How do you engage the 4 wheel drive on a 1993 jeep Cherokee?
if you have to ask this then I would have to guess that your Cherokee is NOT a 4wd model...otherwise the 4wd SHIFTER right beside the regular shifter would be a very obvious clueon how to do this.
If what you mean is exactly how and "when can you" then you can engage 4hi at any time moving or stopped but to engage 4low you need to be stopped completely and in neutral. same answers for going back to 2wd.
All wheels must be off the ground to turn if servicing !
Where is the PCV valve on a 94 Jeep Cherokee Laredo?
may i ask what size engine it has? The 4.0 six has no PCV, but uses a small hose from the back of the valve cover to the intake to perform that function. The front hose is a fresh air inlet from the air cleaner. Additional Info: If you are running a V8, the pcv valve is the plastic gadget poking out of the top of the valve cover with a 3/8" (?) hose connected to it.
it's what thay call the park switch ,,it's on the wiper motor ,,some park switches can be replaced some you have to replace the motor it self ..hope this helps
How do you open the hood of a 2002 Saturn Vue if the hood cable is broken?
Our 2004 Saturn Vue hood release can be opened (if the cable is not broken) by disconnecting the cable from the back of the release lever, grabbing the ball on the end of the cable with some large pliers ("channel locks") and pulling hard. A metal "wire keeper" bracket clamped to the cable end under the hood to serve as a spacer and the release lever works.
yes. you need to take out the front end and bolt it on. then take out te transfer case and front drive shaft.
All you have to do is unplug the wires going to the transfer case, and plug it back up if you ever have to use 4x4 again. If you do want to change it to 4x2 it will cost you alot.
Why do you have a clicking noise when driving your 1993 caprice?

Those transmissions have whats called a "Quick Connect" fitting. There are little plastic tabs on the fittings that must be pushed in so that the line can be pulled out.

