1989 XJ6 - Circuit One Failure Replaced fuse fan ac compressor and still get blown fuse wcircuit one failure occurring Anyone know why or how to fix?

fuses blow because their amperage is exceeded. you have a short somewhere, or the coil on the ac compressor is drawing too much current. DO NOT PUT A HIGHER RATED FUSE IN PLACE OF THE OLD ONE!!!!!!!!!!! that will cause more problems (such as a fire) is you have a wiring schematic, you can unplug all items less one, and try that until the fuse blows. you can also try to splice in fuses (of the correct amperage) in various points in the circuit if the wiring is hard to trace.

What type of oil do you use 2000 ml430?

How many cc's are in a 1.8 liter engine?

Hi, A cc is a cubic centimeter and is equivalent to the volume of 1 milliliter at 22 degrees Celcius. Therefore in a perfect world, a 1.8 Liter engine will displace 1,800 ccs. Remember, that seldom does the engine exacly displace the stated Liter size. Your actual vehicle specifications (found in your manual) may be slightly less that the advertised engine liter size. They round the liter size to make it easier for the consumer to understand. Hope this helps.

Why are foreign cars faster than American cars?

Not all foreign cars are faster than American cars. There are many fast American-made cars such as the Ford GT and the Corvette SS but most of the time foreign are more faster because in othe countries like Europe or Asia the freeway speeds ara up to a 150 mph minimun so that's why they are more faster they made them like that to match that country speed limits.
The Americans never realised that it is possible to run out of space, fuel or materials. So instead of building things smarter or better, they simply made them bigger and heavier with bigger, heavier, thirstier (poorly engineered) engines.

American suspension design didn't change much from 1950 to 1990, for instance. Europeans have on the other hand always been faced with challenges concerning space and materials. They built cars smarter and better, and incorporated technology into vehicles and engines. That's why the average 4 cylinder German sedan outperforms the average 6 cylinder Yank Tank... And uses MUCH less fuel!

How do you remove permanent marker pen from car paintwork?

You could try a bit of rubbing alcohol. It works pretty well on non-porous surfaces. If it has soaked into the surface, you may have to use a mild buffing compound, but this can have a negative effect on the overall surface and if you aren't careful you could go through the paint.

Why is there high carbon monoxide in exhaust gas of Ford Mondeo?

High levels of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas of a Ford Mondeo can be due to issues such as a malfunctioning catalytic converter, a faulty oxygen sensor, or an engine running too rich. These issues can lead to incomplete combustion of fuel, resulting in higher carbon monoxide emissions. Regular maintenance and proper servicing can help prevent these problems.

Is it best to make cars from Aluminum or Steel?

I would suggest that Aluminum is preferable. It is lighter than steel, which can result in a higher performance vehicle (faster acceleration, better braking, improved fuel economy). Furthermore, unlike steel, aluminum will not rust. Aluminum is also easier to recycle. Aluminum cars have a stiffer feel- giving them a sportier feel, and absorb impact about 1.5 times as well as steel, making them safer. The downside, of course, is the high cost of aluminum compared to steel.

Volvo 740 turbo having electrical ground problems. How does some of the components keep gound when others fail?

There are numerous ground points on a Volvo 740. The two most troublesome are located on the left and right inner front fenders - on the driver side is the ground for the coil and some lights. On the passenger side is the ground for the radio interference relay, which is really a ballast for the fuel injection system. The engine computers are grounded to lugs on the intake manifold. All are subject to corrosion. Believe or not, the windshield wiper ground is also troublesome, as evident when the wipers won't park or won't even shut off. I ran auxiliary ground wires, #12 stranded, from battery negative, to EACH grounding point. I also cleaned the ground terminals on the inner fenders and coated the connections with dialectric grease. Use a 12 volt probe, on the lights up - put the alligator clip on battery positive and probe the grounding points. If the light lights and is strong, ground is good. Weak light or no light, ground is questionable.

Some of the Volvo control circuits run on as little as 3.5 volts. A flaky ground can cause all kinds of mysterious problems.

How do you remove the governor?

Simply remove the linkage, spring, and control arm. Letting the crank or air vane run free is fine, but you risk extreme engine damage from overspeeding. Example: a 5 hp horizontal shaft L-head left at wide open throttle will go from idle to 8000 rpm (guaranteed connecting rod failure) in a little less than 2 seconds, OHV engines even faster!

How do you Replace wiper arm Audi?

On most of the cars I've owned (in UK) there is a cover on the end of the arm that lifts up exposing a threaded shaft that the arm is attached to. Undo the retaining nut and ease up the wiper arm. It may be tight as it is on a spline. You may need to tap it with a soft mallet to free it, or use some WD40 or similar. When replacing be careful to line it up on the spline in the correct place or you may not get the correct sweep on the windscreen (as we say here).

How do you fix a broken car window handle?

your going to have to take it to a mechanic. mine just recently broke and its because the handle had actually broken from the inside so they had to get all new parts for it. it sucked because for some reason my car window got stuck halfway down and you couldn't get it back up, so people were easily able to break into my car!

What is the difference between a BMW 325i and a BMW 325is?

This depends heavily on the year of the 325is. The "s" designates "sport", and it typically has been collection of performance options.

The original 325is was introduced in 1987 with the "e30" body style. That generation of 325is was specially the 2 door sedan (other makes refer to this as a "coupe", but BMW calls it a 2 door sedan) with a firmer suspension, limited slip differential, special air dam, trunk spoiler, sport seats and other upgraded interior features. Later generations had similar upgraded options that are year-specific, but always include performance options (firmer suspension, LSD) and the high-end interior options (sport seats).
