It is 5 studs at a 114.3 mm spacing, commonly called 5 x114.3.

For 2011, a new leather trimmed special edition (SE) trim level debuts as well.

The transaxle fluid should be changed every ofter according to the Honda recommended specifications. Honda recommended every 75,000 miles the transmission should be flushed.

The plastic grilles on the front doors and on the rear just pop off. Use a flat end screwdriver and gently pry them off the plastic grip holders.

There generally are no "signs," or symptoms which indicate the need to replace a timing belt. Most of the time, the belt fails without any warning. For this reason, it is important to follow the manufacturer's time interval recommendation for timing belt replacement. Although not true for all vehicles, the failure of a timing belt during operation of the engine can result in severe and expensive damage to the pistons, valves, and even the valvetrain.

Sometimes the cylinoid will make a loud whine or humming when engaged if bad but the best way to tell is to remove it and have it tested.

A throw out bearing is the bearing in a manual transmission that helps to engage and to disengage the clutch.

Finding a car under $1000 is not unheard of but, requires extensive searching on the internet, newspapers, auto trader, dirving around neighborhoods, and most of all luck. I assume you also want it reliable? Good luck. When you find a car under $1000 be prepared to dump at least that much in repairs!

You should check the thermostat to see if it is operating corectly, or your system may need to be perged.

start with the triangle of plastic in the front corner of the window.

pop that off (2 metal inserts hold it in.)

Then move just below that to the round plastic inserted retainer.

Then remove the screw that's in the bottom of the door pull/handle.

Then behind the door release there is a little plastic cover, circular. its a screw cover. pop it open, but don't rip it out. then unscrew the screw behind it.

now SLIDE that entire plastic piece forward about a half inch, and it will pop out connected to the wiring harness for the doorlocks. disconnect that wiring harness.

now you want to start at the front of the door or the back of the door, and gently pry the panel off the door. little plastic retainers hold it on, and then it is hanging from the top.

Lift the entire piece UP about 2 or 3 inches to clear the door lock, and look behind the panel to remove the final wiring harnesses for the light in the door (lower rear) and the window controls (middle).

putting it back on is the reverse!

You have to remove the motor mount. Once the motor mount is removed you can remove the old water pump and install the new one. Make sure the area is clean before you install the new one.

There is a real nice yet little known test for piston slap I'll pass along. Some test results can be mixed or ambiguous but this one is 100% and I've never seen it wrong after using it for the last 10 years.

When the engine is cold, the aluminum piston is small in comparison to it's iron cylinder. Therefore the rather hollow slapping noise will be loudest first thing in the morning. After the engine warms up, the aluminum piston heats up faster than it's iron cylinder, cutting down on the excessive clearance between the piston and cylinder wall.

So, the test is this:

First thing in the morning, start the engine up and run it for 15 seconds while you listen carefully and memorize the sound and it's intensity. Shut it down quickly, pull the spark plugs and put two squirts of motor oil into each cylinder. Reinstall the plugs, fire the engine up again and listen.

If you have piston slap the noise will have been greatly reduced or even eliminated…..for 15 or 20 seconds that is, and then your nightmare noise will come back like a Marine Corps marching band coming toward you in the parade.

You can begin by setting the new water pump onto the 1990 Jaguar water pump platform. Tighten the water pump retaining bolts. Attached the water return hose. Put the water pump belt on. Fill the cooling system with coolant.

Remove it an drop it into a pan of boiling water to see if it opens

I had the same problem with 2 cavaliers of mine ( which are basically the same as a sunfire) and my suggestion is the head gasket is bad or u have a cracked head most likely in between the valves.

This is what the HONDA manual recommends 105,000mi/186,000km/7yrs unless...you drive in the following conditions: in very high temperatures (over 110F/40C), or in very cold temperatures (under -20F/-29C). Then they recommend replacing the timing belt and balancer belt (4cyl) every 60,000mi/100,000km. No matter what interval you choose, I always recommend replacing the water pump at the same time. If it were my vehicle I would also replace the tensioner assembly too. I believe the recommended change interval is every 120,000km

If you use turtle wax it will clean it up pretty good if it from the outside of theheadlights

It is a Sealed- Non Servicible system and the transmission fluid is a type that does not break down over time so the only reason you would need to is if there was a leak but then you should just take it to your dealer.

This sounds like the answer a dealer would give. You can take out the over-flow plug and check it with your finger. If you can't reach any put more ATF-z1 in until it starts to trickle out of the over flow hole. Once it is done coming out, you know it's full.
