well one if your running a after market radio or subs its pulling to much power find a higher fuse that will fit in that spot but no more then 2X the one that came stock!!

My '96 Ford has two different sises of blades, so if you bought a set like this you could mix them up. Most blades can be removed from the frames, so you could switch them for a temporary cure.

check the fuse Look for a freyed or degraded wire with the rear door open. Located where the door joins the body at the top.

I'm going to add my answer above the original answer below because I think this question is regarding "wind lift" which is common with some vehicles and some types of wiper blades.

You may want to purchase wiper blades with airfoils that use the wind to push them down rather than lift them up. See related link below.

What you do any time your vehicle becomes unsafe while driving. Slow down, pull over to the side of the road and stop and put on your hazard flashers.

To repair the problem, requires knowing the cause. The wiper has a hold down nut. If the nut is loose, you may be able to reposition the wiper arm and tighten the nut. If the nut isn't loose, then the wiper arm is probably stripped, and the fluted shaft doesn't grip it and the wiper arm will have to be replaced.

(BTW the above also means that you do NOT roll down the drivers window and bat at the moving wiper while driving in traffic half blinded by rain blowing in on your face. Apart from getting your clothes wet, the only result is to strip the wiper arm in case it wasn't already stripped so that you can skip diagnosing the problem, pull over and wait for the rain to stop, and then drive directly the auto parts store knowing exactly what you need. Your receipt may help you convince your boss/gf/wife that you really were late because you had car trouble, but don't tell them the part about getting wet, you'd sound like an idiot.)

: There is a pawl located in the wiper motor that tells the motor when to shut off and leave the wipers in the parked position. : if your wiper blades park in the vertical position, this pawl has broken off. : the motor more than likely needs replacing.

Stripped bolts can be repaired by a knowledgeable person using Heli-coils.

It sounds like the wiper motor is malfunctioning. If your camaro has intermitten wipers there is a control module built in the motor that controls the off position.

Properly drain the cooling system into an approved container. 3.

Remove all accessory drive belts or the serpentine belt. 4.

Remove the alternator and bracket. 5.

Install the alternator and bracket. 11.

No. There is not a "fuse" for the wipers. There is, however, a "circuit breaker" located in the fuse box under the the driver's side of the dash. Part # D9AZ 14526C.

the delay on jetta wipers is different. the delay is adjustable. if someone set the delay very long, you will think the delay is not working. here's how to shorten the delay. turn the wipers to delay (one click DOWN on the stalk). immediately turn it back off and now turn it back on. the delay is the length of time you had the wipers off between the two on's. for a 3 second delay, turn the wipers to delay, immediately turn them off, wait three seconds and turn them back on. for a 6 second delay, turn them on, immediately turn them off, wait 6 seconds and turn them back on.

Your problem is a broken linkage arm, that runs from the wiper motor, to the wper arm. This is located under the cowl. Look down into the grill under the lower edge of the windshield, and you will see the arm. This is NOT something that you should try to fix, yourself. You need a shop to do this repair for you.

Not necesary a bloken arm, could be a loose arm. There is an assembly part betwen two arms and it's a press-assembly so maybe its just a loose part. Let me guess, it's the driver side wiper, right?

i had that same problem in my 1996 Nissan altima. it happened to the driver side wiper.. what i did was i went under the hood and pulled up that rubber piece over the shield that keeps the leaves, etc, from getting into the car. then i undid the nuts that held the plastic piece down. then i saw that the metal had rusted and the end of the arm was no longer screwed on. i fixed it once with a ziptie but the arm cut through that after 2 weeks. then i went to home depot and bought a round metal thing that screws on to pipes to hold them together. i held the arm to a piece of metal above it and then i took a tube of grease (some sort of car grease that costed like 4$ or maybe less) and i squeezed it all in there to stop it from making a horrible scraping sound. it sounded bad for the first few days that i used my wipers but now it sounds fine and it works perfect. its a cheap 6$ fix. it only took about 15 minutes to do it.

The 2004 Toyota RAV4 takes 22" drivers side 19" passenger side replacement windshield wiper blades. Note, when buying windshield wiper blades be sure to always use the application guide book at the store, or now-a-days you can Google 'lookup wiper size'. You want to look this up because correct wiper fit is more than correct length, it's also proper attachment. Not all attachments fit all arms. Using the application guide or looking up wiper size online will avoid headaches of buying the right lengths with the wrong attachments.

It also takes a special 12" rear wiper blade for the special rear arm. Your dealer will have them (may be expensive) or you may want to look into "Trico Exact Fit Rear Blades" that fit these new special arms - you can find them online. (there may be others available too). The good news is - specialized rear arms do not automatically mean the wiper blade is difficult to change - it just means you need to get the right blade for easy (and successful) installation.

It should be in the fender wall behind or near to the reservoir. I have a 99 that needs replacing but I haven't attempted yet. Good Luck!

I have the diagnostic and repair procedure for the windshield wiper circuit. The first thing you have to do is acquire a 12 volt test lamp.

The diagnostic and repair procedure is as follows: The following steps will be done with the ignition switch in the RUN position.

1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN and turn the wiper switch to OFF. If the wiper continue to move, continue.

2. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY. If the wipers delay between wipes, turn the switch to OFF and continue to step 3. If wipers do not delay between wipes, go to step 5.

3. Disconnect WIPER/WASHER ASSEMBLY (which is on the fire wall, in the engine compartment) connector C1 (which is to the driver's side of the assembly). Connect a test lamp from C1 cavity Y to cavity Z (I believe they go in alphabetical order from top to bottom). If the test lamp lights, leave the lest lamp connected and continue to step 4. If the lamp does not light, remove the washer pump assembly and check the park relay spring (I can give you the correct procedure if it comes to that).

4. With the wiper/washer switch OFF, disconnect the wiper/washer control connector (it's the switch in the dash). If the test lamp goes out, replace the wiper switch. If the test lamp remains on, then the purple wire that runs from the switch to the assembly is shorted to ground and needs to be replaced.

5. Turn the WIPER/WASHER switch to OFF. Turn the IGNITION to OFF and back to RUN. If the wipers shut off and park correctly, continue to step 6. If the wipers do not shut off, continue to step 7.

6. Check holding switch for correct adjustment. If adjustment is required, adjust holding switch (I can give you the correct procedure if it comes to that). If adjustment is not required, replace timing circuit board assembly.

7. Check if washer override switch contacts are opened by projection on rim of ratchet gear. If the contacts are open, then the blue wire is shorted to ground and needs to be replaced. If the contacts are closed, then continue to step 8.

8. Check for loose timing circuit board attaching screw. If the screw is loose, tighten the screw and recheck washer override switch contacts. If the screw is not loose, adjust the washer override switch contacts or replace timing circuit board assembly.

There is a problem with the parking linkage. TAke it to a garage.

The wiper transmission has broken due to the linkage seizing. You need to replace the transmission......To do this you nedd to remove the top of the dash as there are 2 bolts hidden on the indise of the car to get it out

It needs to be checked out . There are many things that can go wrong.

They are all pretty much the same. There is a small tab where the end of the wiper arm attaches to the wiper blade assy. When you buy your new blade at any auto parts store the reps behind the counter will glady show you how it is done. Takes less than a minute.
