The first thing you need to do is remove the outer panel of the dashboard that surrounds the radio. This varies from year to year, but you'll find that there are some lag screws around the bottom panel. You may need to pop off some plastic trim to get at these screws. Once you've got the panel off, you need to pop out the radio. This can be done with the Ford radio removal tool (which costs money) or with a DIY device made by cutting a wire coat hanger and shaping two "U" type tools (which is free). Slide them in the holes (2 on each side) and put slight outside pressure on the tools and the factory radio will slide right out. Disconnect the wiring assembly and the antenna cable, and you have a clean slot, ready for your next head unit assembly. The radio removal tool may also come with some new stereos or installation kits specific to Ford Vans.

Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine and are normally replaced when the engine is rebuilt.

The oil can symbol means low oil pressure. The oil can symbol with a wiggly line beneath it means low oil level. Stop the engine and investigate the cause, or catastrophic engine damage may follow.

The 1994 Ford E1 50 turn signal flasher can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The turn signal flasher relay will be above the brake pedal.

so the air / fuel mixture for the engine is adjusted under various conditions )

Trouble code P1451 means: Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit

My anti-theft system was going off and the truck would not start...I was frustrated, but to turn it off you simply have to use your key and unlock your drivers side door. I do not have the remote or the keyless entry code since I purchased the truck used. If it has the keyless entry on the driver's side door, punch in the correct number to unlock the door and the system should be disarmed. Open the tailgate door and in the left panel open the jack panel and inside there is a module with 2 plugs. This is the Keyless module, disconnect the right one and you have it..

as far as i know it is only possible to buy the entire hub/bearing unit. replacing this isn't too difficult. remove the wheel, caliper and rotor, the three bolts holding the hub unit on, pull the cv driveshaft out of the back and it's free. if you have ABS be sure to disconnect the lead as well

If you mean the stop solenoid it is on top of the fuel pump. The fuel pump is at the front of the engine bay on driver side.

If you still have the backing plate available you can use it RTV silicone adhesive to mount the glass to the backing plate. If you have not yet purchased the mirror glass we do have them available for $19.99 shipped and they include adhesive mounting tabs designed specifically for mounting glass to the backing plate. I'm not sure if this is the same, but I just changed the fuel filter on my 1997 E250 4.2 liter van. The high pressure fuel filter is located under the driver's side door, inside the frame rail, forward of the fuel tank, just behind what I think is the catalytic converter. It is tucked up inside the driver's side frame rail and is held in place by a hose clamp. You will also need the a/c and fuel line quick disconnect set. I bought mine from Checker/kragen/shucks. It was made by Powerbuilt part # 648424. Good luck.

1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8

The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE

The # 1 position on the distributor cap faces towards the REAR

The fuses are listed on the cover of the fuse box. If you need a schematic or wiring diagram you will probably have to buy a service/repair manual.

According to the 2005 Ford Explorer owners manual : For the 4.0 L - V6 engine ( .051 to .056 inch ) For the 4.6 L - V8 engine ( .052 to .056 inch )

Look at the bottom of your engine. this bottom section is the oil pan it has screws holding the oil pan on to the bottom of the engine. There is a single bolt that allows you to drain the oil out. If you need to take it off get a few things ready. One the proper amount of oil to refill it, and new oil pan gasket. This is there to prevent leaks. It is usually not hard to do but even the easy things can have compications. Have a great day. First remove Engine, then install on engine stand. The reason you must remove engine, is the panwont clear the axle housing and the oil pump assembly.
