Where and how many motor mounts are found on a ford windstar minivan?
Well, technically there is only one motor mount(Ford base part number 6038). That is located on the RF corner of the vehicle, down on the subframe and attached to the engine block. The other two mounts are actually transmission mounts(Ford base part number 6068). One is at the RR corner of the engine compartment on the subframe attached to the transmission output shaft housing. The other is attached to the frame rail at the driver's side and bolted to the rear of the transmission.
How do you when a 2000 Ford Windstar has a bad connector?
Any general repair shop that does electrical can replace it for you. If it has plugs at both ends, you can buy that particular part of your harness and simply replace it without any wiring. The question is does it just look bad or is it bad for the circuit. if it is you should get a code for the sensor or whatever it's attached to and CIL will come on.

How do get the interior lights of a 1993 AStro van to turn off?
Just above the headlight switch is the dimmer control for the dash lights - roll it all the way to the right to turn the interior lights on and, of course, to the left to turn the dome out and the farther you turn it the dimmer the dash panel gets. There is also that switch on the dash next to the fog light switch which controls the dome light activation when any of the doors are open and if it is on and a door is ajar, the light won't go out. Or if one of the door switches is loose or stuck it will affect the operation of the light as well. In that case turn the door switch off.

One situation that the overflow jug would cause an overheat condition would be if the hose and/or connectors were plugged up or blocked. NOTE: before disconnecting anything to do with the radiator, ensure the engine is COOL! The cooling system operates under significant pressure.

How do you set ignition timing?
It depends on what kind of engine you have. A single overhead cam involves lining up the TDC mark on the crankshaft with the TDC mark on the timing belt cover, then making sure the #1 mark and the arrow on the cam gear lines up with the TDC mark on the cylinder head at the same time. This will involve removing the timing belt from at least the cam gear. Once all this lines up, you will need a timing gun to precision adjust the timing by moving the distributor (assuming your vehicle has a distributor, if not its probably computer controlled) either left or right until timing is exactly where you want it. Manufacturer specs for timing are usually under the hood of the car. If you have a dual overhead cam, the process is similar, but involves lining up more marks/ gears etc.. If all else fails, go to your nearest auto parts store and buy a Chilton or Haynes manual for the car, and it will describe in detail what you will need to do. These cost around $20 and are one of the best investments you can make if you plan on keeping the vehicle. Hope this helps. -Shaun

Why might the front power windows of a 1991 Dodge Shadow not work?
if both don't work I would check for a fuse or bad connection in a wiring harness. If one doesnt work i would check for a bad motor or bad switch
Just fixed my driver side power window. Is seams over the years, rust collected between the motor drive gear and the main gear that helps move the window up and down. I ended up taking the motor out and cleaning out the rust. Workes fine now. I had to take the time and remove the armrest and door panel to get inside the door itself to access the motor. Its not hard, just takes time.
If you were replacing a speed sensor on a 97 Mazda 626 where would it be located?
You can find the vss by going under the car, on backside of transmission facing the floorboards. Right where the transmission mounts to the engine, near the motor mount you will find the vss which points upward......it is held in with a 10mm bolt and pulls out upward. I unfortunately snapped the bolt and took it out in pieces with a vise-grip. Good Luck! Bill in CT.

What would cause hesitation after acceleration on a 1998 Ford Escort?
Change the plugs and wires.
also check the throttle position sensor or have it tested
My 99 Cavelier doesn't have powered windows, but I imagine the fuse is located in the same place. Open the driver's side door and look at the side dash that faces the door. (Above your hood release lever.) You should see a little panel that will come off. If you open that, you will see a board with fuses in it. The diagram for what each fuse does should be on the reverse side of the panel you pulled off. Just find the proper fuse and replace it with the same voltage and you should be good to go.
mine does it too, i attribute it to the fact that the vibrations of the engine just shake the whole car, seeing how the steering wheel isn't attached by much, it'll shake, kinda like the way your rear view mirror will shake with alot of bass, vIbRaTiOnS
