Most likely your tires are out of balance. Take it to a shop and have them balance them and then see how it rides.

I have 2000 expedition and thought i could change then. After taking my wheel off i notice they could not be change. You need to replace the upper control arm.

jack up front end, drop both bolts out of the torsion keys, knock both bars out then put new keys in

To remove the crankshaft drive pulley, you'll need to know which direction the pulley turns when the engine is running. The bolt should turn the opposite direction. Know if it is reverse threaded or not before attempting to remove it. You should use an impact wrench. If it's air powered, you'll need one that is rated at about 800 psi and have it hooked to a tank that puts out at LEAST 120 psi. If you don't have one, a chain wrench on the pulley and a breaker bar on the bolt, both being pulled in opposite directions, may get it. Another "trick" (and I don't know if I would try this personally) is to put a breaker bar on the bolt. Use whatever you need to extend it, like putting a pipe on the handle to make it longer. Rest the end of the extended handle (if it needs extended) on the frame of the vehicle. Then try to start the engine using the starter. Just hit it for a second. The torque from the starter combined with the breaker bar on the bolt being jammed against the frame may be enough to snap it loose. However, you might also break a tooth on your fly wheel I would think. But I know this has worked for people in the past.

Added note: On some vehicles, VWs come to mind, there will be three or four small bolts instead of one large center bold. On most vehicles with the large center bolt, once that bolt is removed you will have to pull very hard on the pulley and wiggle it to remove it. Many vehicles will require use of an inexpensive puller which bolts to the pulley to remove it, and many Chrysler cars require the use of a (fairly expensive) hardened steel damper puller to safely remove the pulley.

I advise against using either a chain wrench or a jav puller on most crank pulleys as these can cause damage to the pulley causing either shortened belt life or excessive engine vibration and premature engine failure unless a new pulley is installed.

Typically, it may start to make a fairly loud humming noise, especially when turning the steering wheel (a little noise is sometimes normal). It may also 'pulse' when turning the wheel or while driving straight. While turning, steering may intermittently become stiff and then easy. The power steering fluid reservoir may be low (this should be checked regularly and never be allowed to run low). Power steering fluid leaks may be present (check for spots under the vehicle and/or 'wet' power steering lines and components). Also, many shops can help diagnose the problem for little or no cost. Try and find one you trust and take advantage of their expertise.

Rock the steering wheel as much as you can left and right while turning the key back and forth from acc to start. If it wont work, the lock cylinder may be faulty and not retracting the lock pin.

One reason a cars front end may shake is bad struts. However, it can also be other things such as a bad tire or even if an alignment is needed.

Information for a steering wheel removal tool is available on a diagram for the car that is purchased. The diagram will have step by step instruction's on the make of the steering wheel to determine how to properly make repairs.

Remove the tire and wheel. Jack the frame of the automobile off, so there isn't any way on the suspension. Remove the control arm retaining nuts. Reverse the process to install the new control arm.

this is not hard take a small screwdriver pop out the switch replace with a new one greg.

It wouldn't be calm and quit I'll tell you that much. If it has/will break or you think it will break, do not drive it. If it happens to break while you are on the road you will almost have no control of your vehicle. The wheel may decide to go left or right on its own,the best priority is to stay calm and do NOT slam on the breaks,this could lead to the car to lose control or even possibly roll.

The purpose of roll bars is to prevent a vehicle from rolling over. It contains a torsion spring bar that is also known as a sway bar to achieve this.

you should check your power steering fluid. it may be low. if you don't know how, take it to a gas station and ask them to check. When you get your oil changed, all those fluids are usually checked and topped off as well.

No. The torsion bar tool has a pin in it that goes into the dimple on the torsion key to locate the tool. Thus keep the tool in place, so your fingers don't get cut off.

Get a 5/8 flare wrench to take off the high pressure hose and a screwdriver to take off the low pressure hose. Drain out fluid. Then you'll have to get a pulley puller to pull off the pulley. Once off the mounting bolts are exposed for you to take off the pump. Be sure to check brackets for cracks as the 89 is prone to this. Mounting is the reverse of this.

Just a suggestion, I just replaced my power steering pump on a 94 which should be the same. Remove the two piece radiator shroud which improves accessibility. Now you can see what you are doing much better. When you get to the pulley removal part.... leave it on (unless you have a good air supply and 1/2" impact gun) and remove the bolts from the aluminum bracket that goes into the cylinder head. If your pump has a remote reservoir remove the filler hose at the top of the pump. Next remove the two front bolts holding the ac compressor to the aluminum bracket. Slide the bracket down and you can take the whole deal to Advance or Auto Zone and they will gladly remove the pulley and pump and reinstall the new one back on the bracket.

Remove the boot covering the end of the steering rack, There should be a thin flat washer between the tie rod and the steering rack that is flattened over the end of the inner tie rod end. Pry up the flattened points, unscrew the tie rod and reinstall.
