Where is the turn signal flasher located in 1997 buick skylark?

Unless there was a design change between 1995 and 1997 for it, the flasher is behind the dash where the steering column goes. It's hard to get at and harder to remove. They just can't make these things easy, can they? What you can do is start the signal and follow the sound of the flasher in order to find it.

Why don't your brake lights come on anymore but your turning signals that use the same bulb still function on your 99 Pontiac Sunfire?

It may be as simple as checking the fuse for the brake lights. Also, check the engine compartment fuse block. Your owner's manual has the specs you need. If the brake and turn signal lights use the same bulb, it has a duel element. One element probably blew before the other. Just replace the bulb. Currently having the same problem with my 98. Yes, the lights are dual element but the brake/turn action share the same element, the park light has it's own element. The answer to this problem I found is located closer to the top of the page titled "Why would the third brake light work but the regular ones don't work on a Pontiac Sunfire. I stumble across this today and it seems to be working,

Hello you got a 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse RS and your left turn signal light keeps flashing it only turns off when you turn off the car why is this?

I would check the relay, and the turn signal switch. Take off the upper and lower covers on the steering column, disconect the connector that goes to the switch on the left side of the seering wheel, remove the two screws, and pull the switch out. The relay is located under your stereo.

How do you change the front turn signal light in a 1999 Honda Accord?

1) Turn the wheels in the opposite direction of the dead signal lamp (e.g. if left turn signal is out, turn wheel to the right).

2) Using a screwdriver, pop the forward most snap holding the wheel well liner in place. To do this, gently pry up the inner piece of the snap from both sides. If they break, you can buy replacement snaps at any Honda dealership. I keep a few on hand.

3) Peel back the liner so there's enough room to get your hand in. Feel around until you find the wires, then follow them to the lamp socket.

4) Turn the entire socket counter clockwise 1/8th of a turn and it will pop out. Pull the entire socket GENTLY out the wheel well.

5) Install the new bulb wearing surgical gloves or holding the bulb with a tissue, as getting any oils from your skin on the bulb shortens the bulb life. The bulb fits into the grooves in one specific way.

6) Reverse these steps to reinstall.

How do you replace the bulb in the rear turn signal of a 2004 gmc sonoma?

This also applies to the 2001 GMC Sonoma:
There should be 2 screws between the bed sides and the tailgate. With the tailgate open, remove the screws and tilt the light out. (In the 2001 Sonoma, you pull the fixture straight back toward you; it is held in place by 2 flimsy plastic pins at this point). Then you remove the bulb holder from the lens and replace the bulb. There are 3 bulbs, and they are connected on the same circuit like old-style Christmas lights. That means if one goes out, the other 2 will no longer function. Before you replace any bulbs, you need to pull all 3 and check them to see if the filaments are still good.

*(My brake light and turn signal light both stopped working because the tiny 3rd auxiliary light was burnt. I replaced the wrong bulb at first and had to drive all the way back to the store to get the other sized bulb, once I figured out which was actually bad...when I replaced the small bulb, the other 2 started working again with old and new bulbs.)

Don't touch any of them by hand. It is always best to use cloth (your shirt will do in a pinch) to handle the bulbs. Oil from your fingers (or grease/dirt) can shorten the life of a bulb drastically. A set of 2 turn signal bulbs was 4 bucks, and the amber pair was also 4 bucks. (I forgot how much the bad one was). You should replace all of them while you're doing this so they are all equally bright and good for several more years until you have to do this again.

Where is the flasher hazard relay on my 91 Integra GS 3DR?

The main relay for the turnsignal/hazard is located under the dash on drivers side. The relay is plugged into main fuse panel and is generally a rectangular black box with 4 prongs.

Behind the left hand side of the instrument panel, located behind the fuse panel.

Where is the turn signal flasher on a 2004 Ford Mustang?

The flasher is underneath the steering wheel. Looking from underneath the steering wheel, it is located to the left near the stereo. It is hard to describe the exact location, just pop your head underneath the steering wheel, and, looking up, there is a little compartment and the flasher is attached all the way to the left of that compartment.

The stock flasher on my mustang was yellow, maybe yours is yellow too. It is a plastic rectangle with a protrusion on one side for a clip. The flasher slides onto a flat metal rectangle, you're going to need to yank it off there to replace it.

1998 GMC Jimmy There is a constant ticking sound sounds like the turn signal but it's not on Which relay is it?

it is behind the glove box, open the glove box, push the glove box catch up, and flip the compartment open, your combo relay is a black relay on the right side, that is where your ticking is coming from, bet thing you can try is to replace it. Mine does the same thing The problem is in the turn signal switch.

How come your blinkers and flashers dont work?

You didn't say what type of car you are having trouble with so I'll have to give you a general answer. Some cars use a flasher unit for flashers and a different one for blinkers. others use a module for both. Since it is rare for two flasher units to go out at the same time I suspect you have a module problem. You can usually obtain one at your nearest salvage yard for a lot less money than the parts store or dealer and the guys at a salvage yard are much more likely to answer any questions you may have about how to change it or where it is located.

What would cause the running lights on a newly wired trailer to not work even though the brake and turn signal lights are working?

Sounds like a bad ground to me. Trailers are NOTORIOUS for have ground problems. Make double-triple-quadruple sure that: (A) The tow vehicle plug is properly grounded to the vehicle frame (B) the trailer plug is properly grounded to the trailer frame. Even though both can appear to be OK, a flake of rust or paint will totally disrupt the circuit.

I had this same problem on my 2000 ford e 150 and after going over everything several times I finally found that my fuse for the running lights relay going to the pigtail that was put on the van when the van was built so its from manufacture, was fuse d under the hood on the drivers side was partially cracked so it looked like it was good every time I checked the power going to it but I put a knew fuse there and my running lights started working and I was so close to taking it in witch would have cost allot more than the price of a fuse, the c and d fuses that go to the trailer light operation are from manufacture so not sure where u can get them...anyway I just used my c fuse and put it in my d slot cause my trailer has no backup lights on it so i did not need it in that spot.
