Turn Signals and Hazard Lights

Remove the bulb from the back side. The lense does not have to be removed.

It is located just to the right of the interior fuse box, behind the kick panel, to the left of the emergency brake.

I just changed one on my 2003 sptc. It's somewhat easy. Dissconnect the neg cable. Wait for 45min to an hr. (safety precaution). take two screws from bottom of steering column casing, carefully remove. Screw the steering tilt handle to the left to remove. Remove the two small bolts that hold the switch assembly. Carefully disconnect the two harnesses that go in to the switch assembly and remove. Ok? Chuck

It means that a light bulb is out on the side where the light solid (not blinking) it could be in the front or rear of the vehicle.

A Hazard light on a car is nothing more then all 4 blinkers going at the same time. Hope This Helps.

There seems to be a short to ground in the wiring somewhere.

I just replaced front turn signal bulb. Since all of them (signal and fog lamps) are integrated with the bumper, you have to do that from beneath. First ,turn your wheels to the max left (if you replacing left side bulb).Inside the arch you'll see that it is covered by plastic shield.You will have to remove plastic clips on the sides of that shield.There are six of them and they are clearly visible.Be careful not to brake clips.Use flat screwdriver to pull hat first,then the whole clip can be removed with fingers.Once all six clips pulled out,plastic shield will almost fall by itself - no efforts needed to detach it. That's it - you've got the access to your signal and fog lamps.

Removing the tire and blocking the front end first with jack stands makes the access much better.

Replace the flasher relay.
Can also be a weak ground connection at the RR connection. Good Luck as these are sometimes very difficult to find.

This depends on what the problem is: If you are after what controls the turn signals themselves, then it's the lever in the dash called the "turn signal, headlamp wiper combination switch," or you are after the part that clicks that is located under (is part of) the hazard light button above your radio, you must remove the plastic molding that runs your dash to get it out.

Check the fuses first of all. I think the Durango has two flashers as well, one for the hazards and one for the signals so it could be a bad flasher.

It is a class c misdemeanor, punishable by at most a $500 fine. There is no way to tell the exact amount because each municipality/JP will have different fine amounts.

Did U checked the turn ligths flasher, switch and wiring?

Sitting in the drivers seat, the flasher unit in on the left side under the panel (if you put your hazards on you will be able to hear it and feel where it is).

I took off the panel under the steering wheel and reached my arm up the the left side. This is where it got tricky- it is under a plastic box. Put your fingers around the sides of the box and push in and the little black box cover should pop right off. I was then able to pull the old flasher off and install the new one:)

If the turn signal light keeps burning out on an E320, it is likely moisture related. It is likely that a seal is leaking.

The fuses for turn signals, I assume you are speaking on a Geo Prism, would be located to the left bottom(to the left of your left leg) front drivers side panel.

The 1998 GMC signal flasher relay switch will be behind the drivers side dashboard. The signal flasher relay switch will be on the left-hand side of the gas pedal.

Bulb Troubleshooting (check in this order):

· Check Fuses

· Check Bulbs

· Check Relay(s)

· Check Light Switch(es)

· Check license plate light bulb and wiring

· Check trailer hitch wiring harness

· Check all wiring harnesses and wire

Most likely its the fuse or a burnt bulb breaking the circuit. Sometimes the license plate and/or the trailer hitch is wired into other circuits and can cause issues in other areas. Sometimes its wires grounding out somewhere on the vehicle. See sources and related links below for bulb information. It can be as simple as a bad flasher unit, or a bad turn signal switch included in the above mentioned checks.

You just replace the flasher relay. The turn signal flasher relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on passenger side of steering column. The Hazard Flasher Relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in convenience center.

Hello there, My flasher unit has broke down and I am looking for a new one. I have a 1997 V40 and the flasher unit was located front left at the bottom under the stearing wheel. When you look closely you will see a black relay with Flasher unit on it Kind regards Pierre try prancingmoose.com and look for one there. I did a search online and found one for like 25 bucks.
