The dashboard is made of a plastic material, possibly covered with a faux leather. Because of the composition of the dashboard, you won't be able to paint it. There are other solutions available at auto part stores.

the underside comes off quite easy pop off the covers on both sides( doors open)there are about 13 gold t-15 screws,2 on the sides,2 under the radio,open the glove box there should be 3 in there, look below the steering wheel for more.once u get the bottom off then u can get to work on the top. if u've never taken apart car interiors take u'r time find all screws holing the pannel on & take them out before trying to pop them off

Follow the below steps to remove the dashboard from Mercury Marquis:

1) Pry all the pieces off of the dash by pulling them away from the dash.

2) Use radio removal tools to remove the radio in the Marquis. Place one tool inside two of the four holes in the front of the radio, and the other tool in the other two holes. Pull them away from each other and out of the dashboard. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the stereo.

3) Remove the screws surrounding the radio using a Phillips head screwdriver. Do not forget to remove the two on the underside of the radio.

4) Remove all the screws around the instrument cluster using screwdriver and use the steering wheel tilt lever to tilt the steering wheel all the way down.

5) Gently pry out the dash, making sure to disconnect the two wiring harnesses behind the dashboard panel before pulling it out completely.

Unscrew the two screws above the gauge cluster. Then, on the right side of the dash near the airbag switch start pulling the dash off, it is all held in place by clips.

I just had to do that myself to replace the flasher.(not knowing where it was) There are several snap like screws that are on the back of the dash. I started on the drivers side and worked my way over. There are two I believe right at the end of the left of the dash where the a/c vent is. It took a little pressure to get them to release, so be careful!!! I also had to drop the steering wheel down as far as it would go to get the dash out from behind it. It's alot easier to put back in!! Good luck.

Remove the dashboard instrument cluster cover. The cover is secured with four retaining screws. Take hold of the dashboard light, push in and turn at the same time to remove it. Reverse the process to install the new dashboard light.

It is under the dash, you have to remove entire dash to access.

That your brakepads are lose but I rang this number 07885203889 and it was a fault with the car they tell you how to turn the light off

Go to your nearest auto body supply shop and fiber glass (not the sheets the liquid) and the color additive you need put it in the crack, and wipe clean with an index card paint scrapper etc.... then use a wet sponge to clean excess

Until you say what is wrong, I recommend using a sledge hammer.

There are 2 slots at the bottom edge of the trim ring surrounding the radio and the vents -- wiggle a screwdriver into each of them and gently pop the trim ring loose. Work your way around to the sides and top with your fingers and the whole vent/radio trim ring will come away. 3 connectors hold the buttons/clock on, but you have enough slack to get the panel up and over. Just did this now myself, so i can vouch for it. Dan

get a flat head screw driver.pull out the ash tray flip the black flap down you will see a siver tad behind the black flap push down on the siver tab and pull the tray out at the same time

The simple answer is you don't. Most advance auto parts or some other large auto parts chain stores have loaner tools. Stop in one and ask they may have a puller.

I suppose you are talking about a car. You will have to take it to a garage if you dont know what your doing.

Maybe we can explore this a little further since the first responder gave

only minimalist information.

While I have no intimate knowledge of your vehicle, we can pretty much

assume that either you'll have to crawl under the dash and feel around for

the bulb socket, IE: use the force, or you'll have to remove some of the

dash trim and the gauge panel to access the back of it. If you can tell us

the make and model of your vehicle, maybe one of the others, who knows more than you and I, will pipe up with specific instructions.

If nothing else, I heartily suggest picking up a Haynes or Chilton manual

for your vehicle. If you're starting to have

little problems surface, a manual can help you solve a myriad of problems!

Jeep soft tops last around 3-5 years. The figure may vary, based on a number of factors. If you drive with your Jeep top on most of the time, it is going to wear down faster than someone who does not drive as much. Your environment also determines how harsh the elements are that your Jeep top has to combat. If you don't properly store your vehicle or the soft top, it could shorten its life, and a number of other factors.

to remove the radio from a s type jag you remove the hole consol which includes the climate controles and the draw or gps screen which ever is directly to the right of the radio, to do this use a flat point screw driver to pry the face of the climate controle off where you'll see two screws under it. pry the two little space fillers one to the left side of the radio and one to the right side of the draw or gps screen,you will see two more screws,after removing the 4 screws,pull the hole consol out,you'll find your way from there.good luck.

mine did that to. my bf had to take off the dash board and test the circuit board but it may be different for u. call a auto store and ask them.

It is possible, but there is a large difference in the dash/wiring/etc. Besides the dash, the wirhing harness for the dash as well as the harness for the motor and the radio harness will need to be changed.

Call your local Chevrolet dealer and ask them if there are any recalls on your vehicle. Have the VIN handy because they're going to ask for it.
