Why would your distributer cap cause a you to be shocked when you touch it?
Because there is high voltage present and as the cap and wires get older a certain amount of current will pass on the outside of the cap.( May be an indication of a need for wires and cap, rotor) So when your body provides a better ground, the voltage will jump thru you instead of the spark plug wires. Wakes you up quick right? Mark
Usually because there is a crack in it. It should be replaced.

Is it common for radiators to leak on a 2002 Pontiac Montana and how would you replace one?
It is typical for the 3.4 liter motor to develop head gasket leaks. It usually shows up as a low coolant condition and then develops into a temperature problem. You should have it pressure tested to see if it is the radiator or the head gasket. Answer No it is not common for rads to leak. Most likely it is not the rad unless you have actually seen it. It is probably the intake gasket which will leak coolant. This is a very common problem on these vans.
Why does my Radiator fan fuse blows?
Make sure it is turning freely, and not binding. Spin the blades and listen for the noise of worn bearings. If it blows the fuse as soon as it comes on, it may be a defective motor or a short in the wiring. If it blows after running for awhile, the motor is overheating and needs replacing.
This is an extreme amount to loose. Common sense tells you that you have a leak. The question is where is the leak? If you cannot see coolant on the pavement, then I would suspect one of two things. Either the coolant is leaking near the exhaust manifold and burning off, or you have an internal leak into the combustion chamber, ie, a blown head gasket or cracked head. Do you smell coolant? I suggest you have a compression test run asap. This will verify an internal leak. Remove the radiator cap on a cold engine, start the engine, look for air bubbles in the radiator. If you see some, you have a internal engine problem. Have this repaired immediately or you may do serious damage to this engine.
How do you remove a radiator from a Renault Espace 2000?
First drain it by releasing bottom hose, then remove top hose.
Removing the offside intercooler hose is awkward but makes the job a lot easier later due to lack of space.
Remove front grill (torx screws, 2 on top,2 inside grill under headlights & release side clips)
Slide out both clips from lower radiator lugs (from underneath car).may be better done before you drain it.
Remove both headlights (height adjusting motors are a bayonet type push and twist fitting )
Remove temp sensor wires, unclip and move aside fan wiring, one tiny torx screw fastens a wiring harness to the nearside of the radiator, remove this.
Remove the top slam panel (4 bolts) (if you leave the cable attached put ample rags aronud each end to prevent scratching and support it out of your way)
The complete radiator, intercooler and fan assembly can then be lifted out as one and split later, but be warned the original Renault rad is heavy and is best done with 2 people to aviod damage.
I changed mine this March and it cost me £138 delivered from autokool-ltd via eBay (can I say that on here) As I recall that was how I did mine, nothing to difficult apart from getting to the inner font grill screws.

How do you replace the radiator on a 1995 Lincoln Continental?
The vehicle has to be off the ground preferably on a lift I used two pieces of wire under the hood to hold the radiator in place so it would not drop down suddenly. There is a metal bracket running the length of the bottom of the radiator which actually holds it in place. I can't explain where to begin but your radiator is removed from the bottom of the car. Hope this helps
there should be an overflow container on or near one of the wheel wells. that is where to add anti freeze to most newer model vehicles

change the thermostat. sounds like it is stuck open, allowing high flow through the radiator at highway speeds where the air flow rate accross the radiator is enough to keep it cool. In the city the fan thermostat turns the fan off to maintain temperature. Nice easy and inexpensive fix. Should also improve milage slightly.
How do you remove the radiator on a 1994 Dodge Intrepid?
First you must remove the cross support. This is across the front/top of radiator and is in your way. It is only four bolts. They all face up. Two on left, two on right.
Secondly remove the two coolant hoses ( top left/bottom right) and the two transmission lines (right side top and bottom).
Third remove the two bolts holding the radiator in (top left and right). These all face towards the front of the car. Now you can move the radiator, electric fans and a/c condensor around some.
Fourth remove the four bolts that hold the a/c condensor to the radiator ( two on the right top/bottom, two on the left top/bottom). These four bolts face towards the front of the car. The top two you can get from above, the bottom two you will have to get at through the front of the bumper.
Fifth remove the electric fans. Four bolts facing the engine. Top/ bottom left/right.
You can now remove the radiator. Before putting the new one in remove and replace all of the bolt clips. There will be 10. Also replace the bushings at the top radiator bolts and the bottom and make sure that the old ones are goen or the radiator won't fit. That is it.
When you remove the radiator from the car there are 4 bolts that you have to go trough the bumper to get to because they are connected to the air conditioning condenser. there is then two bolts to the frame at the top. and you have to remove the crossmember that has the hood latch on it to pull it out. that's how I got mine out (hope it's the same).
