What is the firing order for a 1990 Toyota truck 22R?
The firing order of any engine should be cast into the intake manifold. Check the manifold for a series of numbers that agrees with the number of cylinders in your engine 1-3-4-2 See http://aarc.epnet.com/application/9081/9081CH2_FIRING_ORDERS.htm Joe, owner 1986 Toyota Pick Up with R22 engine
Where is the starter located on a '95 Toyota pickup?
Which engine? 4cyl or V-6, 4cyl is located back of engine, pass side, toward bottom of engine. V-6 is basically the same place but maybe a little harder to see, impossible to see from the top.
Where is the thermostat located on a 1994 Toyota truck?
ON A FOUR CYLINDER TRUCK,IF YOURE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE LOOKING AT THE ENGINE, THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING IS ON THE LEFT SIDE IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. THERE ARE 2 BOLTS ON THE HOUSING. JUST FOLLOW THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE AND THE HOUSING TURNS STRAIGHT DOWN INTO THE INTAKE. on a 4 cylinder truck, Follow the top Radiator Hose. the stat housing is at the end of the engine side of that hose. On my 94 Toyota Pickup V6 4X4, it is located in a different section than the other answers provided. If you are looking straight at the engine, look to your right and down into the engine. Look for the LOWER radiator hose and follow it into the engine block. Romove the housing and this is where the thermostat on my truck was located.
How do you remove rotors on a 1986 Toyota 4WD pickup?
There should be (2) 14mm bolts holding the Caliper in place. Simply remove those and swing the caliper up and out of the way and the rotor should slide off with ease. Good Luck and Remember.

What is the fuel mileage of a 1985 Toyota pu 20r 2wd long bed?
Depends on the overall condition of the truck. Mine averages about 18-20 MPG in the city and about 24-28 MPG on the highway. My truck is a 1986 Long Bed 2wd with a 22r-e Your truck, if it has a 22r is carbureted the 22re is fuel injected so that may also effect gas mileage between yours and mine. but the numbers are pretty close.
1985- 1995 will work, 22r and 22re are the same head these years. 84 will NOT WORK so make sure its a 85+
Why does my 1994 Toyota truck headlights work tail lights don't work?
Sounds like a blown fuse. Head lights and tail lights run on a different fuse. It is probably not a fuse, as stated above. Most vehicles use many fuses to control interior and exterior lighting. Have the switch tested, or test it yourself, if your mechanically inclined. You can find a wiring diagram almost anywhere online, to tell you the colors of the wires. If you turn your lights on with the door open, and the chime still dings, to inform you; try looking into your Relays. Usually when you turn your parking lights on, or use your hazards, you will hear a click from under the dash, near the fuse panel. On your vehicle, it may even be under the hood.. not exactly sure. I hope i have brought a little hope to your situation, if you have any futher comments or symptoms that could help me a little more, that would be great! :)
What causes very fast idle on a 1993 Toyota 4x4 pickup 22re?
Your idle control valve may cause this.It is located under the front of throttle body.It is a thermostatic control device.Water passes through and heats up thermostat and closes air passage and idles engine down. You can touch the ICV when engine is hot and it should also be hot since hot water flows through it.Sometimes a flow restriction may be the promblem, if it is not hot when engine is hot you have a flow promblem. this unit can be removed and cleaned. It also can be adjusted internally by turning a spanner nut, the more you run the nut in it slows down cold idle speed.....
Oil in anifreeze of Toyota 22RE engine why?
Hopefull its because you blew a head gasket. That's the most common reason. Most of the 22re engines I have seen don't have a line from the oil pump feeding the radiator to assist with cooling. But also check the lines going into the radiator and ensure one isn't there. Could be, if you do , that this line broke in the radiator. Altho easier to fix than a head gasket its also more expensive if you are a do it yourselfer.
Do some pressure checks on the cylinders. Also a fair check is to remove the thermostat, fill radiator with fluid and keep the cap off the radiator. Try to start and see if you have a pressure blow the fluid out of the radiator. If so its definitely a head gasket.
Check to see if you have water in the oil too. Could be a crack in the engine block.
Good luck. Been there and done this.
If you need more help just edit the answer with a question and I will get it.
I too had this problem on a customers engine: Check carefully for damage done to the timing chain cover by a worn chain: Two shiny grooves are a dead giveaway! This can cause leakage from the water pump chamber, leading to water in the oil-sump.
My customers engine had had this problem in the past: the resulting aluminum welding was thin in places, pin holes, under a magnifying glass, were quite evident.
Why does your 1987 Toyota 22r bog down when you give it gas?
It could be a mixture of a couple of things. First could be an intake leak, or a vacuum hose leak. To check for these, get a can of Carb and Choke cleaner, and spray the vacuum lines as well as the intake system. If the motor revs up while you spray the lines, you would have a leak. The other reason for this could be a carborator issue. I recommend removing the carb, cleaning all ports and jets out with carb cleaner, and if mechanically inclined enough, do a full rebuild on the carb. Hope this helps.
Where is the air temperature sensor in a 1993 Toyota pickup?
Not all trucks have this sensor but in those who have it, it is located in the air cleaner housing. Open the unit and you will see if your truck has this installed or not. The sensor is of a small size and has two wires leading to it. This sensor is used for colder climates only.
What is the firing order for a 1991 Toyota truck 4x4 3.0L V6?

