How do you remove and replace the front struts on a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird LE and what tools do you need?

You can't. The springs around them need to be removed with a spring compressor and put back on the new struts with the spring compressor if the springs are still good. These springs are under very high tension and if you try to do it yourself you'll get a strut right through your skull! The rear shocks are easy, but for struts, take it to a professional, then it will be aligned properly too.

Replacing a 2000 Chevy Venture headlight bulb?

There is a black o-ring that you turn to release the bulb, once you turn it you may have to jiggle the bulb a little to pull it out. I find it easier to unplug it first then turn the o-ring.

Where does the wiper fluid go for the back windshield on a chev venture van?

In the same reservoir as for the front. If you are not getting fluid to the back window, the rear pump may need replacing. The pump for the rear is high on the tank so keep it full and that may be your answer.

Normal coolant temperature 97 Chevy venture?

"Normal" temperature is based on the thermostat, as least once the engine is warmed up. If the thermostat is working properly, the coolant temperature should stay around 195 degrees (F), but will vary by a few degrees, up or down.

Also, if there is no air flowing through the radiator, as happens when you are stuck in traffic or stopped for a long period with the engine running, then you may see the temperature rise on the gauge, until the cooling fans turn on.

I have provided a link that will give more details about how the cooling system works.

How do you change the headlights on a 2003 Chevy Venture?

Hi,

To replace the bulbs for the headlight, you will first need to remove the headlight assembly from the front of the van. This is actually pretty easy, as there are a few wing nuts that can be removed to get the assembly out. The only real hard part is that you have to pull the assembly straight out, from the retainers, to get to the back of the assembly. Then you just turn the plastic holder for the bulb and replace it.

One note: Be careful not to touch the replacement bulb with your fingers, as oil from your fingers will get on the bulb and that will heat up once the light is on. That will cause the glass of the bulb to crack and you will burn out the bulb in a very short time. Always where gloves when replacing these bulbs, or at least use a paper towel when handling the new bulb.

I have also included a link that shows the headlight and turn signal assemblies with some basic instructions and photos of how to do the job.

What would cause the power lock switch and the key to not unlock the doors of a 2001 Venture but the remote keyless entry does work?

The first and cheepest thing to check is the fuses. located on the side of the dash by the passengers door, another is under the hood on top of the battery. The next would be lock switch. It is easily installed, no tools needed. The drivers side power switch is a master switch. This means that power feeds from the drivers lock switch to the passenger door. If your key fob will unlock and lock the doors but the switch will not I would replace the drivers door lock switch.

The 2004 Chevy Venture has the most common hook-end arms. See related links below for install video. Hi,

If you are referring to low air flow, the first thing I would check is the Cabin Air Filters, which are located at the back of the glove box. It you have not changed these filters on the last year or so, just replace them.

I have included a link that shows their location and how to do the job.

Why is red fluid leaking from your 1998 chevy venture. it looks like it coming from the front of the van?

red fluid is transmission fluid and could be leaking from several locations around the transmission. Check the cooler lines where they go into the radiator, the seals where the axles go into the transmission, but most likely is a leaking pan gasket, etc. The only good way to find it is to look under the van and see where the wet spot is located

How do you replace the battery in a 2000 Chevy Venture Van?

If it's the same conformation in the engine compartment as the 1998, the battery is left-front-corner under the cross-mount and the main power point box. To remove the battery, you first need to remove the gray-black plastic cover over the windshield wiper/firewall top area. That done, you remove the bolts that hold down the left cross-brace, and you remove the brace from the engine compartment. With the brace out of the way, and with the power box moved to the side, you have access to the battery and its clamping bolts. (There's a plastic clamping wedge down at the base of the battery that you'll want to remember to reinstall). Sounds complex; actually pretty simple.

Front and rear turn signal flashes fast 02 venture?

Hi,

Where the turn signals flash "fast" on one side or the other, that usually means that one of the lights is out, or not working.

One this particular van, make sure you check ALL of the light bulbs on each side: Rear turn signal, front turn signal, and the front side markers on each side. If one side if flashing at the normal speed, you will have something to compare against.
