You shouldn't have to remove the airbag in order to replace the gas gauge light. The steering column is held up by a couple of retaining bolts. Remove these bolts and the steering column will lower enough that instrument panel will come out easier. The steering column won't drop to the floor when you do this but will hang in midair. If you have a tilt wheel, you might have to adjust the wheel tilt to allow the panel to come out easier. Don't forget to remove the steering column cover though.

check the ignition coil make sure theres power going to it ,and coming out of it. check the ground conection.

1- you did not properly check the fuses. Check ALL of them. 2- a connection has become lose 3- someone has turned the dimmer switch to OFF or very low. It may also have a problem. Place the dimmer switch to the mid position and see if the lights are on (dim). CHECK THE FUSE PANEL LOCATED UNDER THE HOOD IF YOUR VEHICLE IS SO EQUIPPED.

Not sure which valve you are talking about, but it sounds like a vacuum check valve. If so, that's easy...air should flow one way and not the other...just blow in both ends to see if you can.

You will need to take proof of ownership or registration to a buick dealer, along with the vin number, but they should be able to get it off the registration.

Now If the car has ever had the ignition replaced it might not work.

You might go to the Dodge dealership and give them you vin# of the vehicle, they might be able to cut you a new key. Keo Or maybe give you the code and any locksmith might be able to cut you a key... but the dealer only keeps codes for about 10 (ten) years. So hurry. on the passager side door lock cylinder (in door) is the key code also in most cases

This sounds like you need to change the fuse. Check the fuses located under the hood in a plastic covered box in the corner on the right. You can locate the fuse needing to be replace by examining each one to see if the little metal post is broken. These fuses are rather inexpensive and can be purchased by any parts shop i.e. Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.

A failed ECM can certainly keep an engine from starting, but it probably won't be responsible for overheating.

Voltage regulator teminal (A) goes to Alternator Battery Connection

Voltage regulator teminal (S) goes to Alternator Stator Connection

Voltage regulator teminal (F) goes to Alternator Field Connection

Ok this is the info that I have so far: (12VDC SYSTEM NEG GROUND)

There should be multiple letters on the voltage regulator itself.

The F goes onto the field post on the positive side of the alternator.

The I goes to a fused + 12vdc (fuse panel)

The A ?

The S ? I think this goes to the switched "on" ignition point of the key.

Any other valuable hints?

F terminal on the regulator connects to the field connection on the alt.

S terminal on regulator connects to the stator connection on alt.

A terminal on regulator connects to the battery +( Plus) or positive terminal. (senses voltage of battery)

I terminal on the regulator connects to the ignition switch. (turns regulator off & on)

Caution do not connect I to spark coil +(positive) terminal,: may cause engine not to turn off.

Turn on your headlights and try to sart the engine. If the lights go out the battery is probably bad. The contacts on the starter solonoid don't cause it to click.

Code 173 indicates the oxygen sensor is telling the computer that the engine is running rich.

Voltage Regulator? In the alternator voltage limiter? voltage regulator...a little square box usually located on the driver side wheel well.

It can destroy your brain cells if you aren't careful. You can also get high. I'd suggest not smelling it at all.
