What size engine in 2011 4 wheel drive?
The 2011 four-wheel drive vehicles varied widely in engine size depending on the make and model. For example, popular models like the Ford F-150 offered options ranging from a 3.7-liter V6 to a 5.0-liter V8 engine. Whats the secret to installing rubber freeze plugs so they dont pop out?
The point of a rubber (or any other kind of) freeze plug is that whatever the plug in in is not SUPPOSED to freeze and the freeze plug is a last-ditch effort to protect the inside of whatever the plug is in (a car engine I assume?) from the damage caused as the liquid expands as it freezes. The plug is the last line of desperate defense from abuse; you need to take precautions (like filling your radiator with antifreeze) that will PREVENT the ice from forming. 5/5/2009: I decided to install a rubber freeze plug in my vehicle. According to the directions on the back of the package, the washer that sits behind the nut, should be almost flush with the engine block. The nut should be turned 2-3 complete turns for the plug to properly seat.
yes, checking all the grounds is first, and even running an extra ground here and there is ok...but consider... The window relay or motors went bad, the sending unit in the tanks is no good, and you need some bulbs...:) dave
that could be a number of things,i'll give you the most common.
weak spark clogged fuel filter clogged air filter wrong ignition timing low compression bad fuel pressure regulator(stuck open) a bad vacuum leak. problems with the IAC (idle air control)sensor among others.
Answer
another common problem could also be main relay on left side lower dash. engine would start due to fuel pressure in rail. but shut off due to failure of this main relay. this complaint usually occurs when hot/sitting in the hot sun.

Can the freeze plug be re-used?
Do not attempt to reuse a freeze plug. They are pressed in to make a tight seal and will not seal properly if reused.
1982 ford bronco wont start after fuel pumpfilterstarterbatterystarter solenoid was changed?
Try using logic!
1. Take out the spark plugs/injectors. Try and crank the engine over. Does it turn over? If it doesn't then try again with the lights on. Do the lights dim to nothing when cracking? If yes, then your battery is dead - Replace.
2. If the lights don't dim then your starter is not getting juice. Does your starter solenoid click? If not then the fault is in your ignition circuit from the battery to the solenoid, Check the ignition fuse and wiring.
3. If the solenoid is clicking. Then the fault is in the main power from the battery to the starter motor. Add a light bulb to the power connection on the starter motor, check to see if power is getting to the starter motor, if yes then the fault is in your starter motor, It could be jammed or misaligned. If not then the fault is in the solenoid or power cable to the starter.
4. If this is all correct then try the same logic to the fuel system. Start from the tank and work forward to the cylinder. Is fuel getting to the pump? Is fuel getting to the filter? Is fuel getting to the Carb/Injectors. Check for air locks all along the system.
5. If all else fails, check your timing and other issues using the same logic.
How do you check a modulator valve?
first pull off the line going to it and if it has fluid in it change the modulator. Next, take the modulator off and apply vacuum to the line and stick a screw driver in the end of the modulator and see if the diaphragm moves the valve inside. If the valve doesn't move, replace the modualtor.
- i am assuming ford but also you can pull the vac.line off of carb.or wherever it draws the vacume from without getting under car and check for fluid at that point
Consider getting yourself a service manual as it contains many troubleshooting for your car. Comes very handy sometimes.

Do rear wheel drive cars have rear wheel bearings?
Yes, all wheels run on wheel bearings.
The noise could be a worn or damaged bearing, rust on the brake drum or disk, sticking parking brake, or under-inflated tires. Many garages will do a free brake inspection and they should show you and explain the problem they find if any.
Axles have ball bearings pressed on them and grease would be leaking from them if bad. Shocks can be noisy if you have unusual tire wear, cupping. Loose U-joint can be checked if you have the knick knick sound. Of course a dry axle housing causes a lot of noise and broke teeth can stop you from moving. If you suspect it pull inspection cover and see if there is a lot of loose metal pieces in the grease. It isn't unusual to break a gear tooth in the axle. Especially if you heavy trailer a lot.
You have lost your keys to your 1998 Oldsmobile intrigue How do you get a key made?
The popular answer is to bring your VIN# and proof of ownership to the dealer and they can make you a key. Unfortunately, this is not the case. GM does not keep key code records for vehicles over 10 years old, so in the case of the 1998, they cannot help. The only solutions are:
(1) - Call a locksmith and prepare to pay. Most start at $120 for this service, but they usually charge more.
(2) - Replace the key cyllinder. You can get a replacement at a parts store, with new keys. The problem is, if you don't have the old key, you will have to disassemble the steering column and remove the steering wheel to do this. If you have an air bag, this could cause the airbag to deploy and cost you about $3000 to replace. This makes option (1) above not seem so expensive after all.
Are you sure the battery has enough juice (13.5volts)? Is the engine locked up? Try turning the motor by hand. If the engine is not seized, take the starter off and bench test it. Recheck your negative battery cable, a very good chance your problem lies there.
The same thing happened to my 1995 full size bronco today. I took the battery cables off cleaned each one, and still the same problem. I replaced the starter, solenoid, finally noticed my ground wire from my intake to the fire wall was charred. So I checked my lower battery cable connections and my ground was not connected. I replaced my firewall ground and replaced my battery ground wire and all my problems were solved. Even my dash readings were fixed, I always had crazy readings on my dash (temp, oil pressure and amp gauge) all were fixed with the installation of my new ground wires.

How much can a 15W circuit breaker handle?
Answer for the US: Breakers are rated in amps, not watts. However, a 15A breaker can handle 15 amps, or about 1800 watts (using 120V), or 3600 watts (using 240V). However, this is only rated for noncontinuous loads (those not lasting for more than three hours). For continuous loads (loads lasting three hours or more), one must derate the circuit breaker by 80%. So for continuous loads, that same breaker should only have 1440 watts (using 120V), or 2880 watts (using 240V) on it.

How do you change an ignition key switch?
you have to remove the steering wheel. (if it has an airbag, be very careful not to set it off.) if no airbag, just remove the steering wheel, and on the ignition switch there is a bolt that simply screws out. remove the ignition switch, and replace with the new one. line up the bolt holes, and replace bolt. put steering wheel back on, and youre done.
