What do you do if you put diesel in a petrol car?
DO NOT ATTEMPT to start the vehicle. You must drain the tank (drop it or siphon it out). Then fill it up completely with the correct fuel. After you start it, you may experience white smoke....this should be temporary. I WOULD SUGGEST CHANGING THESE SPARK PLUGS AS THEY MAY BECOME FOULED AFTER THIS.
Your right turning signal blinks really fast what does that mean on a 2002 Ford ZX2?

What oil is used for Volkswagen Passat 2003 automatic transmission?
I found using the Mobil-One 0w30 synthetic oil to have the best results. It's not cheap but it works for me.
How do you replace the hazard flasher switch in a 1999 VW Passat?
It's really easy. There is a blank filling a hole directly below the hazard sw. Use a small screwdriver, and carefully prise this out. Insert your finger into the hole, and up into the back of the hazard switch and ease it forward. you can prise it out with a screwdriver also, but i found this method offered less chance of damage to the dash.
On a side note, my 2001 wagon has the heated seats & so the blank is below not only the hazard relay switch but the heated seats control knob. So it's unreachable from the blank spot. That being said I just popped the switch out as described. (I used a butter knife) to get the face of the button off then pliers to pull the switch out. Easy as pie.
Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Depress and release MENU push button until SERVICE INTV = is displayed. Press and release STEP button to step through available options

When should brake pads be replaced?
When they are about 3/4 worn before scoring and damage to rotors occurs
How do you know if you put too much oil in your Chevy silverado?
check the level with the oil dipstick. cross hatched section indicates the correct amount of oil. lower mark means 1 qt low, so anywhere within the cross hatching is good. if you have too much the oil will be over the upper mark.

Go to the library or to the auto parts store and buy the Chiltons manual for this car- All the wiring diagrams for the vehicle are in the back of the manuals. rniz
Haynes makes a manual that is a bit easier to understand than the Chiltons. Autozone and NAPA sell them.

Above instructions are great except that it is in fact much easier than that. You don't need to take off the cover that's attached to the glass - that means you don't need to do anything with the wiper.
Tools: 13mm hex, small adjustable spanner
Battery: Wal-mart EverStart 48N ($77 before tax)
Steps:
1) Pop the hood and take off the battery cover (the entire set as shown in the above instructions)
2) Use the spanner to take off the battery connectors (negative first then positive)
3) Unplug the vent pipe
4) Use 13mm hex (probably with extension) to take off the bracket that holds the battery on the left (negative side).
5) Take off the center clip of the cover that's attached to the windshield so that the cover can come off a bit to make way to the battery
6) Now take the battery out by holding the battery grip
7) Put back in the new battery
8) Put the hose and the connectors (positive first then negative)
9) Put back the center clip to the cover, and place the battery cover
10) Now set the clock :)

Do all Minis require premium gas?
Yes.....Non-S models run fine on regular fuel.
Not true. I've put regular gas in my 2003 mini S from day one - and it runs fine.
---
reason why the S model needs premium gas is because of the super charger. theirs a higher compression ratio.
they will start to "knock" after a while. if u run it hard then I'll degrade the engine much faster.
---
My Mini S has 82K miles on it. I drive it very hard. It's never knocked. Runs smooth as can be... and I've NEVER put premium gas in it. No need to waist the money!
On 1998 Tuarus' You must roate the plunger with either a needle nose pliers or the specilty tool that ford makes, i use a channel lock pliers being very careful not taer the boot or go the wrong way and remove the plunger. I belive it is for most of this model run of tuarus' that you do this it is a really bad design.
i would get some one to check that out it sounds pretty scarry! i would stay out of that room for a while.
Or suspension component bushings.
What would the odd smell be coming through the vents on a 1995 Monte Carlo only when heat is on?
the best possible guess I could think of is mice... If it's a chemical smell, you might have a heater core leak. If it's a mildew smell, maybe you have an interior air filter that is funky.
What is the year of manufacture of rem model 14A?
The Remington Model 14A was manufactured starting in 1915 and continued until 1936. It is a variation of the Remington Model 14, which was introduced in 1912. If you have a specific serial number, it may help determine the exact year of manufacture for that particular firearm.
Why would a car stall when you step on the gas?
It's probably not getting enough fuel. Check the fuel filter but more likely the fuel pump.
In addition to lack of fuel it could be a monster vacuum leak. Does this condition improve as the engine gets to normal operating condition? I struggled with a leaky intake manifold gasket for two winter season. After six trips to local mechanics and as many reasons it was discovered at the local Lincoln dealer...by
accident. Vehicle has 180k miles now and starts, idles like new
oil pressure is created by the oil pump, which is driven mechanically as the engine turns, and the faster it revs the harder it pumps. It should deliver enough pressure at idle for the light to stay off. Your problem is either a worn oil pump or your oil is too thin and needs changing. If you have an old engine, put in a heavier oil. Penrite 50 is good. Hi another possibility is your idle is set too low Also, you could have a bad or weak pressure release valve in your oil pump. (AKA bypass valve). In addition, if the oil has not been changed in a long time the oil filter may be filled with sludge reducing the pressure. Changing the oil and filter first to heavier oil is a good first step.
Your engine bearings may be worn and letting too much oil escape, resulting in low pressure when the oil pump is running slower (when the engine is running at idle). Revving the engine too high can cause damage to the rod bearings and allow oil to escape too easily. If your engine has a lot of miles on it, or if it has been run without changing the oil regularly, your engine will have a lot of wear. The oil pump, main bearings, rod bearings, and camshaft bearings may all have a lot of wear on them allowing the oil to easily escape without allowing pressure to build up. Rebuilding your engine may be needed. But try changing the oil pump first.
