How do you reset the Check engine light on a 96 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra?
This has to be done with a OBD2 scan tool. You might be able to get your local Autozone or Advanced Auto parts to do it. But different government agencies have been telling them not to do it. So you either have to buy the scan tool to do it, or pay to have someone else do it. Its cheaper probly to do it yourself. I think AutoZone has a small hand held scanner tool for 50 bucks or so. Its the same tool they use to scan your car if you ask them too. Ask them to borrow it so you can reset your light, sometimes the let you do that too..

I have a 2005 Aztec, the shifter has a "u" shaped pin located on the front towards the dash if you use a small screw driver you can loosen the pin enough, then use a small pair of plyer to put it out. The shifter will then pull up. Hint. With your foot on the brake...put shifter in low gear to create more space to access this pin

The same as any other vehicle. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan and allow all oil to drain out. Replace the drain plug tightening to 20 lb/ft torque. Remove the oil filter and make sure the old gasket comes off. Wipe the area with a clean rag. Apply a thin coat of oil to the new filter gasket. Install the filter and tighten 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. NO MORE NO LESS!!! Pour in the proper amount and weight of oil. More than likely 5 quarts: 5w30 ( Check your owners manual for the exact amount and weight) Start the engine and check for leaks.

The totally electric car would be the most efficient. But as of now, the only commercial car that can use electric exclusively is the Chevy Volt and it will only get, at best , about 38 miles to a charge. But Unfortunately, it also has a gasoline engine that will get you about 300 miles so to say it is an all electric car is false.
I would like to add that as far as all of the "efficient cars out there today, I think the Toyota Prius is the most practical AND efficient. When the car is cruising at highway speeds, the electric motor is running the car. When the gasoline motor is running the car it is ALSO recharging the batteries for the electric engine. And the fact that it gets a healthy 40-50 mpg over all probably makes it the most efficient car today/
E-flasher work turn signal doesn't 1996 Cherokee?
OK, it is not a flasher in the common sense, but rather a relay that plugs in just above the fuse box. You must remove the fuse box cover panel and then the kickpanel cover, which has two screws and all located behind the passenger side kick panel. I have ordered the relay from Jeep and the part number they provided is: 56007243, which is the flasher for both the turn signals and the emergency flasher. The part should be here in a couple of days and if any of this changes I will update this posting.
if its injection then the best way is to remove the fuel line at the engine and add a longer pipe to it so it clears the car catch it with wotever you are going to use turn the ignition on (not starting position) and let the pump do the work of draining the car.
