Where is the tensioner for the serpentine belt on a Saturn?

The belt tensioner is located below and in front of the power steering pump. It is accessed easiest by taking off the passenger front tire, taking the plastic panels out and looking just in front of and above the alternator. Turn it clockwise to release tension on the belt, NEVER turn it counter clockwise as this will loosen the bolt that holds the pulley on the tensioner and will cause very bad things if it flys off while you are driving on the freeway...personal experience. The tensioner is held on by (2) 10mm bolts, and you will have to remove the pulley to get to them, just make sure you tighten the bejeezus out of the pulley bolt.

Can anyone tell me about a magnet that makes the camshaft sensor fire the plugs in a 93 Ponitiac Grand Am?

Yep, but not a whole lot. In electronic igniton systems, the "old fashioned" points and condenser in the distributor have been replaced with non-mechanical timing for the firing of the ignition coil[s], and thus the plugs. The method for doing this is a "Hall Effect" transistor pickup sensor, which is "triggered" by a small magnet[s] passing by it. Sorry I can't give more detail. j3h.

How do you change a 1999 fuel injector Pontiac gt 2.4?

I haven't changed injectors on the 2.4 engine, but I have changed them on a Sunfire 2.2.

I'm pretty sure that they are similar. What helped me, was having my Haynes manual for the car. I suggest that you pick one up.

The job is fairly direct and shouldn't take too long, once you get a grip on what's going on.

The engine turns over when you try to start your 1987 tercel but wont start it wont accept a jump start either What should you try next?

Okay, crank it. No start...are you getting fuel? If so, check for spark. If you are getting spark and fuel, check to see if your timing is correct. After that, I'm really not sure...if you are getting gas and spark, then the thing should fire up.

I strongly suggest that you go to a repair shop with the proper equipment as well as a very good tech to diagnosis the problem. You could replace parts and never fix the problem.jd1709

1996 Dodge Grand caravan 33 engine wont start it does not click when you try to start it it wants to but wont i changed the camshaft sensor but it wasnt that anyone else have this problem?

This question can produce multiple answers, before you go any further try locating your starter relay located on the right side of the battery under a cover. this cover will give a diagram showing you where the relay is located. You can take the low or high beam relay and switch it with your starter and test both ways. (turn on high beams or headlight depending on swap, then trying to start this vehicle) If nothing happens then you can eliminate that and hook up a set of jumper cables to the battery and touching the positive cable to the starter. There will be a fat wire and a skinny wire the fat wire will be covered with plastic the skinny will have a plug that needs to be removed from starter. Where this plug is connected (on the starter side) touch the positive cable to the prong if vehicle turns over, you can eliminate a bad starter, then you can turn your key on and bump the starter again if vehicle starts you need a ignition switch or you need to check your wiring.

Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am?

What size engine? If the engine is a 3.4 litre, the sensor is located directly under the power steering pump. Power steering pump, must be removed before you can gain access to the camshaft sensor. I also removed the engine mount, to ease removal of power steering pump. Caution!!! (support engine with jack before removing engine mount.)
