How do you program the garage door opener in your 2008 Chevy impala?
The owners manual will tell you how to do it.
How do you replace the rear window defrost module on 2006 Impala?
My defroster quit too. I found a wire burned in the connector that is found under the fuse box that is located inside the car on the passenger side kick panel.
You have to remove the entire kick panel to access the large white connector not just the fuse door. The panel just unsnaps as you lift up and out. Start from the panel seam beside the passenger seat and lift up and back. You'll also have to unsnap the carpet there too.
You'll see the white connector that has a lot of wires on it. If you'll unsnap the connector you'll see the burned wire. It will be thicker than the others and purple. Just cut the purple wire on both sides of the connector and splice them together with a piece of wire the same gauge and it will work fine.
Low tire pressure light stays on my 1999 Grand Am?
This same thing happened to me, i think the light should just say "tire pressure", because i thought my tire pressure was low but apparently it was to high, the correct pressure is 30psi if you have to much this signals the light. once you get the tire pressure down to spec, you have to reset the light by taking the fuse box panel cover off on the driver's side. then push the rest button (red and towards the top of fuse box), but don't forget this will also reset your oil change alert system as well.
How do you turn off low tire pressure light on a 2005 Chevy impala?
Read the owners manual. Turn the key to the on position (not start) with the radio off. Wait 10 seconds. Press the "display" button on the radio and hold for 10 to 12 seconds. the radio display will light up . PRESS "display" and "1" to select functions. display i think is enter . read owners MANUAL.
It's really simple. Turn the key on but not to start the engine. Make sure the radio is off and hit the "display" button for a couple of seconds, the big knob on the bottom on the left of your radio until the "settings" display shows. Hit the scan button to the right until "Tire pressure" comes up. Hit # 1 on your radio select buttons until it says "reset". Push the "display" button until you hear a "beep". Press the scan button a couple of times until it says "exit" then press "display". After it "beeps" you're all done.
If you had an owners manual why would you ask for help.
How do you disassemble a jaguar xk8 inside door panel?
If you look at the inside the handle you will see a small round screw cover. Remove that cover and there will be a Phillips screw in there. Remove the screw and you should be able to remove the inside door handle.
Next, remove the rubber lining in the little storage compartment in the door, there will be one screw in underneath for you to remove.
Next remove the small trim piece along the next to the window switch.
Now you should see a small screw holding the window switch in, remove that screw and pry out the switch. Disconnect the electrical connector going to the switch. You should see one more screw that was hidden by the switch. Remove that screw.
Now remove the small speaker on the upper inner corner of the door, you should be able to just pull it out. Remove the connector to it.
Now you can simply start pulling off the door panel. There are tools made for this but you should be able to do it by hand.
Here's a video that shows how it is done:

How do you replace the fan belt on a 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS?
The alternator is the adjustment point. Loosen the bolts holding the alternator to the engine and slide the alternator in towards the engine. This will allow you to remove the fan belt. However, if you also have power steering, the power steering belt may have to be removed before the alternator belt can be completely removed. Loosen the bolts holding the power steering pump assembly to the engine and slide the pump towards the engine to remove both belts.

Where is the hazard warning flasher on a 2000 Impala?
upper right by the dash board On the impalas the hazard flasher is built into the hazard switch on the dash. The front of the dash must be removed in order to get to the hazard/turn signal switch, (not as hard as it sounds). remove fuse panels on both sides of dash. under each remove one screw. Remove two screws above instrument cluster. Unclip panel right above pedals. Remove two more screws. Dash panel should be ready to be removed, remove slowly it is secured by clips all the way across. Before You start, You should lower the steering wheel to the full down position and have the car's shift lever all the way down into (low Drive........I think). The hazard turn signal switch shoulb be just right of the instrument cluster.
How do you fix the left front ABS sensor on a 2001 Impala?
Before replacing the hub inspect the wiring harness. It is probably fried. I replaced both hubs to no avail then replaced the wiring harnesses on both sides and that fixed it.
The ABS sensor is located inside the front wheel bering. To "fix"the sensor, requires replacement of the wheel bering hub.How do you adjust the parking brake on a 1999 Chevy Metro?
Underneath your vehicle, a steel threaded cable comes from the back of one hub and is joined by a short cable from the other hub--then the original cable runs to a threaded end with an adjuster nut in it--and one smaller nut on the end outside of that--(this is the equalizer bar)--you'll see it real close to your transmission. You might have to jack-up the back of the vehicle??? Pull the parking brake lever up sharply and then release it. Pull the parking brake lever to the second click and leave it there. You're looking for a slight drag of the brake shoes when you spin the wheels. To increase the drag, get under at the equalizer bar and turn the adjusting nut to take up the slack in the cables. Get out and spin the rear wheels if you think it's to tight. I will say don't be afraid to crank on it for a while as in this case, a little adjustment really does not go a long way. When you think you have the drag right, go back in the car and pull the brake up the the fourth click. At this point the wheels should be locked and you should not be able to turn them even when trying hard. If you can, tighten them up a little more. Once you've done this, release the brake and make sure the wheels spin freely. If they are still binding due to the parking brake, back off the adjustment a little. And that's basically the whole adjustment procedure.
Can you continue to drive with noisy valve lifters?
if your car needs major work done to it don't spend a fortune fixing it but usually you can drive the car "into the ground" meaning until it dies with normal maintance like oil changes and that stuff with the lifters being bad. what you should do when you hear the noise from the lifters starting take your foot off the gas for a minute and then slowly give it more gas.
Why is the generator not charging on my 1963 Impala?
In all probablility the voltage regulator is bad.
Attach the Freon bottle to the low pressure port on the air conditioning compressor. Release the Freon into the air conditioning system. A recharge kit can make this process very simple.

Check the voltage levels. If the regulator is having a little trouble, the voltage may jump around a little. It's usually not much of a problem, but if you're very concerned, take the vehicle to an auto parts retail store that has the ability to check your charging system.
