Where is the fuse box on a 2010 Mazda 3?

There are 3. One is under the hood for external components, then there is also one just inside the door on the drivers side of the console. The last one is under the glove box behind the cover and involves removing the cover and 2 screws and then pulling it out.

Hope this helps!

Where is the antifreeze drain plug on a 2002 Mazda MPV?

Look under the radiator on the driver's side. There's a hole that's about an inch and a half in diameter that allows access to a plastic screw. This is the drain plug, you can remove it completely to allow the coolant to drain faster. Make sure the engine is not hot as coolant can be boiling temperature and will burn you if not allowed to cool down. Remove the radiator cap to allow air into the system so the coolant will drain faster as well.

Is Mazda made by Ford?

Technically no, Ford previously owned a controlling interest in Mazda, but now only owns about 13%. They have collaborated on several joint ventures such as the Ford Probe/mx-6 in the 90's as well as the explorer/navaho, ranger/b1000 pickups. In fact it was Mazda who developed the explorer, which was branded the Navaha, and had virtually no sucess, while the explorer was and still is one of the best selling vehicle Ford has produced. I'm not 100% sure but I believe I read the other day that the Ford Fusion/mercury milan/lincoln MKZ versions share the same platform (chassis design) with the lastest mazda6.

How can you install rear ac in Mazda mpv lx 2005 that you bought recently is this something that can be done easily or difficult or risky?

This is not something that any home mechanic nor even a Mazda dealer/mechanic would or should attempt. It would require a major interior ripout, plumbing of A/C lines, wiring, installation of vents, controls, condenser, etc. If you didn't buy the van with rear A/C it's too late. Sorry, Your Humble Home Mechanic. P.S. Anything can be done if you throw enough money at it and I have a feeling this would require a lot of throwing and give you a sub-standard system plus with the extra incentive of creating new rattles!

Why would a Mazda MPV make a squealing noise when you start it?

The vehcile has three drive belts which have likely stretched over time and are now slipping. Of the three, the alternator drive belt is the likely culprit. Locate the alternator drive belt (it's the belt that extends from the alternator and goes furthest to the left of the engine). The alternator drive belt has three pulleys: The middle pulley (idler pulley) can be adjusted to tighten the drive belt. Loosen (but do not remove!) the idler pully bolt. Place a pry bar between the left pulley and the idler pully and push down forcing the idler pulley up. While maintaining downward pressure on the pry bar, tighten the idler pulley nut. If the squeal remains, perform this task on the other two pulleys.

NOTE: If you notice the squeal more when you turn on the headlights, it's probably coming from your alternator belt. If the the noise is greater when you turn on your heat/air conditioning, it's likely one of the other two.

If it STILL squeals after this, it is in fact a sheared bolt (#1) to the manifold. This will allow exhaust gases to escape. It will possibly need skimming too at the manifold end to cure. Good luck.

Why would the low beam headlights on a 1999 Mazda fail?

On my 1990 Mazda 121, the low beam (and sometimes high beam) lights fail due to a faulty light switch on the steering wheel console. I have to pull it apart and clean up the contacts about once every year when it does it. The tail lights also go out. I can tell it has failed again as the dashboard lighting goes out. Andrew.
