yes- only if no compter is present in the car/truck . o2 sensers gage the air-fuel mix. I own two 305 engines, you have to by-pass these if you want your car/truck to run strong..

Take away its cigar.... but seriously there are some engine treatments that can help if the problem is minimal, you can find them at the parts store, but the only real solution in the end is to have the engine rebuilt.

Mine pings also. It's the heat shields that help protect the engine against the temperatures of the catalytic converter and muffer. Hope This Helps.

I suppose it might if the dense fog is of sulphur dioxide instead of water vapor. Leaving that unlikely event aside, let's say no, it's just a coincidence. The check engine light actually means there might be something wrong with your emissions system (nothing to do with your engine, unless you are burning huge amounts of oil). Even then, it's most often caused by simply not tightening up your gas cap at least 3 or 4 clicks.

Go fill your gas tank, close the cap really tight, and it will probably repressurize and that light will go out by the time the tank is empty again.

i have 05 e55amg and just notice white smoke from the exhaust when i start the car and i will drop it off to the dealer to check what the hell is wrong and i will update as soon as i find out.

magnaflow is better performance and flowmater is better sound

a gas line over the muffler may have broke, or you car is older then 20 year old

Could be the clutch is gone. If that is the problem, you can have just the clutch changed, but don't wait too long. If it is the bearing, then have to change the compressor. When it is running, you will see the clutch wobble. The clutch can be changed with the compressor on the car. There is room.

White smoke in the exhaust, more so on a cold start. That's steam. Water is getting into the combustion chamber. Most likely coolant. Put your hand in the white smoke to capture the odor. (don't burn yourself) What does your hand smell like? Coolant (anti-freeze & water) smells sweet. Likeliest cause = head gasket. Possible = cracked head - depending on how hot it got. Less likely = cracked intake manifold. you have a gasket problem and need to have it looked at immediately

From the front of the head it's EIIEEIIE. This is the same on both sides - (I=Intake, E=Exhaust)

With the valve covers off the rocker that aligns with the exhaust port is the exhaust the other will align with the intake manifold runner this would be your intake

No, low gas cannot cause a Check Engine light to turn on. There would have to be a problem within the engine or the engine wiring for that light to come on.

The muffler doesn't have much to do with emissions. Some jurisdictions prohibit glass packs for noise reasons, but the exhaust going into the muffler is pretty much chemically identical to that going out. If a vehicle doesn't pass the emissions test with a glass pack muffler, it almost certainly wouldn't have passed with any other type of muffler either.

The truth of the matter is that it is a common misconception that putting on aftermarket exhaust is going to give you more power, well it will at the peak of your powerband, but that is it, but in fact you will lose more average throughout your power band, meaning that it is nly a good thing to do if you are constantly near redline, ie: racing on a track. lets say your cbr puts out 100HP@14K RPM's, well you might go up to 102HP at that same RPM, but lose 5-10 hp throughout the rest of your entire powerband. Aftermarket exhaust companies know this, but only give you peak HP figures to make sales. If you don't believe me look at any before and after dyno. To help a bit, my friend and I have the same exact bikes being 06 zx6r's. His best 1/4 mile time is 11.8 seconds over multiple runs the same day, I was pulling 11.1 seconds on mine, given it was a very hot day. The difference? mine is bone stock, his has an aftermarket exhaust, air filter and power commander, and we run the same gearing and same tires. but on the flip side his bike's top speed is almost 1mph higher than mine, but I'll be long gone before he hit's it. Simple answer is; aftermarket = less power everywhere except on the last 1 or 2 k rpms which means slower off the line and low rpm to high rpm acceleration, and I don't know of too many tracks that you're going to constantly be in your peak rpm anyways,they also weigh a bit less, but not nearly enough to make up for the lost low and midrange hp. Bike Manufactures have a hell of a lot more money in R&D than exhaust companies do, so they know what their doing. So if you're on the street, save your money and make your bike more personable and custom vs. doing what every other idiot thinks is the way to go.

The part of the exhaust closest to the engine can get up to 400 degrees c (750 f), but is relatively hard to get to.
