What is the phone union oil company of California 14141 southwest fwy sugar land tx 77478-3470?
Unfortunately, their is no telephone number for Union Oil Company of California in Sugar Land, Texas. Union Oil and Unocal were acquired by Chevron in August 2005, and Chevron has subsequently vacated the Sugar Land facility. What were former Union Oil employees were integrated into Chevron, and relocated to other Chevron facilities. Fortunately for employees of Union Oil, Chevron offered employment to almost every Union Oil employee (somehwat unheard of for large mergers and acquisitions). For reference purposes, the telephone number of the Sugar Land facility was (281) 491-7600. You may contact Chevron at their corporate headquarters in San Ramon, California at (925) 842-1000. Long live the "Spirit of 76"!
When is the oil spill expected to hit Daytona Beach Fla?
It appears unlikely the oil spill will affect the eastern coast of Florida. I am not saying that it is impossible, as there is no such thing as 100% certainty with oil spill forecasts.
The oil has in the past 68 days not entered the loop current. This has kept the oil in the gulf. Oil in time degrades and disperses, to the point were the concentration is nearly undetectable.
Has the government done something helpful about the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico?
The responsibility to cap the well is the British Petroleum. The US Coast Guard has been very active from the very beginning in fire fighting, search for survivors, and surveillance of the spill. Decisions regarding the closing the fisheries also comes under the Environmental Protection Agency. They are working with state and local officials on monitoring air and water quality. Military aircraft have been used in spraying dispersants. The National Ocean and Atmospheric Agency has been tracking the spill, and working closely with BP to contain the spill. But the most important of all the Government work will to investigate the spill and find how this can be prevented in the future. The US Coast Guard and the Mineral Management Service will be tasked with the investigation. This investigation, I believe, will continue after the well is capped, and hopefully the blow out preventer retrieved for further study.

How does a chemical spill affect the hydrosphere?
It fills the water with chemicals and that is very bad
How close can you put a water well to a septic system?
50 ft. minimum for most common types of septic systems. Other conditions may exist where well may need to be further away than 50 ft.
Why does a 1998 buick regal 3.8 lose oil with no visible leak?
May be burning it slowly enough not to emit smoke Is the underside of the car oily wet looking? It maybe a oil pan gasket, some will not leak until on the highway. Look on the back end of car for oil spots.
Would a hurricane in Mexico be a typhoon?
No, Hurricanes are called typhoons in the east. So in Japan a hurricane would be called a typhoon.
How many gallons of gas are pumped a day in the u.s.?

What is wrong when you find oil in the coolant while temp gauge remains normal and oil is clean?
Are you sure it is motor oil? It may very well be tranny fluid, check to make sure it is full and clean. The tranny coolers are internal in the radiator in automatics. If there is coolant in the tranny fluid it will look like milk, make sure you do not drive at all, till fixed and flushed
Creep is a phenomenon of a sample to deform against time at particular temperature. Creep is the tendency of a solid material to slowly move or deform permanently under the influence of stresses. It occurs as a result of long term exposure to levels of stress that are below the yield strength or ultimate strength of the material. Creep is more severe in materials that are subjected to heat for long periods, and near the melting point
BP has a market capitalization of 130 billion dollars and employs 80,000 people so it is a very large, integrated oil company operating in many countries. It does not produce the most oil nor has the most proved oil (reserves).

For one thing, you will smell it. It smells kinda' like tar. You will also have smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. Your spark plugs will also look kinda' black from burning oil because the oil is probably being burned with fuel. I'm not sure about this part, but I think that oil is probably getting into the pistons of the engine. That would mean you have a leak somewhere. I think this can usually be fixed by replacing the gaskets. Call an automotive store for more specific information.
What is a Marc record and which company supplies it from India?
MAchine Readable Cataloging-a standard format for bibliographic records. (A catalog card is an example of a bibliographic record.) The information about a book or other item, in the same form as that used by everyone else cataloging books, so computers can read the record. This standardized format means that any system which is MARC-compatible can read and interpret the information in exactly the same way, no matter which system was used to create the MARC record, or which system is reading the record.
I think DK Agencies Pvt Ltd (see related link) provides these record from India. Marc records are in Indic languages ie. Hindi, tamil, urdu, malayalam, etc. These record are supplied in Utf-8/ Marc -21 format.
How do you fix 2001 Saab 9-5 oil leak?
