yes check the wiring in the starter u have bad wire that's not connected or its burn with the heat

Check the crank sensor, it's most likely bad. also the crank sensor cad take out the cam sensor. Could be fuel starvation: * Plugged fuel filter * Under-pressured fuel pump - starting to fail See "Related Questions" below

Probably fuel pump bad check valve allowing fuel pressure to bleed off. Try turning key on and off about 6 times (each time you turn key on the fuel pump runs for about 5 seconds) and see if starts faster when engaging starter. If so then replace fuel pump should fix it. If you can pull the "dog house" the fuel line on rear of engine has a guage port. Put a guage on it overnight and see if pressure is gone next morning. Pressure should hold overnight if check valve is good.

Find and remove the daytime driving lite relay and or fuse, or loosen ebrake adjust a little and drive with ebrake on one click or jumper across the switch at ebrake that makes lights think its on but ya didnt here that from me LOL, Have you tried to push the small button located just to the left and below the headlight switch? Press that button four times in a row. You will hear a chime and your auto headlights will be disabled. (This may only temporarily disable them. I think after you shutoff and then restart, the auto headlights are enabled again.)

This is based on an experience with a friend of mine...however your problem my not be this easy. ASTRO's have "daylight running" lights. This means that whenever the van is on, the headlights are on (unless you've bypassed this). The friend of mine assumed that because her headlights were always on, she had an "automatic headlight system". This assumption lead her to believe that she would not need to "turn on" her headlights at night, because they were already illuminated. What she didn't realize is that the tail lights are not illuminated during "daylight running". So, when night time arrived, she was driving around without tail lights...all she had to do was turn her headlight switch to "ON" in order to get the tail lights to work. I hope your solution is this easy.

Freeze or expansion plugs are located at various places through the engine block in the event that the block does freeze it will hopefully push a plug out before the block cracks. Depending on the leaking one, you need to locate it, remove anything that obstructs you from accessing it first. You have to use a litle creativity on how you get it out. A punch or a chisel is my prefered tool choice. After you get it out, use a block of wood to seat the new one in. Or you can you a rubber one that it expanded with a socket.

I had the same problem and found the cause to be a bad terminal connection behind the battery. You will have to remove the battery to get at the plug. I found that one of the female connecters had a bad connection. I could tell which one because the plug was a little distorted from getting hot. I pushed out the bad female connector and replaced it with a new one which you can get from any auto parts store. Try to find a heavy duty connector. You may have to remove the plastic insillator from the new connector . (Spade connector)

It is quite simple. You have an upper and lower radiator hose and 2 heater hoses. If you need anything else then go to a parts store and purchase a Haynes manual.

There are several things that you need to do to get a good pedal. Start bleeding the brakes on the right rear then left rear then right front then left front. also when bleeding the brakes DON'T PUMP THE PEDAL Push it down once to keep from mixing the air with the fluid. Then let off of the pedal and wait 5 seconds before pumping once again. This takes longer but it is effective. Make sure you have new fluid going through the system at the right rear before going to the next wheel.

There is a c type clamp on the inside of the hand control where it meets the door. You will have to push in on the doors panel to see it, its usually copper colored. It comes out in one direction, you will need to get a flat head screwdriver and push one of the ends of the clamp (pin as its really like a "c"wire) and id should pop out and you can pull the knob off. Put the pin on the knob (but not all the way into the slot) before installing the knob. then after you slide the knob on use a screwdriver to pust the "c" pin back into place.

The fuse box is located underneath the steering column, at the driver's side feet, hanging from underneath, and generally secured with tape that says "OK FUSE".

To change the head lamps, you will need to remove the headlight assembly. Each assembly is held in place by two plastic retainer clips. I've added a link to a picture of them to the right. After you remove those clips, the headlight assembly can be removed so that you can access the bulbs. Once you have access to the bulbs, simply disconnect the wiring harness, and rotate the bulb counter-clockwise to release it from the assembly. Installation of the new bulb is the removal procedure is reverse order. Take care to make sure that everything is lined up properly when reinstalling everything. A couple common mistakes are; not getting all three tabs of the bulb into the assembly, and not placing the assembly back into the groove properly. Have You Tried The Starter Inhibitator? On Autos They Have A Switch That Stops The Car Being Started In Any Gear settings Other Than Netural Or Park And Some Even Have Them On The Brake Pedals Too So That You Have To Start Them With It In Neutral/park And Have Your Foot On The Brake Pedal. You Can Bypass Them But I'm Unsure How To Or You Can Remove And Replace Them. Regards M.R.

The 4.3 liter Chevy Astro head gasket torque specification is 160 pounds. The head gasket bolts should be torqued in 40 pound intervals.

The best way to change the head lamp is to open up the glove compartment, pull out the manual, open it up to page 67. and read "How to change the head lamp of your '93 Ford Club wagon van."

The "generic" answer for this and all vehicles when it comes to a fuse constantly burning out, is to check for a faulty ground somewhere in the electrical system. That's the first suspect. Sometimes a ground wire will come loose from one of the systems you mentioned and overload the fuse. Also make sure you're using the right apmerage fuse for the job. you don't want to be using a 10amp fuse where a 25amp fuse should be employed, for example.
