What is wrong when daewoo does not shift out of park?
You might need to replace the back-up light sensor, located under the dash, by the brake pedal.
The correct term is "brake light switch" instead of "back up light sensor." And yes, it is located above the brake pedal.
How much does it cost to repair a cylinder head gasket on a daewoo nubira 1.6?

How do you remove the valves in a 2000 model Daewoo Nubira?
this all depends on how the valves sit inside the head cylinder, you have two different types of valves which is, 1} insinked valves 2} standard valves. to determine the differences between the two, the insinked valves are valves that have been sinked inside and into the engine head cylinder, the steps down below follow for non insinked valves inside the head cylinder. for normal valves you can buy a tool from a spare part shop to take the standard valves out but if you have insinked you need a machine to take them out but if you go like i did to a head specialist they could do it for you and put them back in because the have a hydralic/air compressor that does the job. ok!
1.step= take the rocker cover off. 2.step= take the cam shaft off. (TAKE NOTE PLEASE : the timing belt will have to come of aswell) 3.step= (if over head cam) remove caps from the top of valves. 4.step= remove the head from engine. 5.step= remove the valves with the valve remover tool purchase from any spare part shop. as mentioned before if they are INSINKED you will have to compress them out.
that should answear your question to the finest detail that i can put it for you.
What should the timing belt be set on for a 2000 Daewoo Nubira?
This might help if you have a Daewoo Nubira/Lacetti 1.4L/1.6L. What you need is a timing belt adjuster and a angular torque gauge for this operation. First start with the removal procedure; Disconnect the negative battery cable, the air cleaner outlet hose from the throttle body and the breather tube from the camshaft cover. Then remove the air cleaner housing, the right front wheel and the right front wheel well splash shield. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt and the crankshaft bolts and pulley. Then remove the upper front timing belt cover bolts and the upper front timing belt cover. Continue with the removal of the lower front timing belt cover bolts and the lower front timing belt cover. At this time install the crankshaft pulley bolt and rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the timing mark on the crankshaft gear is aligned with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover. Slightly loosen the water pump retaining bolts. Using the timing belt adjuster, rotate the water pump counterclockwise to release the tension on the timing belt. Remove the right engine mount bracket and then you can remove the timing belt. Then countinue with the installation procedure; Align the timing mark on the crankshaft gear with the notch on the bottom of the rear timing belt cover. Align the timing marks on the camshaft gears. When this is done install the timing belt. Install the right engine mount bracket. Rotate the water pump clockwise using the timing belt adjuster. Rotate the water pump clockwise until the adjust arm pointer of the timing belt automatic tensioner is aligned with the notch in the timing belt automatic tensioner bracket. Tighten the water pump retaining bolts. Rotate the crankshaft two full turns clockwise using the crankshaft pulley bolt. Loosen the water pump retaining bolts and rotate the water pump until the adjust arm pointer of the timing belt automatic tensioner is aligned with the pointer on the timing belt automatic tensioner bracket. Tighten the water pump retaining bolts and remove the crankshaft pulley bolt. Then install the upper and lower front timing belt covers and their bolts. Tighten the front timing belt cover bolts. Install the crankshaft pulley and the crankshaft pulley bolt. Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt and retighten 30 degrees plus 15 degrees. Install the serpentine accessory drive belt and the right front wheel well splash shield. Install the right front wheel, air cleaner housing and reconnect the air cleaner outlet hose to the throttle body and the breather tube to the camshaft cover. And finally remember to connect the negative battery cable.

How do you reset the radio code in a Daewoo Leganza after replacing the battery?
The radio code feature of Daewoo models (sold in the US from 1998 - 2001 as Leganza, Nubira, and Lanos) is meant to be an anti-theft security feature, but unfortunately it can also present a problem to legimate owners when their car batteries have died or been replaced. When the radio is removed from the power source (or the power source is interrupted), the radio will reset itself (prevent any use) and flash "CODE" until the proper code is entered.
Each radio has a specific four-digit code, which was originally provided on a plastic card within the owner's manual kit. New owners were encouraged to remove the card and keep in a safe place outside the car (eg home). Since these cards may be lost over time (or perhaps not passed along when the car was sold used), that leaves today's owner in a tough spot.
To obtain your code... You can try calling Daewoo Motor America (the company still operates a HQ in CA for service/parts/warranty purposes); their website is still www.daewoous.com. You can also try calling your original Daewoo dealer, who hopefully still has some technical materials and personnel to help you identify your unique code. Some General Motors dealers may be able to help, as GM acquired Daewoo and still sells Daewoo-made cars in the US under their Pontiac and Chevy brands. But all methods above may be difficult for an individual detailed problem such as obtaining your unique radio code.
If all else fails, TRY THE CODES BELOW, which were the most common codes used in models during the 1998-2001 model years.

I am posting these because - although the code feature was a valuable anti-theft feature - there have been no models sold in the US since late 2001, and the radios are now undoubtly worthless to theives. At this point, the radio code feature can only be a major nusance to an owner of a still-running used Daewoo. Good luck and enjoy your car!
you can add 2253 2000 nubira.. radio cd-casset player
Daewoo makes their own cars. It is an auto manufacturer in Korea that had been making cars for major companies for years, such as the 1994 Chevy Lamons. They decided to make cars under their own name. In 2000, while in bankruptcy, GM bought them. They a now a division of GM. They still produce Daewoo cars, but they are not sent to the USA.

How do you find the code for the vigor stereo system?
It's in your owner's manual,if you do not have one then take it to the dealer.
AnswerAlso, check the bottom of your ash tray. Pull it out and turn it over. They usually put a copy of the code there (for the shop to turn your radio back on since they don't know the code and often have to disconnect the battery).
-Allan
you can also find it by following these instructions...
1. open the hood
2. look to your left, there is a black plastic triangular box, this is one of your fuse panels
3. take the lid off. under it, you will see a sticker with a 5 digit number, this is your code.
(note) you only get 3 tries to enter the correct code before the stereo system locks.
you can unlock it by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it again to get another 3 attempts.

Where is the water pump located on a 2001 Daewoo Nabira 4 cylinder?
The Water pump Is in the most retarded spot I've ever seen one be (at least it was on my '99.) Your going to have to take off the front passenger side tire to get at it. its underneath the timing belt cover. I suggest you get some sort of manual to help make sure you dont mess up the timing and bust a valve. You can get a PDF format manual on this site : http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/daewoo/files The water pump itself is in the bottom portion of the engine. You should be able to see it once you take off the tire and the timing belt cover. Good luck cause this job almost made my head explode (It Didn't help that Partsource gave my the wrong water pump!!!!)

How do you change headlights on a 1995 Chevy Lumina?
On my 1995 Lumina van I just bought, I found 2 mounting screws on the top left and right corners on the headlight unit. If you undo those the entire headlight comes out so you can reach the light bulbs. For the blinkers... there is a bolt holding the blinker to the mount. Un screw that and the blinker comes out so you can replace the bulb. Hope this helps
Where is the transmission dipstick on a 1999 lanos daewoo?
the daewoo lanos has no dipstick. The owners manual suggests that you take the car to a dealer to have them check it. Im sure they want you to pay them for frivolous things. Hence daewoo is no longer sold in usa. I wonder why Answer #2 A grey plastic plug with a large screwdriver slot in it located on the top of the transmission box when unscrewed and removed reveals a small dipstick attached to the underside of the plastic plug. This is also where you add any new transmission oil should you drain it or need to top it up.