First thing that I do is to clean out the oil trap located on the back side of the engine. You have to jack the car up in the air to acess the trap. I use a 13 mm wrench and a 13mm socket 4 inch extension with standard ratchet. Remove the two hoses at the top of the trap then push the trap up to get the lower hose off. In the oil trap one hose has a small opening close to the edge of the housing in it make sure that it is clean drill bit works good. All the rubber hoses have to be in good shape meaning flexable not soft or hard.Be sure to check the routing of the hoses make notes if you have to.The part numbers are on the hoses themself so if you need one or all you have the number. In the valve cover where the two hoses attach to the plastic nipple. Make sure that the small hose connection is free of obstruction again drill bit to clean. The small hose also has a one way valve that lets the vacuum flow towards the throttle body then shuts off when the engine goes under boost, positive pressure. This check valve is located in the small rubber hose. This must work correct so you do not put positive pressure back in to the engine. I also remove the valve cover and make sure that the passages in the valve cover are free and clean. I use a peice of vacuum hose and connect it to the peice of metal hose that looks like a J on the inside of the valve cover and blow through it using you lung power. If not use a propane torch to clean, gotta have a compressor and air line to blow through the opening where the nipple goes into the valve cover. Be careful not to blow the hot oil on you.SAAB has updated this system know to most as a PCV positive crankcase ventilation. Not sure if their is a recall on this or not contact you local SAAB dealer have your full vin number for them to check. If the J hose is plugged inside the valve cover I also remove the oil pan and clean it out.
Does a faulty oil pressure switch cause a low oil reading?
yes replace the sender before anything else
it is the cheapest place to star looking for the problem
The cause of global warming related indirectly with the use ("drilling") of Oil. If you use oil on ur machine, then it will emit a 'greenhouse' gas that will trigger the greenhouse effect thus creating the global warming.
How do you clean aluminum rims if they are black with dirt and oil?
First use a degreaser to clean the oil and dirt off use a good presure washer to wash them off then after they are clean use polish to bring them back to life then coat with a litte wax to protect them. I have had pretty good luck using a degreaser called "Purple Power". I get is through Advance auto parts. Price is reasonable and it is water based. I wouldn't want to use anything too harsh on rims. After I spray it on, I'll use a plastic bristle scrub brush to scrub them clean. Typically the black is from the disc brakes wearing. You can use ceramic brake pads to reduce the amount of black deposits. If I have deeply embedded dirt, I'll use a hand cleaner that has some grittiness to it applied by the same brush.
Why do hastings Oil rings on 350 engine lockup piston when i am putting it in the jug?
called hastings tech support and found out, that if you have an early model engine, the oil ring land is deeper than a later model engine, which has a shallower land. The year of change is around the mid 80's. So know the correct year of your engine you are rebuilding. So now you have to buy a newer set of rings.
Your 1992 Mercedes Benz 500 SL has a oil leak in the convertable top connection at the windshild?
head casket is broken between water port and piston hole and anti freeze or water is blown out by exhaust.
Are oil leaks a common problem on a 2003 Hyundai accent?
I have been doing my own oil changes for most of the time we have owned the car. I always replace the oil drain plug washer with new ones (purchased from a Hyundai dealer) yet there has always been a slight leak at the plug; not enough to even require adding oil between changes but annoying as it leaves stains on the driveway.
I finally decided to investigate so I put the car up on ramps, drained the oil, and crawled under it with a mirror to investigate. The problem turns out to be four raised "bumps" that appear to be spot welds holding the threaded insert that the oil drain plug screws into. These welds are within the outside diameter of the washer and prevent it from completely sealing.
My solution was to use a slightly small OD crushable washer purchased at a local auto parts store. No more leak.
Comment on something else: The factory shop manual calls for removing the bumper cover (which requires removing the headlight assemblies) in order to replace the windshield washer pump. Not necessary. Remove the two clips at the front of the fender liner, pull it down, and you're looking at the pump. Takes about 5 minutes start to finish.
Common 96 Nissan sentra 1.6L oil leak?
Oil leaks? Yes! I "own" three Sentra 200SX with 1.6L engines. Two 1995 SE and one 96. I am presently fixing the oil leaks on the 96. I did the other two last summer. The Nissan 1.6L engines used in the Sentra models develop oil leaks in these places over time. That includes the 200SX with the 1.6L. The end result is oil loss that will coat the engine/components and primarily the right side of the car, both underneath and often along the lower right side and back in really bad cases.
The crankshaft oils seals are known to leak after approx 100,000 miles. The Harmonic Balancer (fan belt pulley) end of the engine will have lots of oil and road grit around the oil pan, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump and other area in the engine bay due to wind spread. This seal can be replace without removing the engine. Remove the harmonic balancer bolt and use a pulley puller. If the seal mating surface is grooved replace the balancer too or the new seal will fail soon.
The transmission "bell housing" will weep oil and or trans fluid if the rear crankshaft seal or the transmission seal develops a leak. This seal is much larger than the front seal so it lasts longer and need replacing less often. The transmission will need to be removed from the car to reach these seals.
