What would cause the AC compressor of a 2003 Toyota Corolla not to turn on besides a fuse?
Most commonly, the problem is low refrigerant level. Either check the level of the refrigerant yourself or have someone do it for you.
Also, per Toyota Technical Service Bulletin dated Jun 3, 2005, the magnetic clutch relay, part number 90987-02022 fails and another part, 90987-02028 is used to replace it. Toyota will replace the part if it is still under warranty. In the 2003 Corolla, the relay is located in a box just behind the battery and it is marked something like M/G CLT on the inside lid of the box. This applies to 01-04 Camry, Echo & Celica, 02-04 4Runner, Corolla & MR2 Spyder and 03-04 Highlander, Matrix, Sienna, & Solara. Lexus models are also affected but I don't have the info on that.

What is the difference between a diesel engine and a gasoline engine?
The main difference is the way the fuel gets ignited. In a gasoline engine, there is a spark plug connected to coils driven by the points and the distributor, that electrically generate a spark at the right time and ignite the fuel. In a diesel engine, there are no electric parts and no spark plug, and the fuel ignites simply because of heating up up by being compressed. That accounts for diesel engines being much more water-friendly, since getting the high voltage electrics of the gasoline engine wet disables it quite easily. It also accounts for diesel engines starting up harder in cold, since they need to be hot to ignite fuel, not having a spark to aid them do that.

How do you change cabin air filter in Honda Civic 2002?
A 2002 Honda Civic has two cabin air filters, side by side, behind the glove box compartment.
How do you change the cabin air filter Chevrolet aveo 2006?
Pinch in the sides of the glove box, pull down and out, and then remove the 4 screws that hold the horizontal metal brace or you won't be able to pull out filter. There is a vertical cover with a snap tab on it on the left side of bracket of the brace you removed.Snap the bottom tab loose, the top will slide out. The filter is behind that cover, just pull it out, it's like corrugated paper. I blew mine out with a air hose and sprayed Febreze on it before reinstalling. Next time I'll get a new one, about 10-15 bucks at this time.
Why would no air come from the dash vents on a 1991 Ford Mustang even with the AC on?
Bad blower motor or bad fuse. Check the fuse first it is a cheap fix it is the problem.
I Have 1996 Mustang and mine was blowing out the defrost and it ended up being vaccum line. 1/8 vaccum line located on the firewall I followed it across the engine to find, it broke from the boot it was plugged into. I pulled the old line out of the boot and plugged back in and it worked
try checking the fan relay
change the thermostat. sounds like it is stuck open, allowing high flow through the radiator at highway speeds where the air flow rate accross the radiator is enough to keep it cool. In the city the fan thermostat turns the fan off to maintain temperature. Nice easy and inexpensive fix. Should also improve milage slightly.
What would cause the fans on an 85 Cadillac Sedan DeVille to not cool the radiator?
Either the inside of the rad is plugged, so you need to flush it, or the vanes are plugged with dirt, bugs, leaves, etc. You will need to pressure wash it from the inside of the engine compartment. Your water pump could be shot.

99 Chevy Venture Has new temp cooling sensor Cooling fans wont come on unless you turn on the ac?
Just got back from the mechanic's shop on this one. He's telling me that my 01 Venture with the same problem needs a new coolant fan. Plain and simple. My right hand coolant fan is drawing 50 amps at start up ( that would be 20 more than the fuses would allow) so the system just won't turn them on. Some where around $300 for the entire fan assembly or $130 for a new fan motor not including labor should fix the problem so he says. Hope this helps a little.
Does the antifreeze leak stopper work if am leaking from the head gasket?
It is possible. However, it will be a temporary fix.
Why does your 2006 Chrysler Sebring get bad fuel mileage?
The Chrysler Sebring is the worst car on gas milage i have ever had and for being a 4 cylinder i will never buy one again
I recently purchased a 2003 Chrysler Sebring, 4 cyl. 73,000 original miles, great condition inside and outside. I paid $5300! So far, it gets really good mileage! The only problem I have encountered, so far, is that, after idling for several minutes, the car dies out. Seems to be a common problem, regardless of the year. Also, when the car is below 1/2 tank of gas, the gauge doesn't read properly. I've run out of gas twice with no warning! Bummer!

How does air get into the cooling system on car?
Air can get into the cooling system when the coolant is replaced as either part of a maintenance schedule or when the system must be drained for a repair. When the coolant is replaced the coolant system must be "burped" to get any air out of the coolant lines. There are various ways to do this dependant upon the type of vehicle. A repair manual for your vehicle will describe the proper technique.
Why is there water pouring out of engine on my 1992 ford f-150?
If its not coming from underneath the water pump, (the weep hole) it sounds like it has frozen and pushed out one of your freeze plugs, or the block has cracked. Sure hope it ain't the latter.
I've been a little slow on the draw lately so I'm sure you've gotten plenty of help from our capable buddies out there. Good luck and let me know how it goes hoop_hoop
And you might have a broken hose or a loosed clamp. Because water just do not pour out from your engine.
it also could be a frost plug but ill bet its the block heater has come out
How do you change a cabin air filter in Honda 1997 civic LX?
You have to remove the glove compartment to access the filter. Couple of screws and your done These filters are expensive: 25-30 dollars! The installation instructions for the Honda Civic DX, LX, and EX s are in the package when you purchase the cabin air filters. Location of cabin filters: Behind the glove compartment, behind an access door on the passenger side of the vehicle. I just now removed and install the filters on my 2002 Honda Civic LX. Very easy. To remove existing filters: 1. Open the glove compartment and locate and remove the hindge tabs on both sides of the inside of the glove compartment. The tabs are plastic, and pry out very easily. Once you've pried them open, remove each. 2. Just let the glove compartment door swing down. Note: all the contents will fall out. :-) 3. There is a black plastic horizontal door. Open the door, no tools needed, and remove it. 4. Pull out one filter with its plastic frame. 5.Slide the second filter over, and remove it and its frame. 6. Remove the dirty filters from each frame. (Mine were quite dirty.) And replace with clean filters in each frame. 7. Reinstall both filters and frames into the filter housing. 8. Reattach the filter access door. Tilt the glove compartment door up. Replace the hinge tabs on the inside of the glove compartment. 9. Put all of your staff back in the glove compartment. And you're done!