92 Toyota Ex cab truck clutch sticking on the floor when pressed suggestions?
First make sure the pedal itself is not getting hung up on anything, ie. the floormat, or the carpet. Next if you look where the pedal mounts to the firewall of the truck there should be a return spring that reaches from the framework of the mounting setup for the pedals to the pedal itself. If that is in place then you must address a hydraulic issue. Make sure the slave cylinder mounted on the transmission is extending properly when clutch is depressed. If the slave cylinder does not, the master cylinder, a broken line, or the slave cylinder itself would be the culprit. If the the slave cylinder checks out, try putting the vehicle in gear with the clutch stuck down. If you can do so without your foot on the clutch I would think the throwout bearing/pressure plate assembly is binding and not forcing the clutch fork back to return the clutch. If this is the case then you're looking at a clutch replacement.

93 Toyota truck stalls at idle and burns real rich what can you do 2 find the pioblem?
change the plugs, sound like your getting to much fuel or it overloading some how . possibly o2 sensor or plugged catalic converter.
I had the same problem, check the idle air control valve located under front side of intake. Should be small rubber hose going in and coming out. IACV should be cold at start and heat up when engine coolant heats up and passes through IACV. If this unit is not hot to touch water is not passing through. A small hose barb fitting that screws into engine beside the thermostat may have a water flow restriction, remove and clean. Over time internal engine water system becomes clogged with mineral deposits.
Never use well water in system, use distilled water.
How do you adjust the idle on a 22re Toyota engine?
there is an Allen screw and a nut on the throttle cable you loosen the nut and the screw and adjust it to make it idle up or down.
How do you replace a knock sensor on Toyota truck 1989 3.0 v6 engine?
Pull of the plenum and all hoses connecting too and mark all hoses your not sure about like vacuum hoses. Now unbolt the intake off the engine and u will see a sending unit looking thing in the base of the engine leading down toward the engine. Unscrew the old knock sensor out and replace with a new one. Put everything back on reverse order. be sure to install a new intake gasket when your in the engine.

How do you put your 1994 Toyota pickup in 4wd?
Should be like the 95. The shifter need only be moved into the correct position to go into 4 wheel. The pickup should have locking hubs so you dont need to get out. If not then move to each front wheel and turn the dial until it points to locked. Then shift the lever in the pickup to 4 wheel high or low. Also look on the passenger visor. It usually has the directions also.
