STEP 1 Raise the car & Remove both spoiler skirts. STEP 2 Remove the wing liners from the rear of the bumpers & lower the car STEP 3 Open the Hood & Remove the grille STEP 4 Move the headlamp wiper arms away from the headlamps and disconnect the washer hose Clips that hold the hose STEP 5 Remove the right and left headlamps and turn signals STEP 6 Remove the two bolts securing the bumper to the car body STEP 7 Cut the cable ties that hold fog light wiring and unplug their connectors. STEP 8 Unplug the temperature sensor connector located in the middle of the bumper. STEP 9 The sensor cable is held in place on the inside of the bumper by means of insulating tape. STEP 10 Lift the bumper away by pulling it forward so that it comes free from the brackets in wing and front. STEP 11 When replacing your bumper transfer the spoiler and number plate as well as the spoiler skirts to the new bumper

If you are talking about the spare tire compartment or the CD changer compartment all you do is press down on the black enlongated button on top of each compartment. Some times, one of the two latching mechanisms under the compartment will slide on top of the receiving end while the other will slide under where it is suposed to and lock the compartment (this is possible because the two latches are independent from each other. the button simply presses down on both at the same time). Since one of the latches is sitting on top of its receiving end it will be impossible to press down on button.If this is the case with your car, you will have to carefully force the cover off by applying a lifting and pulling away force on the cover while at the same time pressing down on the button so that when latch that went on top will free itself and the other will be able to go down and unlock the compartment.

Now, once you are able to free the door open you may make some adjustment so this will not happen again.To begin, go ahead and operate the button while the door is removed so you may see how it works. Notice how the two latches are independent of each other but the same button presses down both of them down.The cause of the problem is that one of the latches aproaches the receiving end at too high an angle and thus missing the receiving end slide ramp on one side. In order fix this you need to slightly twist the latching mechanism down(made of about a 1/4 inch thick rod) so that when it aproaches the slide ramp it will be low enough as to not miss it and end up on top again.You can twist the rod with two cressent wrenches. One to hold each end of the rod so you can try and twist it. Be carefull and good luck.

Well, it depends on whether you are taking off the front bumper or the rear bumper. If it is the front bumper, typically on cars you will find two screws (one on each side of the car) located at the point where the bumpers edge meets the fender right at the wheel well. Also, there may be some push pins along the front edge of the wheel well that connects the fender liner to the bumper - they all have to be removed. Then, you will either have to remove addtional push pins or screws along the bottom of the bumper - typically found where the undershield is connected to the bumper. Last, there could be additional push pins or bolts holding the top edge of the bumper and the grill as well. Once you believe you have removed all of the screws/bolts and push pins, give the front bumper a stern tug at the point where the bumper meets the fender at the wheel well. If you get some resistance, grab a flash light, pull back the fender liner and search for more screws/bolts that may be holding the bumper. Otherwise, the only other resistance you may feel is caused by the bumper fitting into the bumper brackets along the fender edge or at the center bracket in front of the car - just give it a firm tug and the bumper should come off. Tug onside first and then the other. Also, be aware of fog lights or reflectors - don't want to damage them and be sure to disconnect any fog lights. For the rear, relatively the same procedure however, you may need to pop your trunk sometimes on some cars, you will need to remove the rear trim panel or piece or even trunk interior trim to gain access to the nuts that are screwed onto the studs that are connected to the bumper. Also check where the bumper butts up to the rear of the trunk, you may find that you need to remove a couple of bolts there as well. Once you have been around the bumper removing all screws/bolts of push pins - do the same drill start at one side, give a firm tug and do the same to the other - the bumper should pull right off the brackets that are attached to the rear quarter panels. If you tug an the bumper won't budge look for the point of strongest resistance, there you will find an over looked bolt or pin. To replace the bumper do the opposite, line it up, slap it on, bolt it down.
