RWD car squeaks when only turning right why so?
sounds like your ball joints are going just the slightest bit of wear can do that squeek specially since a right turn is more common all "right ball joints" wear a little bit quicker this is a serious problem get it fized right away that squeak is a sign the ball joint has excessive play!hope this helps.
Answercheck your brake system1.brake lines they may have been hardened not allowing fluid to pass through and forward as fast as they were from the factory
2.pads quality of pads is important harder they are noiser they'll bego with a ceramic if you can
3.calipers are starting to seize replace if needed
4. ball joints have play
also u-joints play a roll sometimes they may just need a greasingor a simpler fix take the car to a wash and see if rotors get cleaned up noise may disapear
Answersee if your tire is tight maybe ur lugs are looseWhat do you pull to bring down the rear seat in a Saturn SL2?
to pull the flip seats down, observe the configuration of the back panel of the seat from left to right. you will see on the far left, a section about 5" wide, this is a cosmetic peice and does not come off. the next section is about 40% of the backrest portion of the seat. if you slide your hand up the seam between this section, and the cosmetic section, in the upper left corner there should be a small nylon strap. pull on the strap with some force, and the seat should release and fold downward. the same goes for the other side, in the upper right corner between the remaining seat section, and the far right cosmetic peice, there will be a nylon strap, pull and fold down. If the nylon straps are broken, and have been removed, you will forceably have to pull along the top, and side of the seat at the same time to open it. from here you can repair the nylon strap on your own.

how do i put on a air condition belt on a 1987 vw cabroilet?
What is the easiest way take the starter off a 1995 Chevy S10 pickup?
use a torch... just kidding pull the motor that is the easy way or if you dont know how to do that jack it up to where you can crawl under it and take off the driver side wheeland reach in through the side and you can work on it to get most the stuff lose then get under it and finish the job
AnswerJack the truck up and place it on supports then disconnect one of the battery cables so the power to the truck is dead. Begin by removing the transmission bell-housing support (there are two bolts and one nut. One bolt at the transmission and one bolt at the front of the engine and one nut back about 6 inches from the bolt) and remove the brace. Remove the driver side wheel. Push the rubber wheel well flap up into the engine compartment so that you can see into to engine compartment. You should see a heat shield that is in between the motor mount and the starter, remove it by taking the bolt out at the bottom of the shield on the frame (I believe its a 10 mm bolt). Pull out the heat shield by lifting it straight up and pulling towards you. From the front of the truck, you should be able to see the starter and see a nut that holds the starter to a bracket, remove this nut (8 mm nut). There is another one, but you won't be able to reach it at this time. Move back to the wheel well. You should see a bolt that holds the bracket on to the engine, remove this bolt (its either a 13 or 15 mm, I don't quite remember). You'll have to remove the battery cable from the solenoid, this can be done before or after the bracket bolt is removed, it doesn't really matter. Move to the transmission housing. Remove the inspection cover, there should be 2 bolts holding it on (10 mm bolts) and pull off the inspection cover. Now loosen the starter bolts, there are 2, one on each side of the starter (13 mm bolts). The one on the outside (driver side) may be slightly blocked by the exhaust pipe, but a wobble will work around it. (The Hayes manual tells you to remove the exhaust pipe, but I was able to do it without doing so, but you can if you have the ability, it will probably mean you can get the bracket off easier). With the bolts out of the starter (one is short, driver side, the other is long, passenger side) it should drop down and rest on the transmission bell housing, don't try to pull it out yet. Go to the front of the truck and see if you can remove the remaining bracket nut, hopefully you can see it now and remove it. The bracket should come off and remove it. Now go push the starter towards the front of the truck and pull down, it should come out. There is still one wire attached, so support it as you bring it down. The wire is attached to the solenoid by a 8 mm nut, remove it and take the starter out.The new starter will have nuts for both the solenoid and bracket, remove them before re-installing. Re-installation is pretty much the reverse. Put the solenoid wire back on, push the starter up into the bell housing, push straight up then tilt to the front of the truck and rest in in the bell housing. Reach up and place front bracket on to the starter, I remember it was easiest from the front of the truck. Put both nuts on if you can that attaches the bracket to the starter, I ended up only putting the one on the top, the bottom was to difficult and not worth the trouble (this was the second starter I put on the truck, so it missing didn't cause any issues). Now go back and put the starter bolts back in and tighten. Move to the wheel well, re-attach the battery cable to the solenoid and re-attach the bracket to the engine with the bolt. Put the heat shield back on by pushing in and sliding down and re-installing the bolt. Replace the transmission inspection cover. Make sure to pull the rubber wheel well flap back and re-install the wheel. Put the engine/ transmission bell house support back in with the bolts and nut.
