Where is the computer on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Laredo?
iT would be hard. Exhaust pipes are filled with black film dust smog which is very dirty and smlley. If you wore a gas mask and heavy duty gloves it may make the job easier. See your Jeep manual, it will tell you steps A-Z on how to remove it.
I would like to know, approximately, how many registered jeeps are on the roads in the u.s.a.
How do you install jeep driver side window?
99 Jeep Cherokee Classic. I found out that you don't need to remove the window surround and it will save you some time if you don't. The window can be unbolted from the retractor assembly, but everything else is sold only as single unit. It's fairly easy, really, and only requires a few tools. You have to remove the entire interior door panel and disconnect the wiring harness. Just be careful not to drop the window in the process.
What should the oil pressure read on a 1991 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L at idle?
On metric gauge 2.5 to 3 bar, about 40 to 45 psi.
At least 15 psi, 25 psi would be better, 40 psi on a good engine.
If antifreeze puddle on ground from under coolant bucket do i need water pump?
It is possible that the antifreeze is coming from a bad water pump. Clean the engine off. Watch it to see where the antifreeze is leaking from, as it could be a hose instead of the pump.

If it is the brake lights you are talking about, it may be the brake switch. this switch is on the brake pedal and makes the lightrs come on when you press the pedal. if you look to the very top of your brake pedal you should see this switch and a wire connected to it.(You may have to remove some of the trim, you may not. Im not to sure on this year. Hope this helps you some.

How do you fix a 1993 jeep cherokee's wiper switchif no fuse is blownand motor works?
Front or back wiper? If it's the back one, it'll probably be easier to fix. Start with the basics, make sure power is getting to the wiper. If not, either there's a short circuit or perhaps a broken wire somewhere. It's also entirely possible that the switch itself is bad. ***The multifunction switch located on the steering column is notorious for broken wiring. If you look at the side closest to the dash, you can just see a bit of wiring. Chances are there is a break. Any problems with the cruise control will usually begin there also. To remove just twist and pull while standing on the drivers side. Before you do change it, attach a fishing line securely to the wiring coming out of the column, so that you can use it to direct the new wire through the column. Otherwise you have a lot of under dash work. If you are not fussy about appearances, just zip tie the new switch wire to the underside of the column.
Its either of these: fuel filter, O2 sensors both completely dead or pump is failing. I would try in that order as this is the order of least expensive and least work to most. I think the fuel pump is in the fuel tank.
Fuse layout 92 Jeep Cherokee Laredo?
Head on down to your local Auto Palace or other parts store and get yourself a Jeep Cherokee / Comanchee service manual (I've had good luck with Haynes books, Clymer makes good shop books too. The ones at the dealers are too expensive.). In the electical section there is a part that tells you what position number each fuse holds and what it covers. When you look at the fuse block under the drivers dash near the hood release you will see that each position is numbered ( some fuses, some relays). You then can take the corresponding number and match it up with numbers in the shop book. Good luck to you son!!!!!!
YOU CAN GET A FEW YEARS OUT OF A SET OF BALL JOINTS, BUT THEY WILL NEED TO BE GREASED REGULARLY. USUALLY YOU WOULD HAVE THEM GREASED AT THE SAME TIME AS YOU HAVE YOU CAR SERVICED(OIL CHANGE ECT). A NEW SET OF BALL JOINTS MUST BE INSTALLED CORRECTLY USING THE PROPER TOOLS OR BY A PROFESSIONAL. SOME MANUFACTURERS OF AFTER MARKET PARTS HAVE POOR QUALITY PARTS AND THEY DO NOT LAST AS LONG AS THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS PARTS DO. MY FATHRE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH HIS CHEV SUBURBAN. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE BOTTOM BALL JOINTS A SECOND TIME WHEN WE HAD ONLY A REPLACED THEM A YEAR BEFORE. LUCKLIY FOR US THE MANUFACTURER OF THE AFTER MARKET PARTS HAD A WARRNTY ON THE BALLJOINTS AND WE HAD THE PARTS REPLACED WITH A NEW SET FREE. YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK WITH THE PART SUPPLIER YOU PURCHASED YOUR PARTS FROM TO SEE IF ANY WARRANTIES APPLY.

If your connecting a stereo, it's always best to ground directly to the negative side of the battery: however you can connect to a ground under the dash also. Some autos have a ground block at the fuse panel that can also be used but you will need a spade connector.
your cars body is the ground.connect the stereo ground to a metal part of the car, leave the battery connected to a ground, engine should also be connected to a ground
It all depends on the calibration of the fuel level sensor. In general, the light means that you only have a gallon or two of fuel left but that amount is different for each fuel tank.
By the time that happens... well even not telling us the make year or model .. or engine size, or how long it's been happening, or anything else about the vehicle. Once your experiencing these symptoms, it's too late. Your transfer case is gone, you need a new one. Go buy one, and have it installed.. or do it yourself, but your going to get hurt.
In my case it was the ignition switch itself had overheated and seized up. Replace the switch (have to lower the column, disconnect the wiring plug from the switch, and remove/replace the switch.) Clean all connections to the switch, make sure they're connected solidly and not heating up again.

1998 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo interior lights won't turn off how do you fix it?
I just had this happen to my 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited. I turned out to need to replace the wire from the driver door into the car. Additional Info: This is a common problem for jeeps. As the driver's door is the most frequently used, the wires in the door harness have a tendency to kink or break. The same thing happened to my 95 GC Laredo.
I believe they go back to the manufacture for recycling, the longevity of tires depends on: track conditions and surface, how the car is set up, and how soft or hard the tire is, (a soft tire will wear-out much quicker than a hard tire).
Many new cars have hidden meanings with the lights on the dash. My girlfriend's expects a tune up from a certified dealership every 20,000 miles. When it is time for the tune-up the car blinks the emergency brake light on the dash. Even if I tune the car up myself the light will keep blinking until the car's computer is reset by a dealership.
On a 2001 Mitsubishi your car should have lots more life left in it. Even if it is high mileage. But it may be due for servicing.
maybe 2 or 3 gallons at best.... so it depends on your mpg.
What would cause interior lights in my jeep to flicker?
Fuse connections. The connectors for the dome light in the fuse panel get loose, you can try and bend them back with a small screwdriver to make the connection again.
Can you use a 40V 30 amp fuse for a 20V 30amp fuse?
If the form and fit are okay, you are fine since the 40 V is just saying it will operate at a higher voltage.
