How do you change door speakers on a 1998 Tacoma?
There are complete pictures for the removal of the door panel so you can access the speakers at www.dynamat.com go to the "gallery" then down to 2000 Toyota Tacoma at the bottom of the page (Company vehicles and projects). I installed Dynamat on the inside doors mostly following these pictures--and the speakers need to come out to do this installation. (keep chanting, if the guy at Best Buy can do it in 15 minutes... so can I!) 1. Unscrew everything that you can find on the door panel (handles, door opener assembly). Remove the window crank if you have one (see 3). Use the panel removal tool to gently lift all the internal connection pins straight out. (I put a piece of construction paper around the end of it to avoid scratching any paint). There are one or two visible panel pins, the rest are internal. To remove the visible pins without damaging them, release their grip by pushing the center portion all the way in with a pen or pencil. The pin will release. Be careful when you reset the pins they can break! 2. Pull the door opener assembly thru the door panel. It does require some fine manipulation to pull it thru the door panel. 3. If you have window cranks... gently look under the window crank cover using a towel covered screwdriver to pry it up... find the end of the pin (not the hooped top portion) and push it out from one side with another small screwdriver. It will fly out so either cover it on the other end or watch where it lands!) The handle will pop right out then. This was the hardest part of this job... it requires some care and patience. After everything is done and you are replacing it, put the pin back on the removed crank handle and then push it firmly onto its original position. It will click and hold. There is probably a specialized tool for this, but it is seemingly impossible to hook it from the top and pull it out... I tried using a paper clip. Pushing the pin out from the bottom is easiest.

How do you fix fuel gauge on 1996 tercel?
There is a float. If you're inside the cockpit facing the back seat it's on your left. It's mounted to the fuel pump mount. I had this same problem with my '96 Tercel when I installed a Supra fuel pump. It WAS in fact "sticking". I pulled the assembly out again and made sure the "wire stick" that holds the float wasn't bent, then, i "lubed" it with some good old WD-40 and reinstalled. Turned the car on and BAM works like new. You must be very carefull not to bend the wire holding the float in place because it doesn't get a whole lot of clearance inside the tank and can easily get caught on a wall.

There are so many things it could be� so lets keep it simple (at first)� Are you sure there is gas in the car, if so then pull off the fuel line and make sure there is fuel coming out of it. If there is not then you could have a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump. Is there spark? Pull off one of your spark plug wires and stick you finger in it and have a friend turn over the ignition, if you dance around and scream in pain then you are getting spark. If not then you could have problems with the cap and rotor, the coil, the crank position sensor or the ignition module. These are the most simple things to check, but you question is very vague and your problem could be almost anything, from something stupid to broken timing belt to your motor having to little compression to start. What causes a 2000 sable to rough idle when cold but a smooth idle when engine is warm?
Most likely bad intake manifold gasket. When the engine is cold the engine shrinks which unseals the intake and allows a small amount of unregulated air into the engine causing it to idle rough. as the engine heats up it expands sealing the leak causing idle to improve. You should also get lean codes from the computer as the engine is running to lean. Very common problem with the DOHC engine.

Sounds like a headlight swithch to me. Stan The Light Control Module is going out. The headlights are the first to go. It is a black box right above the accelerator under the dash.
