Sounds like you have a bad ground connection somewhere. You could purchase a shop manual for that vehicle. The manual would have the wiring diagrams you need to help you locate the grounds.

What should fuel pressure be on 1996 ls1 z28?
46psi to 50 psi I would imagine from 30 to 40 psi. I'm going to guess around 35 though. The injectors in the LS1 are probably 30psi or 35psi.
What Size speakers does a 1997 Mazda 626 need?

Why do all the lights blink when you get into your 2002 Impala?
Because its a chevy!!
Agreed. Bad ground from body control module (bcm) kills the relay switch. Around $400 at the dealer 4 years ago.
Run a wire from the positive terminal on the battery to the fan motor. If the fan will not run when hot wired, the motor is burned out and will have to be replaced. If the fan will run when hot wired, check the fan motor fuse. It us probably in the engine compartment near the battery.
What size speakers in a 2001 Malibu?
A really easy way to find out is to go to Crutchfield.com and use the outfit my car option. Everything that they have especially for your car will be displayed. If you are upgrading your stereo system or installing an alarm they can supply you with instructions and ready made wiring harnesses.
The engine does not have a coolant drain plug. To drain the block you need to remove the very bottom hose on the motor and let it drain that way, to get all the water out of the block start the motor and let it run for 10 to 30 seconds. DO NOT let the motor run for any length of time without coolant as this will damage the motor.
Correct answer: Please....please, do not run your car for any amount of time when draining the coolant. This information is incorrect the previous answerer means well, but the info is wrong. While we think of and call the device a "water pump" it isn't a pump at all. It is a centrifuge, for lack of a better word. It helps "move the water in a "closed circuit system" but doesn't actually "pump" the water. So, if you try to start the motor just to "PUMP" the water out, you are wasting your time, and risking severe damage to your engine. The radiator does, however, have a pet-cock or drain plug on the left side of the radiator. It is here where you can drain the radiator and engine. Keep in mind that all the water will not be removed because by nature of the block's position in the compartment, unless you use a flushing tee, you won't be able to remove all the anti-freeze.

How do you set up the timing on a 90 Camaro 350?
1. Disconnect the etc sensor which is usually found on the driver side. To find it look at the wiring harness. It should be part of the harness. Plus it looks just like the o2 sensor connection.
2. Unplug the sensor it will not hurt the car! This sensor controls the timing by the computer so the engine's timing will not be correct if you don't do these steps.
3. Set the timing light up alot of them hook to the battery and the other connection to the number one spark plug wire.
4. Start the car with the sensor disconnected. Point the timing light at the harmonic balancer and you should be able to see the mark on the balancer. Which is just a goove to indicates what your car's base timing is. You will see a bracket on the engine that has little notches on it and one of the notches will stand out further than the others. Indicate what the timing is currently set at and write it down. Don't think you can remember it and go on.
5. Shut the car off. Loosen the distributer just alittle. Just enought to move it slightly. You will need a offset distributer wrench. NO subsitutes. If you strip the bolt it will not be fun the next time you have to do it. Start the car and slightly turn the distributer till the mark on the harmonic balancer is exactly and the longer mark(top dead center)or 0 on the indicater. Stop the engine and tighten down the distributer being carefull not to move the distributer because it will knock off the timing. Once tightened double check the timing. Just to be sure.
6. Plug the sensor back in.
7.Then you can do one of two things. Disconnect the battery cable for 5 to 10 minutes, or discontect the ecm fuse for a minute or two. This will reset the computer.
8. Road test the vehicle and if the timing is still off check the timing again. And repeat until feel the engine is performing properly.
HELPFULL TIPS
If you have the timing to low it will hesitate and if it is to high the idle will be high and the gas mileage will drop. I always set mine just a tiny bit higher than 0.

Is there a shift sensor on a 1989 Honda Prelude automatic to control when it shifts?
Sort of - depending on model .What motivated you to ask the question ? are you having delayed up-shift points in relation to speed ? or no kickdown from top gear ? etc .Does your trans(looking to rear) front center lower on bellhousing, just inside engine bay behind radiator , have a series of 4 solenoids stacked vertically ? (don't worry) this just helps identify the trans during a year model trans type cross-over ,depending on which market.Main influence is a correctly adjusted throttle to trans cable (for example on earlier series 2 prelude/accords '84- mid '87 cable adjusted one way will give "short-shifts" at lower revs up into the next gear, into top(4th) aiding economy, adjusted another way will delay part throttle upshifts at any given rev point in relation to road speed - giving a more sporty 'hold onto a lower gear' shift pattern,at full throttle from standing start.
Maladjusted can cause problems , is fixable, but, model depending , may not be only cause of 'non-standard' shifting (slipping/soft "flaring" shifts/worn trans aside) hope this helps.Don't fiddle with anything you don't understand your fiddling with.
There again, much to trans shop/dealer chargrin, don't accept a "full trans rebuild" when adjustment, broken vacuum hose etc or honest shop/learned mechanic ('ask Smokey') check would fix.Goodluck(if this was a genuine question) - that will be $200 inspection fee please :-P
What are the consideration that governs the choice of profile of a cam?
there are a couple of factors to consider.... the rest of your valvetrain must be compatible with your camshaft (valve springs, heads, carb) by changing your cam profile you are changing the geometry of the valvetrain...more lift on a cam is going to compress your springs more, if they can't handle the amount of lift of the cam they coil bind....select a cam that matches your heads the best then make a carb choice for a good combination
