What could be wrong if the power windows on a Nissan 300ZX went out at the exact same time but it is not the fuses?

Drivers switch or the power window relay...read up on diagnostics... ...everyone should have a manual for their vehicle(parts store or dealer), and a local library should have professional shop manuals available in the REFERENCE section for free...make copies of the appropriate sections...read up and good luck :)

How do fix rear electric window in 84 ford full size bronco if there is power going through the wires but still not going down?

I just did this in my 85 bronco. I don't Know what if anything you tracked is right so I'll start from the begining. With 2 people and a voltameter. Open your tail gate. Go in the back and open the panel on your tailgate there is a wire connector on the inside of the tailgate, disconnect and put a voltameter on it, have the other person turn the switch up and down. If you see your 12 volts come on you are good to that point. If not its your wire's or switch. If it's your wire it is pobably between your tailgate and the truck on the drivers side. If you your good to this point than with a 5/16 socket remove the three bolts that hold's your motor in place and pull your motor out and reconnect it to the wireing, and turn your switch on and off. Does it move the gear? Is your ingtion turned to the on postion. If your gear does not turn go get another one form the dealer or junkyard.

Also - There is a safety switch in the left tailgate latch that will disable the window motor if it is not shut. If you push the latch in you can work on it with the tailgate down. When you take out the motor remove the gear cover and look at the spacers they will probably be shattered. I have heard of using nuts as a replacement. Open up the motor and with a volt meter test the wires from the brush to the plug. If you left the switch on up front you may have caused internal circuit breaker to be permanently open. If you see that just bend them back together. Put the motor back together carefully and give it a try.

Can a car alarm be installed in a car without power windows and doors?

The short answer is yes. car alarms have different types of activation devices. some tie-in to the light switch on the door. others have motion detection, sensors for glass breakeage, even thermal and echo detection. ask the salesperson for details. If you have purchased one already and do not see the information you need, call the manufacturer. they are usually quite helpful .

What is wrong with your 1998 Chevy cavalier power window that goes down but not up?

You probably missed the contact on the switch in the door panel. Check it out by using a 12 V power cable to turn the motor both directions. If that doesn't work you probably need a new motor for that window.

How do you fix the power windw on a 1997 VW Jetta. The window is able to go down but can only be manually pulled up when the button is held all the way up. How do i go about this problem?

on these doors there are cable regulators which wind up when you roll the window up and wind down when you roll the window down. most of these cables get tangled and bound up. the easy way to fix this problem is to get a new window regulator, but not from the VW dealer ist $260, each door. Autopartsonlinecanada.com is the cheapist place to find the regulator for $63. Hope this helps

How can the power window switch assembly in a 2000 Olds Alero be removed?

remove door panel and you will be able to remove the switch from the back side

Removing the door panel can make it never quite go back on right. Better, and probably easier, to get at it from the other side:

Under the door handle is a small oval panel, maybe about 3 inch by 1/2 inch. It can be pried out fairly easily. Inside there are 2 large Philips head screws. Remove them. Now you can carefully pry out the section of hard plastic they were holding, the lower part of the handle. After that is out, you can pry up the upper part of the handle. Careful, there will be bundles of wires attached to the switch assembly. Each of the 3 bundles has a connector to the assembly, held on by a clip. I'm not sure exactly which contacts connect to which switches, but as soon as I get a meter handy, I'm going to check.

How to put a 1995 crown Victoria window on track?

You probably wont. Chances are, if your window doesn't go up and down right, you have a broken pulley in the window regulator assembly. This is common and requires the replacement of the window regulator.

How do you install a window regulator motor in a 1992 Toyota Camry?

Remove the panel by unscrewing the screws that are located around the panel, most of them are visible by removing the plastic caps that cover them. The door handle cover is snapped in by tabs, pry them of carefully with a screwdriver. Disconnect the electrics for the door lock and the window. Peel back the plastic dust cover to expose the three bolts that hold the regulator motor and also the three bolts that hold the track. Install the new regulator. You also need to unbolt the glass from the track and carefully slide the glass up and out.

How do you dismantle the rear window safety feature on a 1997 Tahoe The rear windows in your car only go down 5 inches and would like the window to go completely down Help?

The window will not go down further than that because of the shape of the door. The door has an indent in the shape of the wheel well, and there is no room in the door for the glass to go down further. The suburban does not have this issue since its longer and the wheel well is further back.

Answer: I cannot believe how many people ask this? I mean....seriously....just look at the shape of the door!

How do you remove the door panel on a 1998 dodge neon to replace electric window switch?

remove all the body screws, there is one that I remember being hard to find behind the handle, and try to pop the plastic pins that hold the panel on the bottom of the door, these are sort of barbed and take a little work, once you have the bottom work your way up, you'll find out real quick if you missed a screw. Pop every pin out so the panel is mostly free. after that, lift the panel upwards *and slightly out* to get it off the top of the door, because it kind of sits on that sill. after that you are on your own for the switch, shouldn't be too hard. hope this helps. I'd be glad if you add info.

good luck

Oh, and if you can, go get the Chilton manual for the car at a car parts store. It is really helpful.
