The wiper relays in my 1995 Safari were inside the wiper motor housing. They kept going out because water would get into the housing. If you unscrew the front of the cover, you will see the circuits and contacts. YOu can clean the contacts, but the best bet is just to replace the entire thing.

on my 98 safari i thought water was getting into my wiper motor, since the only time they acted up is when it was raining,and they would work - when they felt like it - or when i would flex the wiring connector which led into the wiper motor - called my dealer they said it would be the circuit board, I removed the screws from the cover of the wiper motor which is the circuit board and with the wiring harness still plugged into it i pulled it towards me to reveal the components on the other side, the relay is the first the you see when you follow the wiring into the circuit board, you will see 4 to 5 solder points connecting the relay to the circuit board, these solder joints worked loose, to repair simply resolder adding additional solder.

The boards are releativley cheap at the auto stores, but before spending the money try unplugging and replugging the connectors to the boards.

The "park" switch inside the wiper motor assembly has failed.

Easiest way: Get the entire replacement arm (not just the blade). Flip up the wiper and you should find a little tab on the under side where it's attached to the metal part of the arm. Push the tab down and everything should slide up. You will the rod with a hook at the end. The new wipers should slide into place with the hook over the top of the small plastic piece that is curved on one side and has a tab on the other. You'll hear a click when it snaps into place. That's basically it.... Of the cars I've owned, one of the easiest to replace wipers. (There are usually picture instructions in the replacement wipers if you get stuck, too.) Sounds like broken linkage maybe. I think... you need to pull the air vent intake grill underneath your windshield wipers blades to get to it.

If washer fuse is blown replace it first ,still washer not working ? One can check motor by following method

unplug motor from Engine wiring and connect to separate 12VDC supply from Engine Battery if it does not moved throw & get new one.

Remove the plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm, it just snaps off. With the cover removed you will see a 13mm nut, remove the nut and wiggle the arm off.

perhaps the wiper switch is broken and needs to be replaced.-- The delay part of the Switch.

   Normally its just the fuse. See your owners manual.

A kort nozzel is used in marine applications for heavy loaded propellers such as on tugs, fishing boats, work boats. The kort nozzel is really good at adding thrust below 10 knots but over 10 knots will add drag. My question is if you know of any product available for the average outboard?

Under the hood, on the firewall.

The grill below the windshield, right behind the hood, covers the wiper assembly. You'll have to figure out if the linkage broke or just came loose. Pull the grill and turn on the wipers. You should be able to see what ISN'T working. From your description, it's not the wiper motor, it's probably the shaft that drives the wiper arm. You will probably need to go to a dealer if you want a NEW one, but something like that seldom goes bad so you might want to consider a wrecking yard. It should be the same wiper assembly for suburbans and pickups. there are two types of windshield wipers that i have seen. 1. one motor and two motors. if one motor is controling both blade assemblies look for a rod that connects the two assemblies and one side of the rod may be disconnected. 2. Two motor- each motor controls each assembly for the windshield wiper. on this type look for 2 things a. look and listen for the motor on the working wiper and go immediately to the non working wiper and listen for the same noise if you hear the same noise then at the base of the wiper assembly (the rounded bottom of the wiper arm assembly) there is a gear that the motor fits into. this is probably stripper. Goto any auto parts store, most will show you how to take off the wiper assembly arm and turn on the wiper again. if you see the gear moving then tell the auto parts person you need the arm assembly that you or that person is now holding if the gear is not moving then you need the wiper motor and you should keep the assembly that you are holding. good luck
