The fuel filter is on the passenger side in front of the strut tower. It's really simple to replace. The filter should come with two clips. 1)pull the top clip out from the plastic fitting from the fuel hose to the 'in' of the fuel filter (be careful not to damage the fitting). 2)have a small container cause this might spill a bit and pull the white plastic clip out of the plastic fitting on the bottom of the of the filter. 3)the filter should be loose from the fittings so just pull them off. this is when a bit of fuel should spill out of the filter. NOTE: it the black fittings loosened up from the hose just clamp them with a 1/2" hose clamp. 4)replace the filter with the 'flow' arrow facing down (for most tempos)or which ever way the old one was facing. 5)press on the black fittings and push the NEW white clamps into the fittings on the top and bottom. 6)make sure everything is tight, start up the car and check for leaks. i hope this helped.. check me out sometime...www.cardomain.com/memberpage/647040 Good luck

Take you car in to a mechanic and have the brakes checked.

It is suggested that you use a high temp. RTV make a gasket. Be sure to remove all the old gasket and wipe all the oil from both surfaces, apply the RTV generiously, then bolt the pan on. On my 95 Z28 (with Automatic Transmission), there is a solenoid which releases the shifter button when the brake is pressed so the car can only start with the transmission in park. When the solenoid starts to go bad, it tends to not release in colder weather. I was able to get around this problem by using by hand to lifting up on the solenoid (or by rotating it) while pressing on the brake (perhaps the solenoid shaft binds from ware in the old orientation). I used a piece of wire to lift up on the solenoid by tying it to a nearby bracket, which fixed the problem for now.

Ford has a recall on what is called TFI Thick Film Ignition your symptoms sounds alot like this as I just recently experienced this myself have this replaced and see if it helps the part should be 30-60 dollars good luck

I've been to my local ford dealer and ordered the EGR Valve and asked at the same time where it's located. He provided me with a picture illustrating it. It's attached on the right side of the manifold. I will need to take off a plastic cover in order to get there. It's on the opposite side of where you put the oil after a motor oil change... it should be on the top of the panel above your radiator but mine says .052 to .056 of an inch use a feeler gauge if you need too

There is more than one vacuum hose. Which one? The one that controls the opening and closing of the vents for cold air distribution

The fuse panel on a 1990 Ford Tempo is located under the dash to the left of the steering column.

Blown fuse, defective heater control switch, bad resistor pack, loose or disconnected wire.

On the front of the engine basically behind the thermostat housing.

use the jack handle it is the one that also removes the lugnuts it almost fits but if you are patient it wont cost you twelve bucks for I think it was a 18mm socket.

Sounds like the ignition switch is bad

look at the bracket where your rear veiw mirror attaches to the windshield,,, ok then on the bottom side there is a little hexagon screw,,,take it out with a small Allen wrench,,then slip the rear veiw mirror up off the steel base that is glued to the winsheild itself,, you should have no problem

definitly a part...either the odometer unit itself, a speedometer cable or just the gear that's in the transmission under the cable...I say this as I've never seen a digital speedometer on any topaz or tempo from 1990 a before

I had an 88 Tempo and the purpose of each fuse was marked on the fuse block. Take a closer look.

If you mean the nuts holding the axle/bearing assembly, I believe they should be torqued to 230 foot-pounds, or one 160 pound person standing (not jumping) on the arm of the wrench 1.4375 feet from the center.

i have a 91 sonoma. For advice it was easiest to unbolt the the flywheel/flexplate cover. this allows you to wiggle the starter towards the front of the truck and then lower it down. ( you do not need to remove the cover; just move it out of the way.

behind strut tower between tower and fire wall driver side in wiring harness. looks like printer ink cartiage mine was white cant miss it.

MECHANIC TOLD ME IT IS LOCATED UNDER THE TOP HOSE TO THE LEFT OF THE TOP OF ENGINE......NARROW HOSE COMING FROM RADIATOR.....STANDING IN FRONT OF OPEN ENGINE COMPARTMENT.....IT WILL BE @ ABOUT THE 2PM POSITION.....HOSE ONLY ABOUT 1- 1 1/2 INCHES WIDE. On the right side of the motor, mounted to the drivers side of the motor between the motor and a hose. Its smaller than you would expect.

Underneath the upper left (drivers side) radiator hose. Pull the hose back a little and you can see it.

You probably have a slipping clutch band in your transmission. Take it to a transmission shop.

Look either in the trunk left side behind panel or behind the kick panels in the passenger compartment
