usually it's the speedometer cable that goes bad, you can reach behind the dash and unplug it from the speedometer and with some pliers undo it from the transmission. If you can spin one end and the other does not spin it is bad.

Other than measuring it, any Auto Parts store has this information. The maximum wear diameter of the drum is cast onto the outside of the drum.

you pull UP on the handle to latch the door, may have to pull hard. Slamming may latch also but is not the correct way.

bad bearings in it, the compressor, or bearings needs replaced... i just disconnected mine and took the pulley and belt off it.

Possible causes are many. Bad wheel sensors, bad wiring, bad controller, are all possibilities. The ABS light doesn't mean you have no brakes, just that the Automatic Braking System is not operating due to a fault. The fault will likely be most easily diagnosed by a technician.

The rear wheels need to be in the air, or the drive shaft removed.

Recently I was told that the repair job to fix this would cost $350, which wasn't bad, but (even though somewhat amateur) I figured I could at least try doing the repair myself. I did and saved almost $200.

The Solenoid Pack is located just below the air filter working from the topside of the engine.

1. Remove the air filter. (after you buy the part from Chrysler, you'll know what to look for)

2. Clean the area very well so that sand or dirt does not fall into the holes after you remove the solenoid pack.

3. From there remove carefully. (you don't need any special tools other than sockets and wrenches) - you'll see 3 bolts holding the solenoid pack down and you'll also need to remove the solenoid sensor wire.

4. Be sure to remove any remaining dirt or gasket.

5. Install new solenoid.

6. Replace air filter. Make sure you don't forget any steps.

7. If you need to reset a check engine light, simply disconnect the battery.

Like I said, I'm no auto mechanic genius, but this was not that hard to do...just requires about 2-3 hours of time.

I had this problem with my 91 power ram. Replace the hall effect sensor in the distributor. Intermittent break in the parts wiring causes no reference signal for the pcm. thirty dollars at the parts store and you'll be headache free.

take out the glove box tray it is under it.

You may try to disconnect all the motor mounts and jack up the engine if you only lack an inch or two to removew the oil pan.

it is in the glove box on the right side of the dash you have to remove the plastic box the flasher should be to the left under the box.

Rent a clutch fan removal tool from an auto parts store.

Or, use a vice grip and long pipe on a single water pump pulley bolt and a channellocks on the fan, but say goodbye to your knuckles

Not enough detail. What class (1500, 2500, 3500), what engine (V6, 5.2L V8, 5.9L V8), what rear end? It's anywhere from 2 tons with the shorty V6 to 5 tons with the 5.9 3500

I replaced a water pump on a 318 in a 95 pickup today it may be similar. 1st drain the radiator Disconnect the battery & then you have to get the fan off. Do this by putting a wrench on it and then taping the wrench this acts like an impact hammer. If you try and turn the wrench everything moves. Once the fan is removed pull it out if there is room, if not proceed to take the fan shroud off (should be 2 bolts on each side)and lift it out with the fan in it. You should disconnect the coolant overflow hose from the radiator and slide the window washer fluid tank (if it's attached)up off of the shroud. 2nd unloosen the water pump pully bolts(4) but do not remove. 3rd remove the belt and now you can take the bolts out of the water pump pully and remove it. 4th disconnect the heater & radiator hoses, remove pump bolts and pry pump off. You may have to buy a separate heater return tube if one does not come with the new pump. I almost forgot, some of the pumps have a pressed on pully so you can eliminate some of the work above. later John

follow the top water hose back to the block and take it off then the housing has to come off and that is your thermostat

A Ram Van can not be towed with the rear wheels down with out unhooking the drive shaft.

there is a intmitent relay under the dash.above the sterring column,it maybe gray in color,or could vary. but as fara srelay i dont really think so as i have a 1987 and is fused withte realy under th dash.

Generally you have to take off the thermostat housing (where the top radiator hose attaches to the engine) you need to unclamp and remove the hose then the housing normally 2-4 bolts then it will be underneath. You can get a new one at any auto parts store.
