remove the door trim, there are a few rivits that pop off the bottom, a screw in the door handle box, then the trim should lift up and off. then you should have room to remove the motor. I think there is three bolts holding it on. There is also a few connections that pull off. It's pretty simple for the most part. Hope this helps.
Re-check connections. If that doesn't solve the problem, use a meter to find out if you're getting voltage to the window when you push the down button. If not, the switch could be bad. Note: It could be either the passenger or drivers side button. If it DOES get voltage when pressing down, the motor is bad.

You must remove the door panel (careful there are hidden screws near the arm rest). Then you must pull or push the window all the way up, and secure it with duct tape in the up position. Then remove the clamps secured to the botton of window. Then remove all the bolts holding window regulator assembly to door framing. Then you must carefully rotate the assmebly until it is in position of largest opening in door frame and remove. Then to place new regulator assembly in door framing the opposite of how you removed the old one. Make sure to loosen the clamps prior to placing the regulator assembly into the door (it might be wise to place something into the clamps to keep them open).

Take the door panel off there are 2 screws one is located at the bottom of door panel the other is hidden behind the button panel which contains the up/down switch for the window use a flat head screwdriver to remove the button panel. After these 2 screws are removed take the panel off by lifting the panel in an upward direction it is hooked to the door. unattach wires and then everything should be relatively easy. remove regualtor by unscrewing two bolts on top and drilling 2 rivits that at the bottom of the door. the window is riveted to the the regulator so that will also have to be drilled. Do not drill the 3 rivets where the motor is located. the motor can be removed by unscrewing 3 star type screws. to put it back together you'll need to buy replacement nuts and bolts to replace the rivets you drilled.

IF THE WINDOW IS THE DRIVERS YOU MAY HAVE THE WINDOW LOCK OUT SWITCH ON AND OTHER WINDOWS WORK AT DRIVERS SWITCH ONLY IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE IT COULD BE THE WINDOW SWITCH sounds like a window gear is broken. it's a good deal of work. a mechanic can do it fairly easily I've been dealing with the same problem on a 91 town car here. Only the Driver's window works and the other three windows all stopped working at the exact time time. They all make noise as if the motors are doing their things, but no up and down. The window lock switch at the drivers side seems to have no impact on the symptoms. Perhaps in a related problem, I am now having issues with the power side view mirror and the radio is intermittent. I'm afraid that when the previous owner had some work done in the door panel that some wires may have been crossed. If fuses checked ok, this sounds like the window relay located under passenger side of dash behind kick plate. check fuse box under instrument panel, then fuse box under hoot on passenger side on top of wheel well. not likely 3 windows swithes go out at once, or 3 window motors.

Remove the trim pad by removing the door and window handles, then all of the screws you can find then the retainders around the sides and bottom of the door. Inside of the door is a lot of very sharp edges that can cut you bad also the reguoator is spring loaded. I suggest taking it to a trim shop.