Why would a 1996 Concorde interior lights come on as soon as the car is shut off?
I am not too familiar with the 1996 Concorde, but most of the newer vehicles turn on the interior lighting when the ignition is turned off. This is to allow you to see inside the car before exiting without having to turn any lights on. They should turn off after about 40-50 seconds, or when the doors are locked and the alarm is activated.
Hello Go to this link they have a diagram and some photos which will help you. http://www.mercedesshop.com/Wikka/R107CenterVent
What you hear is lifter noise, its pretty normal. At start up there is no oil in the top end of the engine so the unlubricated valve system will make noise until the oil can reach it. The valves may or may not need adjusting, Hydraulic lifters require oil pressure to take up the slack and if the noise does not persist after oil pressure is obtained then most likely not. Some oil treatment and more frequent oil changes may make the tick stop completely.
Where or how do you replace or remap an ECU on a Mitsubishi 2003 lancer OZ?
THIS ANSWER IS INTENDED TO HELP YOU REMOVE THE ECU SO THAT A REPLACEMENT CAN BE INSTALLED. THE ONLY WAY TO REMAP AN ECU IS TO HAVE A MITSUBISHI DEALERSHIP OR A FOREIGN CAR MECHANIC REMAP IT FOR YOU BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A REMAPPING PROCESS WITHOUT INSTALLING AN AFTERMARKET PROCESSOR THAT IS DESIGNED FOR YOUR MODEL LANCER. AFTERMARKET PROCESSORS WILL ALLOW YOU TO ADJUST THE SETTINGS AND DO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS TO YOUR IMPROVE YOUR ENGINE PERFORMANCE BY USING A LAPTOP OR A HANDHELD PROGRAMMER. ***TOOLS NEEDED: 1/4" DRIVE RATCHET, 1/4" DRIVE 10MM SOCKET, 1/4" ADAPTER AND A SHORT EXTENSION*** The first step that I always take when working on any electrical or electronic part is to remove the negative battery terminal off of the battery with a 10mm socket or wrench. The ecu is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger's side of the dash board. To get to the ecu wiring, you have to remove the plastic protective cover that is underneath the passengers side dash near the console. To remove this cover you have to pull it toward the seat. It should come out rather easy. After it is removed, you should be able to see the ecu wiring harnesses. There are four connectors, varying in size and are yellow or white in color. To remove theses connectors, press the tab located on the cabin side of the connector and pull straight down. (NOTE: This can be very hard to do because the connectors could be stuck in place. Be very careful not to pull so hard that the connector releases and you severe a wire or break the connector all together as this could be very, very expensive!) Disconnect all of the connectors following the procedure listed above. Once all of the wiring connectors are removed, you are ready to remove the ecu. This will require you to remove the glove compartment to gain access to the screws that secure it in place. First, you will need to empty the glove compartment and then locate the removeable brace on the back left side. This is the piece the rests against the dash that outlines the glove compartment when closed. Reach inside and while holding the compartment slightly closed, push inward to unsecure the piece and then pull it out. Now push the back of the storage section of the glove compartment to the left just enough to get the other side around the dash on the right side. The compartment should be able to fall freely and hang upside down. Now you can unhook the hinges by lining up the open sections and pulling it off. Now you should be able to see two or three screws that secure a bracket for the ecu in place. (You can trace the ecu straight up and see the brackets and the screws. They are very obvious and easy to remove.) Remove the screws and pull the ecu out from under the dash. You will have to turn it and rotate it a little to get it out, but it is fairly easy to remove. Now you should examine the new ecu to make sure that the model numbers match as well as making sure that everything is present on the new one as well. On some replacement ecu's, the bracket has to be changed out. Install the new ecu by putting it back in it position with the wiring connections facing down and reinstalling the securing bolts, tightening them until they are snug. The wiring connectors are unique in size and have slots on them that will only connect to one slot. Replace each connector by placing them in the proper slot and pushing up until you hear a clicking sound that lets you know it is securely fastened. After all of your wiring connections are connected, reinstall the glove compartment by lining up the hinges and getting the piece back inside the dash by pushing the back to the left and pushing it inward. Now replace the removeable piece by placing it through the open slot on the back left corner and pushing it in. Reconnect the Negative battery terminal and, without starting the engine, turn the key on and check to see that everything inside the car is working. Let the car sit in this position for two to three minutes to make sure that nothing happens to your accessories i.e guages, lights stereo, etc. If everything is good, turn the key off and then start the engine (pray) without giving it any throttle. Let the engine run at idle for a while to give the ecu time to locate and recognize all of its parts and systems and set the parameters for each. If any problems are present, they will present themselves during this time period. After 10 to 15 minutes, take the car for a test drive around the block making sure to drive it for 5 or 10 minutes to ensure proper operation at regular speeds (25 to 55 mph). If it runs okay, you might want to take it out for a test run on the interstate or a main highway where you can achieve higher speeds (55 to 75 mph) to ensure proper operation. If at anytime the Service Engine Soon or the Engine shaped light comes on, stop immediately and take your vehicle to the nearest place available to have a diagnostics ran to pull the engine codes. (I believe that Autozone will hook your vehicle up to their diagnostics computer, pull the codes and give you a general idea as to the nature of the problem.) You should be able to get back to driving your vehicle now, so thank you for using my answer to the question!
Where are the bolts needed to tighten the v-belt located on a 98 Plymouth Voyager with 3.0 engine?
if it is a serpentine belt, there is a tension pully that keeps it tight if is a v blet , u generally adjust the tension by moving the alternator
There is no idle vacuum line on P/S. I don't know how you tightened a serpentine belt when their is no provision for doing that. The tension is controlled by the idler tension pulley. If you are referring to a normal drive belt, then set the deflection at mid point of the belt to approximately 1/4". Check with Chrysler for the exact specs on deflection.
What could cause your 2003 Jeep Cherokee Larado to overheat when idling?
There is no such thing as a 2003 Jeep Cherokee. The last year for the XJ was 2001.
Answercheck radiator fan relay.who ever this is saying that there is no such thing as a 2003 jeep Cherokee needs to stop trying to answer questions. you are an idiot. I have a 2003 Cherokee loredo so do your home work and stop being pretentious
Speaking of idiots, can't you even tell the difference between a Cherokee and a GRAND Cherokee? These two vehicles have almost nothing in common except for the drive train. The XJ Cherokee has been out of production since the end of the 2001 model year. I stand by my answer.
Also, the last year for the LAREDO package on the XJ Cherokee was 1992. I have one of them.

Is 70 to 75 PSI oil pressure too high for a 1985 jeep Cherokee?
On a cold engine this may be normal, but on a hot engine this is possibly a sign of a problem. Too much oil pressure can create problems. The oil pressure sending unit may be bad and reading incorrectly. You may have a stuck relief valve in the oil pump. If the pressure valve fails to open, pressure can reach dangerously high levels and may rupture the oil filter or force out oil gallery plugs. Replace the pump or valve (if separate) to cure this condition. Other causes of excessive oil pressure can include a restriction or blockage in the main oil gallery, or a combination of tight bearing clearances, partially spun bearing, high rpm operation and using an oil viscosity that
