How do you disable the daytime running lights on a 2001 Volvo S60?

Disabling the daytime running lights is a dealer/shop computer program change. When I asked to have it done at a Volvo dealer, the service rep said no way. I pointed out the owners manual said only Canadian models could not be shut off. He said ask sales and I did - they said sure and went back to the shop to tell them it was ok. Now mine are off. PS since I was getting something else done they did not even charge for it.

Does an alternator make noise before it breaks?

If it is a "physical" failure, it'll likely be the bearings that give out - and most times, most bearings will start making a groaning or humming type sound.

If the failure is electrical in nature, it is common for there to be no sounds or symptoms like that to give you fair warning.

Low voltage resulting is things like starting problems, battery not charging, dimming lights, will be common symptoms of a failed alternator.

Where is the blower motor resister in a 2001 Grand Prix?

It should be next to the glove box. There should be a small removable insert inside the glove box door on the right. Pull this open, and there will be a fuse box with the blower motor fuses. There's one for the lower settings, and a separate fuse for the "High" setting.

AnswerYou asked where the resistor was not the fuse. The above answer gave the fuse location. The resistor is located under the dash on the passenger side. I believe there are 3 screws holding it on. It's a pain getting up there and getting it out so be patient. Answer 3For pics and a write up on how to replace check out the following website:

What size are the Speakers on a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT?

the front door speakers are 6 1/2'' and the back speakers are 6x9's and there is a dash tweeter

*Applies to all 3000GT's 1991 thru 1999. Good luck mounting a 6 1/2 inch speaker in the doors. In fact, good luck mounting a 6 3/4 inch in the doors. I will give you $50 cash if you mount speakers readily available from your typical audio store in the stock housing. Mitsubishi, in all of their wisdom, had Infinity make a 7 inch speaker that is like, the only speaker in the world that fits the 3000GT's and Dodge Stealth exclusively with the stock mounting plate. What is required to mount a universal speaker size(6.5" and 6.75") inside a 3000GT or Dodge Stealth, is custom fabrication, because they will not fit! Same with the dash tweeter. JBL used to make a replacement that fit, but discontinued that model. You will have to custom mount the dash tweeters inside the stock housing.

Can I have the money please if I install the speaker?

Only Kidding but if it's a 7inch speaker that you need instead of a 6.5 or 6.75 inch speaker you can look at marine speakers. The Alpine SPR-M70 is a 7 inch 2 way speaker. There are others as well but Just thought I would give you an example. But you are correct the area for the speaker is off, but you can get the common 6.5inch speakers in thee with out to much trouble.

Where is the power steering reservior located on a 2007 pontic g6?

If you look on the passenger side of the engine compartment, you will see a black reservoir (almost box shaped) container with a screw cap ( about 1-1/2to 2" dia. with dipstick attached) mounted between the drive belts and the air intake at the top of the engine. In my 2000 SE the cap is is clealry marked with filling reccommenations and warings. Be CAREFUL NOT TO OVERFILL over the mark on the dip stick- patience is key here to avoid uneccessary repairs later on. If yo have a GT, I imagine it would be the same general location, not sur with the GTP's because of the super charger proximaty. Good luck - Len, NJ.

AnswerGreat answer above, just remember to check it while hot!

How do you turn off the Service Engine Soon light in a 1996 Saturn SL2?

There is no reset switch ... it's a warranty/mileage item in the memory module. When the light comes on, instead of taking the vehicle in for service, try diconnecting the battery for about five (5) minutes before reconnecting it. The light should go out. If it doesn't, then a technician needs to check your system. I've had to reset the light on my 2000 Grand Marquis 3 or 4 times already.

If you disconect the battery for 15 seconds and that does not make it go out then you will have to take it to some who can reset your computer.

if you have an autozone close by they can read, reset/clear any codes you have on your ecm..

The '96 and newer, I believe, need an OBD II scan tool. Don't just jumper the ALDL under the dash or you'll blow your PCM. The SES light coming on is the PCM telling you there is a problem somewhere in the system, and you should get the code to see where it is. Fixing it will shut that light off, after resetting the PCM (disconnect battery for 15 seconds, or pull the PCM B fuse for same time and then replace).

this may be random but i had to post just in case (i own a 94 sl2) i had put an after market air filter on the car, and removed the IAT sensor on the snorkle, that made my "service engine soon" light come on, put the iat back on, light went away, AND this was during a period where i disconnected the battery every night so i do not believe the battery trick is gonna help you in a Saturn...unless you truly DONT have a car problem that needs to be fixed, but if you do, then that light is not going to go away until you remedy that problem.
