Where is the blinker fluid reservoir located?
Blinker Fluid Reservoir? No such animal exists on a car, perhaps you were thinking of brake fluid, or wiper fluid? In those cases the wiper fluid is the large often times plastic tank that sits either on the left or right side of the engine bay usually towards the front center of either side. Master cylinder/brake fluid res, would be a much smaller tank about the size of a big cell phone on either side of the engine bay usually tucked up towards the firewall. it'll have a plastic scrwe cap or metal cap depending on the year of the vehicle.
Answerif someone tells you to check your blinker fluid, they are pulling your leg. It is a common practical joke played on people with little car knowledge. Chances are, they will also tell you to check your "muffler belt", another non-existant part. How many gallons is a 2001 ford escort zx2 tank?
( 12.8 U.S. gallons ) in the 2001 Ford Escort models
There are no sensors on pre '78 Carb Beetles. There is an "idle cutoff switch" that shuts off the fuel flow so the car won't run when turning the car off. The car will either run or not. The Solenoid MIGHT have a weak internal spring that won't stay open all the way but that is really rare. It is probably a vacuum leak. When the car warms up, every thing expands slightly and it might be sucking air and making it too lean. Using CAUTION, spray some starting fluid or Carb cleaner around the outside of the carb, intake bellows, and at the area at the head and intake. Just spray it a little bit at a time, If it starts to idle fast then you have a vacuum leak. Some times the plug for a vacuum port will come off on the carb so just take a hard look at any thing that might look wrong. Try spraying the Carb cleaner IN the carb and get it cleaned up too. You'd be surprised how dirty it can get sometimes. If anything it may be time to rebuild the carb. You did adjust the valves right? The early beetles are real sensitive for valve adjustment.
Does anyone have instructions for front strut replacement on 95 ford escort lx?
Hope This Doesn`t Mess Up Your Question. To Install New Struts You Will Need Some Heavy Duty Jack Stands To Place The Car On. Then Remove The Struts Take Them To A Garrage That Can Install The New Ones Inside The Springs. + THIS REQUIRES A SPECIAL PRESS+ and you could get seriously injured trying to do this yourself even if you could. SUGGESTION" Call A Good Garrage Or Front End Shop And Get Prices. This Is The Best Way.

How do you change O2 sensors in a 1999 Ford Escort?
I have a 1996 Explorer, and changed an oxygen sensor just the other day. All I needed was a 7/8" wrench. Since the year of the vehicle is different, the sensor might be as well. Give it a try!
Yea, its always a 7/8" socket or wrench. It was the same on my honda.
I have a 1999 escort there are two sensors one before the catalytic converter and one after I just changed the one before. you need a special socket for the oxygen sensor. simply get the socket from any auto parts store like Advance or Autozone. open your hood, looking at the spark plugs the sensor is just below the plugs on the left. unplug the sensor and attach socket(hardest part), unscrew the sensor. Replace with new sensor and connect wiring, Close hood. Finished. . Cant help you with the one after the catalytic convertor because this fixed my problem.
By the way while you are under the hood if your engine is misfiring then check your spark plugs and wires for proper gap it could be that simple and you could actually avoid spending alot of money on what is a simple fix. I recommend you do the spark plug thing before the oxygen sensor.
Why won't your brake lights come on?
START BY CHECKING FOR A BURNT FUSE. THEN YOUR LIGHT SWITCH. SOME OLDER CARS HAVE A FUSE ON THE BACK OF THE LIGHT SWITCH ITSELF. THESE ARE NOT THE EASIEST THINGS TO WORK ON. DASHES ARE TRICKY SO IF YOU NOT VERY EXPERIENCED HAVE IT CHECKED BY SOME ONE ELSE. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATERY BEFORE YOU WORK WITH THE DASH. YOU MAY JUST HAVE TWO BURNED OUT HEAD LIGHTS. ITS POSSABLE! GOOD LUCK
How do you reconnect the heater AC control cable to the control arm on a 1999 Ford Escort?
I have a 97 that should be similar. I'm confused by your term heater / AC control "cable". Mine has a vacuum hose cluster to control the dampers for AC/ defrost etc. The temperature control though is a cable which is accessible behind the cover pannels next to the gas pedal. Remove them by taking out the push pins (center head is like a nail head that has to be pulled out a little then the whole push pin will come out.) I am here looking for an answer to how you remove that cable from the operator arm. The details are avoided in the Haynes book other than to "remove" it. Lotsahelp! It is ont obvious to me what to undo, or how. The whole mechanism is covered by a plastic cover that the opoerationg cable fits up into. If you figure it out let me know. I just figured out the damper control cable while working on my radio. The cable runes from the control knob below the radio to the damper which is next to the gas peddle I took out my radio an when doing so pulled the cable off the back of the control knob. When putting the radio back I found that the cable was to short to allow you to get your finger in to reconnect it before reinstalling the radio. I tried going through the access panel as indicated above but that just gave me a visual with no way to reach up there. I then realized I must disconnect the cable from the damper end such that I can reconnect it to the radio/control knob end while the radio is out. The end at the damper actually just slid off the stem when I pried it with a screw driver. Then reconnected by simply pushing it back on. As for the control knob end it clips into place with 2 tabs and the spindle for the gear pokes through a hole. After making this connection but prior to replacing the radio check the operation of the knob. The cable limits the rotation of the knob so make sure that the knob is giving you the proper range of motion. I think there were about 7 clicks in either direction. When I first hooked the cable to the knob, the knob only rotated 3 clicks to the cool side so I counted the total clicks in the range of motion then clicked it to the middle of the total clicks , disconnected the cable, turned the knob to pointing straight up and reattached the cable. Next I reinserted the radio, then connected the cable to the damper.
Could be both. Advise you get it to a Shop A.S.A.P Good Luck and Remember.

