The thermostat is located on the front of the engine under the elbow at the end of the radiator hose

1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 Is this for a roller cam engine? 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8. the distributor rotates counter-clockwise for more help i believe that a roller motor's firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

autozone.com has online manuals you can get that info from ANSWER ( 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 ) the distributor rotation is clockwise - Helpfull

how do you adjust the timing on a 2002 kia sportege

it is adjusted by the computer. All you can do is make sure the timing marks are on there marks when cylinder one is at TDC.

The firing order for a VG30E V6 is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The number one cylinder can be found on the left front of the engine.

It's a 2stroke. There is not valve timing, only ignition timing which is handled by the flywheel key. So, as long as the woodreff key isn't sheered, your fine.

inside the van take out the center (dono what its called) "compartment" i guess.. and youll see the distributor. remove the old can which i think is 3 screws. and remove and attach your wires to the new cap and install..

did u get no.1 piston up on compression stroke if not u may have timing off .could be valves r out of adjustment. does it backfire back thru carb.if so ur out of time

i would say to you not to use nitrous on a stock engine. clumy and stupid move. parts can easily break so if you wanted to get a reasonable amount of horsepower, replace the crankshaft, pistons and rings, con rods, and probably the intake and exhaust manifold. its not an easy thing......

Actually it is an easy thing if used in moderation......Start with an adjustable kit that adjusts from 50 to 100 horse........I used a 100 horse nitrous kit on my 2.8 with cast pistons and NEVER had an engine failure....Again if you put a 400 hp kit on a stock bottom end then of course you are going to have problems but mild kits are made and those are the ones to use on stock bottom ends.....