This is not an easy job, but can be done with minimal tools (a metric socket set and metric wrenches and several socket extensions (a wobble helps as well) but is very frustrating. I've done it twice on this truck (truck has a total of 230K miles, the third starter was just installed due to solenoid failure, so it doesn't need to be done often).
ANSWER
jack the truck up and put it on jack stands, that way it doesn't fall over.
then, remove the starter bolts. you may have to use PB blaster aka panther piss to break the bolts loose.
with the bolts out the starter will basically fall out and reinstall is self explanatory, just keep up with your bolts.
How do you remove radio from 1991 VW cabriolet?
You only need a pair of the special "radio removal tools" for that car. Most audio/ electronics shops will carry them. They look like a very thin piece of metal--about 1cm wide with a notch on the top and bottom as you hold it vertically. Each will fit into the small vertical slot on either side of your Preset buttons. Slide in, hear it click into place, and simply pull out. Then you unplug the power and signal cords from the back (2 plugs, very obvious). (If your radio still works, I'm looking for one, lmk!)
Why would a 1992 vw cabriolet be hard to steer?
Have you checked your power steering? If it feels like you're steering a car that's not turned on that might be it. Check the fluid and try again. If the fluid runs out or that doesn't help then you'll need to start replacing parts- good luck
How do you replace the starter on VW cabriolet?
"somewhat simple you locate it (should be on backside of engine) next to the firewall on the transmission then you take the wires off it (there is a nut holding them on) there are two or three bolts holding the starter on take starter out and do instructions in reverse"
right!.. bearing in mind that there are a couple different styles of brackets and heat shields you may encounter on your way to the starter mounting bolts...
Specifically for the automatic
Jack up your car and rest on jackstands... never work under a car supported only by a hydraulic jack.. use jack stands or ramps or blocks or something. don't wear your car as a hat!! Disconnect battery negative cable.. starter takes lots of amps.. more than enough to hurt you!!
The starter is found immediately behind the pass. side drive axle inboard end. under your car looking at the back of the block between motor and firewall
first remove the 10mm nuts retaining the heat shield.. then the 13mm bolts holding the bracket,..
loosen the large hose-style clamp (if so equipped) with a screwdriver and remove heat shield and bracket.
Unplug the one cable,.. and use a 13mm deep socket to remove the nut on the 2nd cable.
The starter is mounted by three 13mm bolts to the transmission but only two are visible. The third is accessible by about 10 inches of extension bar on your socket driver slipped in behind the solenoid assembly with the driver handle pointed upwards, you'll have to feel back there more than look to get your driver on but there is enough clearance to turn it out.
installation is reverse of removal. to aid in insertion of the third hard to reach bolt,.. thread the first two bolts in 3-4 turns to line up the holes and then begin to turn in the third with your fingers or just the extensions without the wratchet attached.
just finished doing this right now and thought it may help someone else out someday.
for the manual transmission,.. the starter is on the front of the block and very easily removed. this one's described in both the haynes and bentley books quite well.
How do you get the radio out of safe mode on your '98 passat?
There should be a card in your users manual with a code on it, and instructions on how to unlock the radio. If you don't have it then bring it to a dealer. They should unlock it for free. Write down the code for next time.
One other option is to find someone with / get the diagnostic software VAG COM, and the cable. Scanning the radio will provide the code.

AnswerYou can purchase a disk on e-bay with unlock codes for VW radios, search unlock code vw mine locked up and it worked for me takes several hours to reset !!!they will not do it for free i just called the dealership and they said 48 bucks
The buzzer means you have no oil pressure, not that the oil level is necessarily low. You better find out why this is coming on and do not drive until you do.
AnswerMost of the time its the actual sensor that fails If you have just done a service on the car it will normally do it straight afterwards.Try switching the ignition on and if it sounds with the engine NOT running Then its your sensor. AnswerThe green wire on the sensor, that is just on top of the oil filter mount, often falls off. Take a look. It just slips on over the end of the stud there. Why is the check engine light coming on in a 2002 Bravada?
