How to unlock ignition for 2000 Saturn SC1?

your question is not very clean on your exact problem. I do know that saturns do have the tendancy to "Lock" the steering wheel to the point you cannot turn the ignition key. to remedy this, move the wheel back and forth with force while turning the key, sometimes the lock pin can get bound up in the steering column and prevent the key from turning.

What is the factory setting security code for the radio in your 1996 Rav4?

AnswerI don't know if the codes are the same for all rav4 that is made, or any cars but you usually get the codes when you buy your car. I believe each car has its own codes. It comes in a card with you car manuals. The dealer gives it to you so that incase your battery dies out you can put in the codes to get it back on. If you bought the car from someone and not the dealer maybe that person still has the codes. If not I think the dealer would still have it on data. I think maybe they just need your vin number or something.

If you have disconnected the battery like me without supplying a backup to the battery don't worry it's an easy problem to fix. Lift the plastic panel off the chassis under the drivers seat and write down the last three numbers. Presumably SEC appears on your audio LCD screen like mine. Next step Press the number "1" button and the ">" tune button at the same time. Next step "---" will appear, Enter your pin numnber you wrote down. Next step press the scan button within 10 seconds of entering pin and BINGO one audio security system unlocked!

How do you know if your key is a transponder key?

the plastic cover on a key with an immobilizer is softer and larger than one without. if you have no key to compare, look on the dash with the key not in the ignition. if there is a red light in the shape of a car with a key shape on it that flashes every 2 seconds or so, it has a transponder. when you put the key in the ignition the light turns off.

How do you change the air filter on the 1998 RAV4?

I just did this on my '99 RAV4. Very simple. With the hood open, you'll see a large black plastic "box" on the mid-right hand side. There are two metal clips on the right hand side of it holding the lid closed. Pop them open and lift the top which bends back to the left. You'll have to use a little force and manouver since there is a hose attached on the left but it bends. Pull the old filter out, slip in the new one. Top down, clips back on. Done. Just be sure that you haven't dislodged the cap on something right in front of the air filter box. Not sure what it is - for coolant? It's a small cap I noticed popped off when I pulled the air filter lid back. Just put it back on if it comes off. Maybe mine wasn't securely tightened to begin with.

How do you shut off the 'low tire' pressure light on a 2000 Monte Carlo SS?

The settings and resest to those settings can be found on your factory radio. If you have an aftermarket radio, you'll have to see your dealer to reset it. Otherwise, press and hold the "tune" knob (under the volume knob). You'll notice on the radio display, it will indicate "Settings". Press the arrow keys, under the volume to toggle between settings. When you get to Tire Monitor, press the arrow keys to the right (1 and 2 of the radio presets) until you see (reset), then press the tune button again and you'll hear a beep to confirm. There might be a reset button in the glove box or fuse box. It should say in your owner's manual.

Where is the oil filter located on a 318i BMW 1998?

Let me 1st say that I have a 318IS, not a 1998 318I. With that said, the oil filter is on top of the engine driver side, a little more toward the center of the engine, under a 2-1/2" to 3-1/2" hard plastic or metal cannister(black). The cannister has a dome shaped top. Must use oil filter wrench to remove/install.

Where is the oil filter on Toyota trundra 2007 with 5.7 engine?

Believe me it not as easy as you think. The oil filter is up under the skid plate on the 5.7L engine and it's NOT a traditional spin-on filter. I went looking for it, finally I went on the Toyota owners web page to find out how to change the oil filter. After reading that it's a paper filter and requires dropping the skid plate and removing 4 screws to change the filter (If you don't get it sealed right it will leak.) I decided to let Toyota change it and avoid the hassle. ALSO the engine requires 0-20 viscosity oil or in a pinch 5-20 for a short term fix.

I used to do all my own maintenance on my vehicles. Today it's imposable I think I still know how to check the air in the tires and Toyota already has an on-board gauge for that.

My local Toyota dealer charges $29 to change the oil in my 2008 5.7L Tundra. It's not worth my time to do it myself. If you decide to do it yourself then you will need a special tool that you get from "Snap-on" tools. It is a MUST to have the tool. If you go looking for the Transmission dip stick. (there is none) the transmission is rated to go 100,000 miles before you change the tranny oil. I suggest you go talk to a "Toyota Service Manager" if you don't believe me.

Is th 1995 Mazda Protege an OBD-II?

Look for the OBD II connector under the driver's side dash. It was required 1996 and up but some models had the connector before it was necessary.

Answer96 and up

According to the Chilton's manual, the 1995 Protege and Millenia are OBD-II, also 1994-1995 Mazda 626 with ATX transmissions are OBD-II, and then all models 96 and up...

I have a 95 buick with OBD II, however it requires a different plug to work with a scanner. If you take the car to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts to have them scan it and it won't scan it could be the same reason mine won't. In 95 they were transitioning to the (then new) OBD II system, and some of the first OBD II harnesses only had 5 pins rather than the full (I believe 10 pins) found on the 96 and later OBD II harnesses.
