How to change front turn signal bulb on 98 Honda civic?

Go to the fender just in front of the front tire. You are going to separate the fender liner (thin flexible plastic) from the metal fender wall. There is a screw just above where the bumper cover meets the fender (on the inside of fender near the seam). Remove it. And remove the two plastic pop fasteners rearward(you may be able to just remove the one closer to the headlight) also. You may have to pick up a couple of replacements at the auto store. Now you can separate the plastic fender liner from the fender....reach inside...see the turn signal bulb assemby...twist it to the left and pull it out. You can then pull the assembly closer....and remove and replace the bulb. A small flashlight that you can hold in your mouth (small, tight, dark area) will help.

Other options include removing the entire bumper cover...or pulling out the entire headlight assembly.....not thanks.

All turn signals stoped working on a Ford Explorer 2000 Sport?

This just happened with my 2001... the turn signals on mine only work when the steering wheel is in the most upright position... It's either the multi-purpose switch that needs replacing, the connector or the wiring harness... I was told that because I adjusted my steering wheel each time I got in the truck that I caused the problem... nice, huh?

Answer

The wiring to the brake lights and turn signals are postioned badly right under the tilt steering mechanism...using the tilt steering will eventually cut the wire...i had the same problem in my '01 Sport...in my opinion, it should have been a recall but i researched and it wasn't listed...hope this helps

You turned your car off on drive what should you do?

Turn the ignition key to "acc" to release the steering mechanism without starting the engine, shift the lever to park, turn the ignition key back to lock and remove key. If the car is at a full stop, nothing will happen to the transmission, so's long as it isn't done often.

2000 intrigue turn signals not working?

Mine are working just fine, thanks! I assume yours are not working - try the flasher in the fuse box under the hood, or the fuse for the turn signals on the right side of the dash. Could be the switch has broken in the column (much bigger repair bill), but not likely if the switch seems to click into place in both directions. Another weird thing - if you have two bulbs burned out, the flasher usually quits working. If one bulb is out, it may flash very quickly. Therefore, check the bulbs to make sure they aren't the culprit.

How do you replace the headlight?

On my ford aerostar I coudnt reach the bulb from behind so I had to remove the housing to get to the bulb. First the crome frame and then the headlight case. In the center of the headlight case is the bulb housing. There is a clip that has a tab and you lift it up and pull out. There is the bulb.

What can you do when your turn signals wont work meaning when you go to turn them on either left or right your hazzards come on you checked your flasher fuse and replaced hazzard switch.?

First, make sure the 4-way flasher switch is off. Some flashers only turn on when the turn signal is on as well. If the flashers STILL come on when the turn signal is on, you probably need a turn signal switch... it's inside the steering column and depending on the vehicle type, it can be a real pain to replace, or it can be quite easy. But that just about describes everything that can go wrong.

How do you replace the rear turn signal bulb on a 1997 Sebring Convertible?

inside your trunk there are two or three plastic nuts that you have to remove to get the taillight assembly off the vehicle. once you have the nuts off push on the bolt ends and the taillight should pop out to enable you access to the rear of the taillight. from there its just twisting the lightbulb holders out of their twistseal mechanisms and replacing the light bulbs. be sure to use a clean cotton cloth to handle the lightbulb. you'll regret it if you handle them w/bare hands. they can shatter or overheat and blow out prematurely. once you have the lightbulb that is out replaced just reinsert the light assembly back into the mounting location, guiding the bolts back into their holes. Screw on the 3 plastic bolts and you're all set! just a tip on the plastic bolts, you can use a set of adjustable pliers or the right size wrench, but if they give you a lot of trouble you can use a set of visgrips, but dont over tighten them because they'll ruin your plastic bolts. the bolts are hard to turn with bare hands.

Approximatly how much does it cost to repair a turn signal switch on a 1997 Chevy Lumina when the center brake light comes on but the two main ones remain off?

This more than likely has nothing to do with the turn signal switch. Check the bulbs, fuse, and look for loose wiring.

Actually, I had a similar problem on my 97 Lumina and it was the turn signal switch. I'm getting it repaired tomorrow so I'm not sure what it costs yet.
