How do you replace the water pump on a 1997 Chrysler Concorde 3.5L?

The water pump is inside the engine, and it is necessary to remove the timing belt to get to it. On the 1994 New Yorker, which is about the same, this means removing the radiator or at least the fans, and then the belts for the alternator, and then the front cover of the engine. Under this you will find the engine timing belt that goes around the two cams, top left and top right. These can't move when the belt is off or it is trouble to get them aligned again. The water pump is under the cover which hides the inside of the engine from you.

In order to do this, you will need: a manual, like the Haynes manual sold at auto parts stores. probably a digital camera and some kind of paint marker so that you can photograph and mark the timing belt before you take it off, so you can get it on exactly. Time to do this is long. Not very good news I'm afraid. The books recommend putting in a new timing belt while you're at it, since it's so hard to get to.

The radiator with the fans still on it can be moved out of the way fairly easily. It is not easy to get the fans off the radiator, they are held on with strange steel clips.

Where is the fuel filter located on a subaru impreza?

It depends on the year of the Impreza.. but it's located towards the back of the trunk of the car. It might be easier for you if you remove the rear seats (5 bolts total) and get to it that way. You'll see a oval shaped piece with a few screws holding it down. Undo those and pull the cap off. The pump is right in there.

The info above is for the fuel PUMP. The fuel filter is in the engine bay. I have a '95 Impreza and as far as I know its in the same spot on all Impreza's until about '04 or '05. It is right behind the windshield washer fluid tank. The fuel filter is the black can with rubber fuel lines connecting to it.

Why does your 2005 Dodge Durango stall when driving?

I don't have an answer, but my 2005 Durango does the same thing. Always when decelerating, and when slowing down to turn (if it's going to do it). I have found several links online concerning the Automatic Transmission Control Module. But, there has been no resolution to the problem. My vehicle always starts right back up. But, it's annoying.

Why does dodge durango front end sound like it is rubbing or vibrating when turning at very slow speeds?

the reson why u hear that noise is because of your rear differential . limited slip unit. u should go to a mechanic and have the rear diferential service and inspected. if there is no metal chunks then have them reseal and replaced the fluid with a limited slip additive(very important). If there is metal chunks in ur rear dif then you will have to replace your limited slip differential(very expensive overhaul)$1000.00-$2000.00. this noise can be heard if u turn the wheel all the way to one direction an drive in a circle 0-10 miles per hour. it actually makes the noise every time you turn but u just cant hear it because of vehicle speed/road noise. the noise is not coming from the front its definatley coming from the rear

How do you replace the water pump on a 1996 Dodge Caravan 3.0L?

This is a very involved procedure, that is too complex to post here. Go to any auto parts store and purchase a repair manual for you ride. There you will find detailed instructions. Cost around $12

Your water pump is located behind your timing belt. As mentioned above it is an 'involved' repair. Is the water pump bad? You will have to take down the whole front of the engine. Also, since you are in there, I would suggest replacing the o-rings on the tube that runs from the back of the water pump to the back of the engine. May as well replace that timing belt too (unless it was recently done). Give yourself a full day for a do-it yourselfer.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1988 Dodge Dakota 6 cylinder?

Usually, Its attached to the Fan. You need to Remove the Serpentine belt, and remove the Fan, Its tricky cause the fan moves, I usually get good results with a crowbar, Drain the Radiator fluid, and remove the hoses connected to Water pump. There may be a pipe connected to the old water pump and a sealer ring you need to attach to the new pump so make sure you keep it, then remove the Bolts connecting the pump to the engine. Clean the rest of the gasket off the space in the engine and replace new pump in the same place, attach the bolts, Reattach the hoses, Fan assembly, Belt and refill with fluid.