The computer has detected a problem with the emissions controls or something that effects emissions. Fix ASAP. It also can detect when you have not put your gas cap on tightly. The absence of a vacuum in the gas tank will cause the check engine light to come on as well. -Voice of experience. Possibility: When my Bravada had a "check engine soon" light come on it was because the O2 sensors were bad. The next time it came on was because when I had the fuel tank replaced the mechanic forgot to plug a sensor above the tank back in.
I just changed the headlight assembly on my 03 vw jetta since the clear lens gets foggy after a few years..
You will need a T20 and a T27 Torx Screwdriver.
1. Remove the front grill (has the vw symbol).. it is a snap fit on the sides.
2. Remove the 5 bolts holding your front bumper onto the body of the car..These you will see after your grill is out of the way.....the bumper needs to be loose to remove the bottom 2 screws of the headlight assembly.
3. There are two grills on the bottom of the bumper covering where flood lights look like they can go (although most VWs with flood lights have them in the headlight assembly). Pinch the grills and pull out towards you. There is one screw behind each of these grills, remove these screws. (if you are replacing only 1 assembly, you can remove just the one on the side you are replacing the assembly)
4. There are five screws holding the bumper on under each wheel well. Start from the bottom of the wheel well and work up and stop with the screw that is just under the top of the bumper cover. You may need to turn the wheels so you can access these with a torx screwdriver. If replacing only one headlight assembly, you can do only one side.
5. The cover will remove easily, be careful to watch the lights and wires for the side running lights
6. Remove the 2 screws holding the top of the headlight assembly in place and replace.
7. The screws can fall on the tray below and no problem to retreive as you remove them.
8. Now you can remove the wire harness to the assembly and you can now put in your new assembly.
9. When you put the bumper cover back on, make sure the running light(s) are in. There are clips on the bumper cover and on the fender of the car on each side that helps hold the cover, make sure you are inserting into them before trying to go all the way in. Put all the screws back in, pop back in the covers in the front of the two screws in the "fog light" area. Pop back in the grill.
The whole process takes about an hour....hope this helps..
Dan
dont forget that under jetta there is a protective cover that is made of plastic and has two screws that attach it to the front bumper dont forget about that otherwise you will have difficulty taking the bumber off.
also, when taking completing the headlight assembly job, it will take one hour minimum but four hours max the time will vary with how well you7 have maintained the car and also if you have ever taken the bumper off because that will affect how tight the screws that are holding the bumper will be
Why might an Opel Corsa stall when idling?
You may need dealer assistance, if this is a stepper motor acting up and allowing the engine speed to fall too low.Suggest check the air filter is not blocked, you may have picked up rubbish. If ok check around the air filter for pipes adrift and around the injection unit for the same.Is the "engine electronics"warning lamp on? There may be a sensor fault or an e.g.r. valve fault upsetting the idle mixture.
i suggest cleaning the idle air control valve i had the same problem idling around 400 and cutting out on cold starts the icv is located next the the rev cable and a carb cleaner is recommended i also cleaned the throttle box and air pipes at the same time lucky for me no more idle problems previous owner over filled oil at sum point and it had got all ova the engine compartment
1994 Toyota Paseo stalls out when idling in traffic?
Could be EGR valve sticking open or dirty at an idling condition or hesitates when accelerating.
How do you repair the ignition switch on a 2003 Chevy Malibu?
You will need to remove the steering wheel. To do that you will need to disable the air-bag circuit. If you aren't trained, don't try it. Really bad, dangerous and expensive things can happen if you don't know what you're doing around an air bag. Take it to the dealer or a qualified locksmith, even though it may cost you a little more it will be worth it.
How do you test a fuel pump and relay for a 1991 vw cabriolet?