The oil pan is sealed with silicone engine sealant and will dry out and leak also. Sometimes the leak looks like it is the front or rear seal (pulley or transmission end of engine) but it may be the oil pan leaking and dripping into the pressure plate inspection plate or the pulley. The oil pan can be removed and resealed without removing the engine or transmission but it is a little tricky. Dropping the engine's under brace and exhaust pipe is recommended. Additional engine/transmission support is needed to do that.
While you are under the car look near the oil filter. Above and forward (toward the fan belt is forward) and see if there is oil dripping from the oil pressure sending unit wire. It will leak into the electrical connector. Squeeze it and see if oil seeps out. If so replace the sending unit. It looks kind of like a spark plug screwed into the block.
Near the oil filter you will see the power steering pump mounted to the side of the pulley end of the engine and it is over the right CV drive axle and has several hoses connected. One larger hose is a none pressure hose that gravity feeds the pump from the fluid reservoir mounted above it on the passenger side wheel well in the engine bay. This hose eventually leaks and drips power steering fluid everywhere! It is a molded hose from the dealer parts dept. and relatively easy to replace. Messy but do-able.
Now the top side of the engine. The valve cover has a rubber gasket that shrinks over time in that hot engine bay. Take a Phillips head screw driver is see how loose the screws holding it are. Really loose hu? You can tighten them but you should replace it because it shrunk and that makes the screws loose. You will need some silicone engine sealant each side of the distributor bridge at the driver's side of the cover. Get a manual to make sure you tighten those screws in the correct order.
Distributor "O"ring seal can leak. Two 12MM bolts to remove it and put a new "O"ring on and you are set. Mark the Distributor's position to the bridge bracket BEFORE you loosen those screws. Line it back up to the marks so you don't mess up the timing and reset the timing after is even better.
I have posted some photos to my "flickr" site of much of this work on the car including a timing chain replacement. Both chains. Yes, this engine has a lower and upper chain. You can see them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92225127@N00/sets/72157594347547443/
How do you unlock a 350 engine that locked up because of no oil?
If the engine has been run without oil the bearings have probably seized to the crankshaft, in which case, the ONLY option is a rebuild, including either a new crankshaft or turning/polishing the old crankshaft (if you're lucky).
Running without oil will destroy any engine. You MAY be able to free it up enough to get the torque converter off if you drop the pan and loosen all of the bearing caps, but you may need to pull the engine AND the transmission together.
Good luck.
BTW, the torque converter will pull straight out if you have enough room to slide the engine forward.
If the engine does free up, don't try to run it once it's seized up.
Another Answer:set engine up right and soak the cylinder in diesel the oil base fuel will free the rings enough to move the pistons. AnswerHi
I am no mechanic but I used these two method to free a 1955 dodge v-8 that was stuck.
I removed all the plugs and poured diesel and kerosene in to the cylinders and let it set. I removed the plug from the oil pan and kept adding the mixture until after a day or so the mixture starting weeping out the oil pan drain. Also I took a breaker bar and tried turning the engine over by hand every couple of hours.
Pour in the mixture, rock the engine by hand, add more , rock let rest.
After two days of this it spun freely.
Other idea.
If it has a manual transmission you can lube all the cylinders and put in high gear, get it rolling at a slow speed and pop the clutch.
Others will have different ideas, like I said I am a hack, but these two things worked for me in the past.
Lastly google or ask.com "how to free a seized engine" there is a lot of info about people freeing old tractor engines.
Above method should work, but is usually not a long-term solution in modern engines. Engine speeds today are much higher than old tractors and trucks. If you get it freed up you could easily spin a rod bearing or even a main bearing. Best solution is to disassemble the engine completely and do an overhaul.
Another Perspective:If the rings are rusted to the cylinder walls, the trick with the kerosene will sometimes work. That's often a good method to use with "old tractor engines" or other engines that are seized because they have just sat around for years, but if the engine is run without oil, the Babbitt on the bearings typically melts from the friction heat, and when the engine is turned off, the Babbitt bonds to the crankshaft. You're probably not getting that free without some dis-assembly.Why would a car smell like burnt oil only when exiting the highway?
could be a leaking oilpan .the wind blows the smoke away while driving and when you slow down it goes away leaving the smell. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info
Why is it difficult to add oil?
Purchase a cheap funnel from a automotive store, and try using that. best to have a spare person to hold funnel, and you control the pouring. every 10 secs, check the oil level. You do not want too much oil!!!! :) if you're wondering why it goes in so slowly, its because there is a "baffle" just under the cap that slows down oil going in to prevent the oil from filling up the top of the cylinder head with oil, thus allowing oil into the intake through the pcv vent or pcv valve itself. when this happens its a smoky startup and that oil is then lost because it gets burnt up in the combustion chambers.
