The rpm's should be... in a standard from about 2000-3000.... and in an automatic 2500-3500. However remember that these are general estimates and depend on the size of the motor (a 4-cylinder will have higher rpm's than a V6, and so on) and the condition of the car (fluids/maintenance/etc.).

There is a difference between pressure and flow in hydraulics such as water. If your source is a water tower, like city water, the pressure is constant, or static, however flow depends upon pipe size and other factors. For example, you may be dissatisfied with the flow of your shower but you look out the window to see a truck crash into a fire hydrant. "No fair!", you cry as you envy the neighborhood children getting a more satisfactory bath than you just had, with apologies to the truck driver abused in this example though he also got a better shower. That is, the six inch diameter fire hydrant main line produces considerably more flow than the 3/4 inch line to your house, especially if someone flushes and robs your flow. To specifically address well water pressure concerns, you have to understand that your pressure is artificially created. You rely on a pump for that purpose. As you investigate potential problems with your pump keep in mind that pressure is not the same thing as flow. See the links. Technically they are wrong, but their experience tells them better. "Discounting friction" in pressure calculations is like getting robbed, discounting the threat.

When the car is off, hold the reset button on the right side of the dash (0.0). Then turn the key on (not the engine) and once the service now words come out on the display press the minute(m) button on the right. That should turn the service now off.

I bought a 1992 300SL and the seats were so hard that I thought something was wrong. So I went to a showroom and sat in the seat of a 1998 500SL, same hard seats. To remedy the problem I had my upholstery specialist take my seats apart and replace the German horsehair/hard rubber fabric with modern foam rubber. The seats are much more comfortable now but not as comfortable as my Volvo. The Volvo also has cup holders, the Mercedes does not, which helps understand the hard seats.

sounds as if your drain hose is blocked. I had a similar problem many years ago when the heater of my Renault 16 got full of rainwater. Every time I turned a corner it sounded like a washing machine as the fan thrashed the water about in the heater inlet duct. I solved it by poking a piece of wire up through the drain hose (you would have to locate it on your particular car, of course). A load of water came gushing out and it never did it again. (A free mend is always good news!) Good luck That is the answer. I had the exact problem on the exact same model--to find the plug, open the hood and look on the back "wall" of the engine compartment--a little to the left--it is down behind the shiny silver insulation--there is a small flap that you can lift--then poke in there to pull the plug out and let it drain out. it is a cinch.

There should be a schematic of the fuseboard printed on a sticker (usually found stuck on the inside of the fusebox flap or cover). Sometimes it is embossed there in the plastic of the flap / cover instead. The fuse you are looking for should be indicated by an image of a bulb next to that of an exclamation mark in a circle. Always be sure to replace any fuse with one of the same number or colour.

Go to Advance Auto Parts and purchase 2 cans of Seafoam FI cleaner. Follow directions on can. Use both cans in 2 tanks of fuel. Excellent FI cleaner. Techron is also very good if you can't find Seafoam.
