The bulb type should be listed in your owner's manual (you did keep it, didn't you?)

Volvos normally use halogen bulbs which must be handled very carefully. Wear clean rubber or cloth gloves since any skin oil that gets on the bulb glass can cause it to shatter when it reaches operating temperature.

Open the hood/bonnet and look in each front corner of the engine compartment. There should be a plastic holder for the bulb, accessible from the rear of the lamp cover. Pull off the power connector and release the metal spring that holds the bulb in place. Carefully remove the old bulb and set it aside somewhere safe so it won't fall and shatter. Take the new bulb (while you're wearing those gloves, of course) and put it into the holder. There should be little detents that align it correctly in the holder. Compress the metal spring and put it into place, then reinstall the power connector.

Aside from the fact that halogen bulbs are very finicky about being handled, the job is actually pretty easy.

It is generally a small fuse about 5 amps. It typically feeds off the tail light fuse and goes to the dash dimmer switch. If the tail light fuse is blown, you won't get dash lights either.

Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem

Check the fuse and relay marked TNS. check fuse fuse panel is labled with each fuse if you checked the fuse + the relays and everything is ok, it's your (DRL unit)or if you prefer = minus 150$!! Good luck and don't worry, it's really easy to change except for where they put this small box. (behind left side of dash!!)

take it to the nearest Saturn or GM dealer to have it looked at

the only thing you can do is take it to the dealer. There are to many things that could be going on with the system and you do not want to fool with it.

check the dimmer switch, turn the light know left and right. sounds like that is the problem. turn it with the lights ON!!

Check fuse panel in passenger foot well, two columns of small fuses. Check fuses #6 and #9. They are 6 and 9 down from the top in the left hand column. Try hitting the dashboard over the cluster with your hand. It's a common problem that the air bag light comes on and all gages drop. I get that now and then. Give the dash a hit and it comes back to life.

COULD be many things; check the easy/inexpensive ones first; bad/loose plug wire. Clogged fuel filter. If you totally depress the gas pedal and hold it down while cranking, the fuel that may be collected in the cold-start injector will drain - SHOULD even start if the problem is a partially clogged filter.

There is a clip that holds it on and very hard to get to unless you know what you are doing.

If your oil pressure is remaining that high, I suggest having it checked with a manual pressure guage to see if the reading is accurate. It sounds to me as if you might have a bad oil sending unit. After checking it manually you may be pleasantly surprised to find that a new oil pressure sending unit will solve your problem. good luck.

First, I would check the fueses, below the dash by the drivers feet. If not that, you should check the switch, try inter-changing it, if that doesnt work, you should check for burnt wires. I've had this problem before.

The sender is in the tank and something is wrong with it. It probably needs a new sending unit.

It's not easy! You have to remove the instrument bezel. (all of the screws around it) and the plastic piece on the bottom of the steering column. If you have a clock in your gauges you will need a tiny flat head screwdriver to take out the screw that holds the clock adjusting knob on. Pull the bezel out. If you can't get to the blown bulb you have to take out the clear shield. You may have to loosen some of the bolts that hold your gauges in to get to a specific bulb. Hope that helps!

Sounds like your parking brake is on... this can also be an indicator that your brake fluid is very low

If its just on or flashes all the time then you have a problem with your security system. If it just comes on when you start the car then dont worry about it. Go see a dealer if there is an issue,

the light in the display is probly burnt out. if you take the radio out you can take the top off it and the light is right at the display. you can take it out with a screwdriver. sometimes the light is just loose and will still work but if you need a new one you can get it at www.corvetteradios.com. hope that will help you out.

i have a Chevy van 90 somthing with the same problem the parking light switch i replaced it fixed it right up the bad switch also caused me to not have any light in rear except brake lights

We had a speedometer problem it was the key that locked the speedometer driver gear to the transmission output shaft. The key was broke had to pull the rear housing on the transmission to get to the gear. Yea you have to pull the transmission. Ez

The S light refers to sport mode on the trany. The sport mode changes the shifts slightly in an automatic trans. The car will perform better in s mode in stop and go traffic. The button to change to S mode is located on the shifter.

Several conditions can cause the brake warning light to stay on: 1) Your parking brake could be on or at least the position sensor could be sending a signal that the parking brake is on. 2) there could be a hydraulic pressure imbalance between the front and rear of the master cylinder when the brakes are aplied. 3) The ABS system (if installed) is sensing a faulty ABS condition.

1)Fuse blown (Consult owner's manual) 2)open circuit (broken wire somewhere within the entire path, from tail light to battery!) 3)Faulty Lamp Failure Sensor (e.g., the little yellow box behind the carpeting in the driver's side of the trunk of my 1991 Camry) It's tough...just repaired the box (fixed brake lights); everything was fine, until the next day...now the taillights, dash lights are out, as the fuse keeps blowing. I just had the same problem and replaced the daytime running lamp module. Ford part # xl2z-15a272-ab. This part is located behind the drivers side head light and gotten to thru the wheel well.

The shifter lights in the 1999 Grand Cherokee is not a light bulb, but rather a thin EL panel.

There are two parts to it, a voltage resistor, and the EL panel itself.

You need to remove the console first. There are 2 screws under the front rubber pad, two under the cup holder, two in the bin. Remove those six first, take the storage bin out, then slide the rear cupholder out, remove the two screws under the cup holder, and one in front of it.

There are a total of 6 flat screws, and 3 self tapping screws you have removed.

Put the parking brake on, shift the tranny to N, and the transfer case to the middle position if equipped.

Remove the entire console. Slide the shifter beezel as far up vertically as you can. There are 4 clips you ned to remove to do it.

You will see a blue and black wire running into the back. Follow those wires to the resistor. You will see a transparent EL panel attached to the resistor by two clips.

Usually, one or both of these clips has come loose, causing the light to work intermittantly. Clip them back on, and turn on the headlights to confirm that the light works correctly now.

Re-install everything in the opposite order.
