I believe it has four wires that plug in with a connector and it has two screws to hold it. The size it aprox 3 x 2 inches and not very thick. You will need to remove the air box to access it. How do you replace the headlight on a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan?
Open up the hood, Locate on top of headlight housing 3 flat head screws, place in a triangle patterned. remove all 3 and then using little flat handle slide out headlight housing. Some cars will have clips holding the socket in. Twist the socket a quarter turn counter clockwise, and pull out the socket. Grab the bulb, and pull it straight out. To replace the new bulb, never touch it with your bare fingers, as this will greatly shorten the bulb's life, if it even work's at all. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket, put the socket back into the housing, and twist a quarter turn clockwise to secure the socket into the fixture slide unit back into place, line up screw holes and replace screws tightly. I always like to test the bulb before I put everything back in securely.

My uncle had a 1992 sunbird and in order to change the starter on that one you had to take the front axle off and drop the starter out from the bottom because of the frame and cross over bars. Not sure if 89 would be exactly the same.
My daughter had one of those front drive cars. Rather than spend a lot of time on my back, I removed the head to get at it from above. I took the head in for service and wound up with a better car.
apparently the first person has no idea about the 89 turbos, the starter is under the multi port intake under the right side near the firewall, not a good take off bolt, replace job. I TOO would like to know from the gurus out here, do you take the passenger side wheel and axel off to get to the starter? Engine only has 52K Miles. Do not wish to remove anything i do not have to. How do you change the starter on a 1986 Nissan 300zx?
- Unhook the negative battery terminal.
- Lift the car.
- Slide under the car.
- Remove the brace that holds the intake manifold. See photo.
- Remove the oil filter. Have a small cup ready to capture 1 ounce of oil.
- Unscrew the solenoid power supply from the post. Use pliers.
- Unplug the harness from the solenoid socket that comes from the battery. Use a screw driver.
- Unscrew the bolt #1 from the bottom of the engine that holds the starter. You will need a 6 inch or longer swivel angle joint. See photo.
- From the top of the engine, unscrew the ground wire bolt that runs from the battery to engine housing. It is also the bolt #2 that attaches the starter to the engine housing. You will need a socket extension. See photo.
- The starter comes off.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal process.

If it the same as the 1998 model, there should be a black plastic box on the right side of the engine compartment that says "remove to service air filter element below", the filter is NOT in this box, it is in another plastic box below this one. You must remove the two screws on the box you see, romove the two hoses connected to it, one you just pull off, the other you must remove a clamp to remove. After you do this you can see the box containing the filter it is set vertically and has two metal clips keeping it closed, just reomve the clips, and change the filter, dont forget to replace both hoses and both screws.

Could be a timing issue. Timing may be off. Also check your spark plugs. If the engine has a timing belt, the timing sprocket may be wore out on the crankshaft. The timing will be off, loss of engine power and missing at idling speeds.
I have the same year and model as you.Same problem.I changed my spark plugs ,rotor cap and rotor.The problem still persisted, then I changed my spark plug wires and voila all was ok afterwards. Your gas filter may also cause that problem,so get it changed also. Good luck and merry Christmas

The horn is right under the left headlight assy two 10mm bolts..The fuse is in the underhood fuse block right beside the battery It is labeled on the cover of the fuse block....You probably need a horn if it's inop

If the horn still works for your alarm, (when you lock or panic) the fault is most likely the slip ring/spring in your steering wheel. That provides the negative side of he circuit to make the relay honk the horn. If every now and then the horn works, until you turn a few times, this is most likely the problem. Could also be the horn relay (under the hood, clearly marked in a fuse panel there.)
