How do you remove the caliper after you loosen both bolts?
it should just lift off.. if not loosen the pressure on the caliper by inserting a screwdriver twen the pad and the caliper wall.. and prise the caliper open. when you have the caliper off.. use a C clamp and a slip off wood or whatever to press the caliper pistons back into the housing.. this will allow room for the new pads and any adjustments.. reseat the caliper and tighten the bolts.. when you press the brake pedal the caliper pistons will reseat themselves and you know this has happened as the pedal will go firm

How do you replace fog lights in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am?
These instructions are for a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I suspect the 1999 model is similar. ''Wear gloves and eye protection when handling halogen bulbs'' * Reach under the bumper and feel where the fog light electrical connector is located. You can stick your head under there to take a look if you need to do so. * Grab the connector (not the wires) and give it a counter-clockwise twist about 1/3 of a turn. This will allow you to pull the bulb out of the fog light assembly. * Lift up on the clip on the connector and remove the old bulb. * Insert the new bulb into the connector. Be sure not to touch the bulb. Clean the bulb with alcohol if you do touch it. * Carefully insert the bulb/connector assembly back into the fog light, and seal it with a clockwise twist. I just performed this operation on my own vehicle. It was no problem at all. there should be a bolt towards the top of the fixture and then you can either unclip the wire or pop out the bulb. I just removed the old bulb tonight and its not that much fun. First remove the plastic trim which is held by 3 bolts. Then pull the plastic trim away from the bumper enough to get your hand in. After that (by touch) grasp around housing for driving lights and you will feel the connector. Quite right remove bulb by twisting connector counter-clockwise. For tonights job I twisted the connector back into the housing without the bulb for now to prevent dirt from getting inside.
Is there any way to bypass the shut off speed of 98MPH on a 2001 Chevy S10 V6?

Why would the security light be on in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am?
I have had this problem for over a year and a half w/my 02 Grand Am. I was told by the dealership that the ignition switch had malfunctioned and the explanation was that essentially, the ignition switch was not recognizing my key as valid (it thought someone was trying to steal my car). The first time this happened I had the car towed, the ignition switch replaced. Then, the same thing happened almost a year to the date later. Once again the car was towed, another ignition switch installed. At least this time I did not have to pay. Three months ago, the security light started to come on again. When I called the dealership it was suggested I start using my extra key instead of the one I had been using since I bought the car. This seemed to alleviate the problem until last week when the security light started appearing again intermittently. This morning the car would not start initially. I had been given a temporary fix. If the car will not start, turn the key to the ON position and let the car sit for 10-15 minutes. I called the dealership this morning and it is scheduled for service next week. I'm trying to make this car last another 2 years until I am in a position to get rid of it.
How do you replace the front wheel bearings on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix?
i believe your going to have to change the whole hub assembly?
Yes, you have to change the entire hub assy.(they ain't cheap either, bout $318 for a set of premiums at NAPA) I have done this way too many times. you will most likely need a hub puller because the CV axle is splined and get stuck to the hub. you basically pull your tire, and brake caliper. there are three bolts on the back of the hub assy. that hold it in and one big nut on the end of the CV axle that you will need to undo as well (34 or 35 mm). Your wheel positioning sensors for your ABS system are connected to the hub assy. so be careful when you pull them out that you don't ruin the wires that stay with the car. usually only takes me an hour to do both sides
The Dodge Magnum DRL (Daytime Running Lights) is not enabled for U.S. market as a standard delivery item. You can take your car to any DCX dealer and their service department can enable them using a computer called a Starscan. It is very simple to do and some will do it for free, but look in the $50.00 range as a fee.

Why 1985 Toyota Corolla wont start?
The number one reason for cars not starting, no matter what the year, make, or model, is a dead battery. Cars will also not start if they are out of gas. If the starter has gone out, the car won't start, but most times the starter wears out gradually rather than all of a sudden.