Where is the downstream oxygen sensor on a 1998 Escort LX?
On most ford escorts, the oxygen sensor is located under the hood, on the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe. You'll have to look down between the engine and radiator.
Why are lights kept on all the time in chicken houses?
birds hormones basically is how to think of it are controlled by the amount of light they get. It affects their egg production and molting patterns. So egg producers and showers regulate the light for birds to keep production high. Chickens need 15 hours of light per day. Daylight is best so I have a screened window across the front of their house facing east. When the light hits them you can hear them cackling as they lay their eggs. Being winter, that's between 7-11am. I find they get lethargic if they don't get enough daylight so I have a light on for them through the night. I'm planning to connect a timer for additional 6 hours they need. It seems if I have the light on continually they get cranky after a week or so. For now, I click it off on the weekend so they get more beauty rest. Another thing I noticed about the artificial light, it works best if placed by their feeding area, far from their nests and perches. This way, the ones who want to be up have light to feed. Be careful to use a covered light so that hens can't peck the light accidentally when they are diving for that moth or mosquito. :)

Why would a 1999 Saturn have no tail lights and dash lights?

How do You install a new kick down cable on a 1999 Chevy Tracker 4X4 2 door 2.0?
This is not a "kick-down" cable per my tranny mechanic. This cable goes to a transmission fluid pressure valve and will burn up your transmission if not changed immediately....
How do you change the front bearing on the 95 ford escort LX wagon?
first of all be sure you have a "jaw type puller" a 2 or 3 jaw puller should work and a "torx" bit set usually between T35 to T50. and you will also need a hydraulic shop press, this is the only way to remove the cartridge bearing from the hub and the knuckle. if you dont have access to a shop press find a local automotive machine shop they should be able to press out the old bearing and press in the new bearing they usually charge about 30-45 bucks to do this do NOT attempt to use a hammer to remove the bearing, doing this will only cause the cartrige bearing to "mushroom out" and with every blow it will become increasingly more difficult until it seizes. How to change front wheel bearings on a 95 escort. first jack the car up and place a jackstand underneath the car then remove the wheel, once the wheel is off get a old srewdriver and stick it in the rotor so that it will not rotate. then use a hammer and chissel or stake to raise the flat spot on the big axle nut that prevents it from loosening, you will need a large socket with a "breaker bar" then remove the big nut that is in the center of the hub, these are usually torqued to 170 ft lbs. so it will not come off easy you might have to get a steel pipe to get more leverage on the breaker bar. then you'll need to remove the tie rod nut be sure to pull out the cotter pin first. once the nut is off the tie rod end will most likely be stuck you can use a hammer on the underside of the tierod end body but dont hit the threaded portion unless the nut is threaded on part way to protect the threads. if you still cant remove the tierod get a "pickle fork" from an auto parts store then insert the pickle fork between the tierod and steering knuckle and hammer until it pops off *note if you use the pickle fork method you will need a new tie rod end as the fork will destroy the protective rubber grease seal allowing dirt to wear out the tierod end. and you will have to have the front end alligned by a professional shop. After the tierod is off remove the brake caliper bolts using a "torx" bit with a rachet, you can let the caliper hang on the hose but you should use a piece of wire to hang the caliper out of your way while you work. then slide the rotor off the hub now get your jaw puller and attach it to the hub flange and center of the axle and tighten until the axle is pushed through the splines. now remove the 18mm bolts from the strut where it meets the steering knuckle, then unbolt the balljoint from the lower control arm after you remove the knuckle assemly take it to a maching shop and bring your new bearing so they can press it in. installation is reverse of removal be sure to grease the axle spines before reassembly so its easier to push through the hub. and when tightening the big axle nut torque it to 170 ft lbs if you have a torque wrench if not get it really tight! and be sure to use your chissle to stake in that flat spot so the nut wont come loose
Sounds like the splines and or the "C" ring is damaged. Under normal circumstances the axle should snap into place firmly. Remove the axle and examine it. With a little luck only the axle is damaged and you can replace the axle with a rebuilt one.

Where the air conditioning relay for a 1998 Ford Escort Wagon is The compressor is not starting.?
Most of the relays for the ford escort are located under the hood in a black box with white labelling on it. Also check your underdash fuses. If this doesn't repair the problem, then you might have to replace the air compressor, as they sometimes do set up.
The AC compressor relay, and the AC wide-open throttle cut-out relay are in a box under the air cleaner. It is called the multi-function relay. Try tapping on it while the AC switches are on and see if it will start to work.
How do you check standard transmission fluid level on a 1996 ford escort lx?
There is no way to check it other than taking the speedometer gear/ speed sensor out of the top of the transmission. It is in there tight and you could break it trying to get it out. The proper fluid level is to the top of the gear. I strongly suggest you leave it alone. Others have broken off the speedometer gear and it has fallen into the bottom of the transmission case jamming the shifters so it can't be shifted. If you see no leaks it's probably Okay. If it is leaking, get it fixed and take it to a mechanic.
That way if it breaks he has to pull the engine/transmission out and you don't.
