How do you bleed the clutch on a 1982 Toyota Pickup 2WD?
First you will need a helper. Second a small 1/8 inch ID Clear rubber hose about 3 ft long, a bottle to catch the brake fluid and the correct size box end wrench (so you don't screw up the bleeder value). Next locate the bleeder value on the slave cylinder attach your clear hose. Have your helper "pump" the clutch pedal 4 to 5 times and hold it down then you turn the wrench to release the pressure. Then tighten it and have your helper pump the pedal again and repeat till you feel the air is removed from the line. Good Luck and Remember.

Maybe 1 at 25 and 3 at 65. the only drawback is that with a heavy load my r22e engine and auto trans. downshifts out of overdrive a lot on the highway. It just doesn't have enough power to keep up.

My backup lights have not worked since god nows when..
so today I finally drag myself under the truck and look around for the reverse switch thing (2 prong switch that sticks out from the tranny)
on mine it was on the passenger side, very easily to see.
At first I could see that the plug was only halfway on, so I think "oh yeah, easy fix" so I plug it all the way in, put my key to the "on" possison and put her in reverse, go to the back of the truck.. nothing.
So okay, I crawl back under the truck and kinda think for a second.
I then realize that the switch can go on upside down and you cant tell the difference.
So I flip the wire around and plug it back in and what do I see when I go to the back end of the truck?
My reverse lights work!!
So if anyone has has tranny work and since then the reverse lights don't work, try this, its pretty easy to mess up the switch since it plugs in perfectly right side up or upside down, so the shop might have plugged it in upside down

-Turn down the torsion bars a little. I'm gonna get about 2-3in lower by doing that. The adjusting bolts are located on the cross-member.
-Also I don't know if it's a problem with your trucks, but my front tires wear quickly on the outside edges. By turning the torsion bars down it should hopefully fix this geometry problem too.
-For even more drop you can buy drop spindles from Belltech.
-Also you could try a trick and flip the ball joints upside-down.
-Make sure you buy drop shocks, as they will give you a stiffer ride. (A good thing if & when you remove the bump stops) -Heres a link that might help. This guy adjusted for a lift, so make sure you turn the bolt the other direction! lol. You get the idea...

They are retained by the hub and bearing assembly. You must pull off the lockout hub and pull the bearings out, then the whol rotor and hub assembly will come off together, then to reinstall the bearing preload must be reset, it is not a job for the novice.

In my experience it is either the fuse in the fuse box or a fusable link either of which is easily explained in a Haynes Repair Manual or your vehicle's Owner's Manual. They hide this one, and nobody knows why. Believe it or not, it's just to the right, of the controls that adjust the temp, fan speed, ect. Remove the glove box, and look in the area, next to the control assy. Now you know the secret location.
