How can you turn off new vw polo daytime driving lights?
The new Polo (2011) does not have "Daytime driving lights". It is fitted with "Permanent driving lights". The lights on cars with Daytime running lights can be switched off by using one of the stalks on the steering wheel, or by removing a fuse (daytime driving lights are on a seperate light circuit)
Permanent driving lights cannot be switched off. If hte fuse is removed it will disable your headlights and backlights altogether. The only way to disable it is to remove the rotary light switch and cover the pin marked "TFL"

If you open the hood, on the passenger side you see a wire harness plugging into something that is attached with 2 bolts. Unplug the wire harness and unscrew the the two bolts. It will pull right out, it might need a little tug. It looks like a circuit board. The purple wire is attached to the resistor and will have to be unplugged from the van.

Ezekiel - He made a sexist comment about the girls on the show, offending and insulting them.
Eva - She accused everyone on her team for stealing her ipod, and locked her team out of the cabin to find it.
Noah - He refused to participate in the dodgeball challenge, and when his team lost, his reason was that the team had 'weak-effort'.
Justin - Heather managed to trick, Beth, Lindsay, Izzy and Owen to vote him off, having the most votes for him.
Katie - When she and Sadie returned late from the challenge - causing the Killer Bass to lose - she was voted off due to the fact that she had gotten her and Sadie lost in the first place.
Tyler - He refused to face his deep fear of chickens.
Izzy - Technically, she didn't leave. She was hunted down by the RCMP, and escaped into the woods. No ever found/caught her.
Cody - After he was mauled by a bear, his teammates found him of no use.
Beth - She confessed that she had unknowingly stolen a cursed tiki doll from a previous challenge.
Sadie - Courtney had convinced enough people to vote off Sadie, for revenge when Sadie accidentally pelted Courtney with crab apples, even though the challenge was already over.
Courtney - Harold managed to tamper with the votes, to get back at Duncan for picking in him.
Harold - In the tie-breaker, he lost the challenge because was was too distracted by Heather's unmentionables.

Trent - Heather purposefully kissed Trent in front of Gwen, making everyone vote for either. But since Heather won invincibility, Trent was the only option.
Bridgette - The guys on the island agreed to vote off Bridgette, because she was too nice to everyone, and was athletic. But in the end, Geoff said he didn't vote her off making it questionable as to how Bridgette was voted off since three people voted for Duncan, three people voted for Owen, and three possibally three people voted for Bridgette.
Lidnsay - During the final race of the challenge, Heather managed to cross first, winning her invincibility. But since Owen and Duncan's bikes were deystroyed, they couldn't finished the race, leaving Lindsay as the last one to cross, immediatley voting off Lindsay.
DJ - DJ was the only one to srcream and run without even seeing the Escaped Psycho Killer with a Chainsaw and Hook.
Izzy - Using a tranquilizer gun, she managed to accidentally shoot, Chef, a horse, a plain, and Heather instead of her target, a deer.
Geoff - Everyone except Gwen agreed that Geoff was too nice and had to be voted off.
LeShawna - At Playa de Loser, the voted off campers were allowed to choose the next camper, but everytime someone said LeShawna's name (even when they didn't mean it, or weren't even in the game) it counted as a vote. Apparently, Sadie, Katie, Courtney, Lindsay twice, Izzy, a parrot twice, and Trent said LeShawna's name.
Mr. Coconut - When Owen was stranded on an island, he had a few halutination and befreinded a coconut and counted it as a competetor. So when the final four camper got back to camp, Chris gave a marshmallow to everyone but Mr. Coconut, who was thrown off the Dock of Shame and into the lake.
Duncan - The first team to tagg the totem pole (talke about alliteration) won invincibility. And Gwen and Heather won, CHef would decide who to vote off. In the end, he voted off Duncan because he was sick and tired of the 'Delequient'.
Heather - When she was tripple dog dared to do Lidnsay's dare - which was get your head shaved - she back up a bit, and then kicked the razor. But then, the razor came down, and eiter way, half of her hair was shaved off. Chris then stated that she didn't accept the dare, meaning she lost.
Gwen - Gwen was the runner up of the Olympic Rejects Relay. At the ending which was a long-distance run, Owen fnished first. (But in Norway, Rome, and Denmark, Gwen wins. Not in Canada or USA though.)
Owen - Surprisingly, Owen was the winner of Total Drama Island, because as he was tiering out, Izzy and Lindsay were enticing him using brownies, and a fan. As soon as Owen smelled the brownies, he regaied his desire and headed strait for the finish line.

The knob is simply an interference fit, pushed on. So it just pulls off. There are many approaches, but to avoid banging yourself in the head (or elsewhere), here's what to do.
Sit in the driver's seat. Put the shifter in neutral or second gear. "Lace" the fingers of both hands under the knob. Pull upward with all your might. Use your entire back (optionally, pivot your body at the waist), as if you're pulling a weed or pull-starting a lawn mower engine, for the most leverage. The knob will just pull off.
You may need to use a "set screw" on the side of the knob to keep an aftermarket knob in place.

I just came in from the cold, fixing the same problem you are talking about (P0113). My 3.4L V6 01 Alero was hard shifting with the Service Engine light on. The Diagnostic Trouble Code was P0113: Intake Air Temperature Circut, High Input. The Trouble Code P1111 is a similar problem: Intake Air Temperature sensor circut intermittent high voltage. Hoping for the easy fix I bought and installed a new IAT sensor (AKA: Air Charge Sensor) at AutoZone for $13.99, but it didn't help anything.
The problem was the wiring leading to the sensor had broken. The IAT sensor shares the same 5V reference voltage with the Coolant Sensor and the Throttle Position Sensor. When the wire broke at the IAT Sensor, the TPS signal got messed up telling the computer to up the transmission pressure to "protect" the transmission. (Even though it felt like it was destroying the transmission shifting that hard)
The solution to the problem was to order a new IAT Sensor connector pigtail, GM Part #12102620/ AC Delco Part #PT307/ PICO Part #5616. I found mine at bmotorsports.com for under $8.00 after shipping. Stagger your cuts on the pigtail wires, heat shrink both butt connectors, and re-apply some electrical tape and you'll be back to smooth shifting in no-time!

Code P0001 is "Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit/Open."
This code is not very common, and likely to be intermittent. You could try to clear the code and see if it returns. Try checking it with another diagnostic tool, just to be sure. If the code comes back after you clear it, check the wiring and connectors related to the fuel volume regulator for any cut wires, corrosion, etc. You may have to take the car into a mechanic familiar with working on VWs to solve this, if you can't find any obvious problems yourself.