To test the relay pull it out of the relay/fuse board. Use a fused jumper to give 12v to pin 85 with another jumper from pin 86 to ground. The relay should click. An ohm meter on pins 30 and 87 should show infinite resistance ( open circuit ) when there is no power to pin 85 and should show low resistance ( closed circuit ) when there is power to pin 85. If that checks out, turn your key to the on position ( not start) and use your fused jumper between the plugs where pin 30 and pin 87 plugged in to the board. Be careful when figuring out wich pins went in wich plugs so you don't jump the wrong ones. When you do this the pump should start and you will be able to hear it hum. Don't run it for too long, just long enough to check that it comes on. If it doesn't come on use a volt meter to make sure you have battery power between the plug where pin 30 goes and ground. If not you may have a blown fuse or bad wiring somewhere. If you have 12v at pin 30 test the wiring between the fuse/relay board and the pump. Disconect the wires to the pump and use an ohm meter between the plug on the relay/fuse board where pin 87 plugged in and ground. You will read infinite resistance ( open circuit ) if there is no short.
How hard is it to change a heater core on a 1998 VW Cabrio?

How to Compress brake caliper on Volkswagen Jetta?
you need a special caliper tool that turns the piston as it pushes it in, or if you are on a tight budget grab a wrench and a regular caliper compressor and turn the caliper clockwise as you tighten the tool (or ask someone for help, easier with 2 people) hope this helps.
How Do you unlock A locked Passenger side rear brake In a 95 gti?
Ok so i figured this one out on my own. Remove the rear tire that the brake is locked up on, if the hand brake is on, lower the lever in the car. locate the e-brake wire on the rear of the disk brake/caliper. This should be behind the rotor and caliber and is identifible by the fact that it is not a hydraulic line. You should see that it is held in place by a bracket with tension on it, hence why the brake is "locked" remove the bracket holding in the brake line in place {not the hydraulic line!!} Once the bracket is removed simple pull out the e-brake line with a pair of pliers, Shazam! the brake should release. If not a few light taps with a hammer should help. Save the bracket for the e-brake as you will need it if you ever decide to fix it. This is a temporay fix with no real long term affects to your braking system, Except the fact that you will only have one E brake working.

Where is the obd 2 plug located in a 2000 volkswagen cabrio?
The OBDII port is located to the left of the steering column up up in the kick panel (right above your left leg). It's not the easiest to see but if you can under there with a flashlight and look straight up you should be able to find it.
Why does a VW Cabriolet keep stalling when driving?
If its manual you obviously don't know how to drive it. I have a 1985 Cabriolet and I don't have any problems with it and its been sitting on a driveway for 5 years.
"Stalling while driving" could have a number of reasons. I'm afraid this question is too vague to genuinely answer; more details are needed, but the most likely cause lies with a fuel delivery issue.
----------------
Manual cars can be tricky if someone doesn't know how to drive a stick shift one way to see if its you or the car is have a friend that drives a stick test drive your car with you in it.
It might be a clog in the fuel system somewhere or a backed up catalytic converter. It would help to know exactly when and how its stalling out IE at red lights going up hill, downhill around curves. I say this because when a car stalls at different points its symptomatic.
i have a 1992 volkswagen GTI and it was doing the same thing stalling while driving and we found the it was the fuel pump relay good luck
---------------------
My 87 Jetta had an intermittent stall problem, even while doing highway speeds it would just die. Sometimes it would restart... sometimes it would restart after several minutes off. I removed the fuse/relay box cover and by tapping on the tops of the relays it would occasionally recover.
It turned out to be the fuel pump relay. It has a control circuit built in, the part that causes it to shut down the fuel pump if the engine isn't running, used to prevent gasoline being pumped after an accident that may have damaged the fuel lines causing gas to pump on the ground.
I had to resolder a few of the connections in the relay and so far it's been fine. The problem was a couple of broken solder connections to the PC board, and it is fixable if you have some experience soldering. Otherwise, get another relay and you're good. There is also a known issue with those cars having grounding problems in the fuse block, thankfully that wasn't the problem.
Since that relay can be non-destructively disassembled, I'm going to check it on every one I deal with in the future, since it seems to be a recurring problem on the gas engine variety of those cars.
I had this problem a few years ago with my 93 Cabriolet and it turned out my steering column was lose. It was a quick inexpensive fix and has been fine since.
Where can you find the diagnostic port of a 1997 vw cabriolet?
To right of ashtray and above the lighter there is a small removable panel aprox 2"x2"gently remove it from around the edges and it will come off to reveal the diagnostic plug port.
now unless u want a perfessional job i would look for a product called "lucas" i bet my life on it.
