Mine had similar problems at about 50000 miles. There could be many things, but mine was a bearing in the drive system between the engine and transmission. The first step is to determine where the whining is coming from. You can use a stethescope to help with that. If it's from the left side in the housing behind the engine, then maybe you have the same bearing problem. It could also be the power steearing pump, check there too.

I had the same problem, cured it with a new thermostat! If you are mildly handy you can replace it yourself. Thermostats usually cost less than $10-$15 (make sure to get the gasket with it). To find the thermostat housing follow the top radiator hose back to the engine. The housing that the hose is connected to is the housing. It's held on with 2 metric bolts, you will probably need a deep socket, I think there is a pin on the top of one bolt. If you move quickly you can replace the thermostat with out drain the radiator some (make sure the new gasket is in place prior to starting). Once the new thermostat is in place and the housing is tight you will need to start the engine and let it warm up. While it's warming up add some antifreeze mix to the overflow container to replace what you lost. Once the engine is warm, excess air needs to be bleed off. To do that open the brass valve on the thermostat housing a bit. Once antifreeze starts coming out close it. I generally wait a couple of minutes and repeat the procedure. To you lurkers who are in the know, did I leave anything out?

If the short is in the speaker itself just replace the speaker.

Use a wet-dry vacuum cleaner and a piece of garden hose. Take duct tape and connect the hose to the smallest nozzle on the vacuum. Turn on the vacuum and lower the hose into the drain and it will suck the litter out. I used this same method to remove lint from an underground dryer vent filled with water. Worked like a charm. PS: Why? As automatics go, the is300 has a great one. If your boosting performance you could upgrade your tranny ( or parts) to handle the increase strain. If you just want the control, get used to the paddles (buttons, with some practice they're very useful - try going into a sharp turn at 60, keep your foot on the gas, down shift , and power through)

First thing to check is the encryption, a 'new' router would be using WPA encryption, but a DS Lite only supports WEP. You'd have to log into the router's settings and change it.

I have a 2000 Kia Sportage and when the hold button is flashing, the transmission is locked in low, by the gear shift is a button that says, hold, some how it got pushed, you might have a button on the dash that says, power and economy, I read in the manuel that it should be in economy for every day driving, if you are towing something, you can use power, and the hold, it lets the transmission, pull harder, and doesn't shift as fast.

Hi, Your short cycling condition is likely to be due to a automatic reset device inside of your A.C. condensing unit outside.
Most likely a High Refrigerant pressure limit switch or a Low Refrigerant pressure limit switch that is automatically reseting itself after the unit sits for awhile and then repeating its cycle until someone goes out there and remedies the condition causing this.
Some compressor have safety limit switches connected to their windings that will do the same type thing.
Just a few examples of what could be causing this trouble are as follows. Compressor condenser coils dirty or air flow pattern obstructed in some way by some alien type object being place in such a way by it that it obstructs normal air flow for proper operation. Bad or weak running capacitor on either the condenser fan motor or compressor. Fan motor runs and cuts itself off on internal overload condition thus causing a chain effect with the high pressure safety control. ( I've personnally seen all of these many many many times and they are the most common ) There are others, but in all likely hood this will find your problem. Hope this helps: Jimiwane
