Chevy Colorado

For my 2007, I get 25 Highway , and 18.5 on average for city. But I do put my "foot into it", if you know what I mean. I also have a manual.

you first have to remove the front door panel, the whole thing, then just unbolt the speaker and unplug the wires, and put your new speaker in...there should be screws along the outside edge of the door panel, underneath the cushions on the handle..unscrew all of these, then put a screwdriver underneath the door latch and try to "pop" it out, the door panel should then come off.

The Starter is not easy to change. First thing " Disconnect the battery". The starter is under the intake manifold and bolts into the transmission. You need to remove the intake and all related hoses and plastic parts as well as the hard plastic cooling pipe that basically sits above the starter. There are 2 bolts that hold it in and one is easy to get at and the other is a bit more difficult.

#1 Fault is a Brake Lamp switch inop. Double check that ALL 3 Lamps Are cycling.

Its a lot of steps. You really need to break-down and buy a $15.00 repair manual at your local auto parts store. Not a bad job if you don't have any rust.

Assuming your 83 Jeep is "stock", and it has a automatic transmission and 4WD, you should be able to pull a 20 foot boat with 300hp engine fully loaded with gear and gas out of a boat landing. This rig is about 4,000 pounds (with 100 gallons of gas). Its towing "capacity" today is anyone's guess. New? Probably 5,000-10,000 pounds with a good 2" load leveling hitch. I have towed almost everything with my Jeep wagoneer and other vehicles including towing things with big block motor homes. The secret to any "towing" issue is how FAR can you pull it, at what temperature, at what speed, and will it be up mountain roads or flat roads, in snow, on ice, on gravel, etc.?. What about your head winds? Remember its not always just what your load weighs. Be aware some enclosed trailers and travel trailers have a huge wind resistance even empty, while others do not such as a open car hauler, or empty flat trailer. In any case with any 25+ year old vehicle, first be sure you'r the "lucky" type, have a working cell phone, a cigarette charger for it, money for repairs and parts, money for food and a hotel/motel, and the VERY BEST towing insurance--, just in case something unexpected "blows" and you become UNlucky.. Seals, belts, hoses, U-joints, pumps, wheel bearings and cooling systems in a 25 year old vehicle may not last long once you begin a heavy duty towing trip. I know. I burned up a rear wheel bearing towing my loaded 21 foot jet boat from Wisconsin to Florida --on a Sunday afternoon out in the middle of NOWHERE in Georga at 65mph with two kids, a dog, and my wife-- and I had a "like new" low mileage 1 year old 454 heavy duty Chevy station wagon with 2 wheel drive and a heavy duty 10,000 pound "towing" package with tranny cooler, air shocks, and the works. That thing would pull anything, but a simple bad wheel bearing did me in. Who would know? Here's my rule: Plan for the worst, and don't push your luck. Then if you make it without problems, GOOD. Remember, you need luck to get back home also. Good luck.

There are no dash speakers.

Just 6.5" door speakers and ~1.25" tweeters.

Many Reasons, 1. Check for 3 major things (Spark or ignition, Fuel and Compression)

2. If all above are present, try the mechanical and the electrical timing.

3. I know that these are general answers, They will help with all make, model and year vehicals. To try to get more technical with my answers would be like trying to answer the question....... How much to fix my truck? I don't know what is "wrong" to be able to give an answer that will offer any help. I hope this gets you started.

If the abs light is on you need to have the code(s) read. Have an auto parts store read them for you. The code(s) will help direct you to the problem so you can fix it. Once the problem is fixed the light will reset itself after a short drive.

The 2008 I5 3.5 takes 6 qts with oil filter.

It is a device that cycles the compressor depending on the line pressure coming out of the evaporator. Some vehicles have the switch located over on the high "condenser" side of the system.

it's under the dash on the passenger side. you'll have to look up under the dash. i had to change out the blower motor relay on mine. it would only blow on speed 4.

For the 04-05 Colorado, the filter is attached to the front of the gas tank by a black plastic "harness." It's clearly visible with a quick glance under the truck, on the driver's side. It'll have a black line going in and one coming out. It is recommended that they be changed every 25,000 miles, according to the GM maintenance schedule.

For the 06+ models, the fuel filter is inside the gas tank and is supposed to be maintenance free.

First disconnect your batteries then mark all wires on starter so you know where they go on the new starter. Then remove three bolts and bam do this in reverse order and your done!

The coolant thermostant is located just underneath the alternator. Follow the lower radiator hose to the engine. It comes as an assembly, Meaning the housing is built into the thermostat itself.

I do not know a lot about Toyota trucks. But I just changed the starter on a 2000 TUNDRA V-8. So in case its anything like the Tundra, here it is... You MUST pull the intake. I pulled the top plennum first, then the lower. Be careful with the injector wires. They are not easy to unplug. MAKE SURE you can identify where EVERY wire and vacuum hose goes (on the wires they are ALL squeeze type, do not pry the tabs open). Getting the intake off is not too difficult. Just remove everything that is attached. Leave the throttle body on the truck so you do not lose coolant. It takes 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the front. Once you lift the intake, cover the intake ports on the heads to make sure nothing gets in them. Don't get too happy -- its not over yet. The factory did not give you any extra battery cable. The starter is bolted to the motor with 2 bolts coming from back to front. From the bellhousing into the starter nose, get those out. Then GENTLY roll the starter toward the passenger side of the truck. GENTLY pry the plastic wire cover open. One cable is bolted inside it. Then take one bolt out of the starter that holds the plastic housing on. This bolt is coming from the front like the starter mount bolts. Then unplug the solenoid wire from the lower side of the starter. Congratulations! You're done. This is not really that hard of a job. It should take a fair mechanic about 1.5 hours. If you're not too great at mechanical work don't be too intimidated. BUT BE SURE TO GET EVERYTHING BACK IN ITS SPOT. This will likely take you most of a day. TOOLS - 10mm wrench and socket for miscellaneous items

- 12mm socket with 9-inch extension for intake bolts and some other parts

- Pliers for vacuum hoses

- Phillips screwdriver for plastic airhorn

- 14mm and 19mm wrenches to disconnect the fuel line

- 13mm deep socket with 1/4" drive for starter bolts

- 12mm wrench for battery cable on starter Keep everything... Clean, Clean, Clean!

You remove the door panel and the speakers are held in by two tabs. you just push in the two tabs and the speaker pulls out. The speaker itself is screwed into a housing with 4 torx screws. the separate tweeter just pulls off the door.
