Have your elements checked in your hot water heater if its electric. For some goofy reason it will cause air in the tank and pipes. I have the same problem when I have an element go bad.
How do you replace the water pump on a 2000 Plymouth Neon?
Replacing the water pump on the 2000 Neon is a parallel to the explaination of replacing the timing belt which I have posted an answer for. If you have over 100,000 miles on the car, look at replacing the timing belt as well.

Where is the water pump located in the engine?
Most, but not all water pumps are located at the front of an engine
have you tried using a garden hose, and then strating a siphon with it? Sort of like siphoning gas.
If you are not talking about a lot of water, than you could use a big shop vac and empty it as needed. Check for a paper filter in the vac before starting, if it is like most shop vac you will need to remove this filter before using it with water. also, make sure it is a wet/dry vac.
I use a garden hose or my vac hose, , but it will not drain it completely. There is not enough water pressure once the majority of the water is out. I secure a heavy wrench on the end to keep it underwater. Then I take a small fish pond pump to drain the rest. Of course, if you plan to replace the liner, just cut a small slit in the bottom. Hope this helps.
Are symptoms of a broken heater core constant or do they occur on and off?
You are using the wrong antifreeze!
A "broken" heater core leaks. As the engine gets hot and coolant pressure rises, it will leak worse and worse, which may be when you notice it. Radiator stop leak may work for a while then the heater radiator ("core") may start leaking again. Or the stop leak may fix it. You may smell antifreeze odor inside the car. Don't breathe this stuff - it is deadly poisonous (destroys the liver)ESPECIALLY if vapors are inhaled. If you just HAVE to drive the vehicle to the repair shop, roll all the windows down and leave the heater/AC system "OFF" and the temperature control set to "COLD."
Does the shower drip constantly over a period of 4-5 hours, if not, it's water holding in the shower head which has a water saving feature that holds water in the head. If it drips constantly, you'll need to change your seals on your stems. It's fairly simple if you have the correct tools.
This depends on what your target pressure is.
If the height of the pipe is H in feet, the pressure at the bottom of the pipe from the column of water is 0.036127292 * H * 12 where 0.036127292 is the density of water in lbs/in^3. Thus, if your initial water pressure is I, the pressure at H feet will be I - 0.036127292 * H * 12
So you will have
Height | Pressure
+---------
0 ft | 40 psi
10 ft | 35 psi
20 ft | 31 psi
30 ft | 27 psi
40 ft | 23 psi
50 ft | 18 psi
60 ft | 14 psi
70 ft | 10 psi
80 ft | 5 psi
90 ft | 1 psi
100 ft | 0 psi
One will be required above 90 ft. You'll probably want one above 40 ft.

Where is the water pump located on a 1997 Chevy Cavalier?
On some engines (e.g. 2.4L) the water pump is inside the timing cover. Apparently it's not easily replaced... local garage wants $1200 to replace it and recommends replacing timing chain at the same time. ON THE 2.2 ITS LOCATED DIRECTLY UNDER THE ALTERNATOR. REAL EASY TO CHANGE.
How do you replace the water pump on a Toyota Previa?
Howdy, the watr pump is located next to the aux driveline attachemnt on the front end of the motor. Locate the point where the aux driveline attaches to tne engine, just toward the passenger side of the vehicle you will see a large water hose(2 inches diamter). This hose is attached to the water pump. Drain cooling system, or, disconnect the hose from the water pump carefully. There is plenty of coolant in the system and you may get a bath. If you can catch the coolant in a clean container, you can probably re-use the coolant. There is also a small hose attached to the pump, remove that one from the pump as well. Remove the bolts that hold the pump to the engine. Usually the pump is stuck to the engine, don't pry the pump off as you may damage the joining surfaces. Use a block of wood and a small hammer to break the seal. Carefully. After the pump is removed from the engine, there is a cover on the pump that is retained with two bolts, remove the cover. Before installing the new pump, there are two o-rings on the engine where the pump mounts that need to be replaced. Spend the extra dollar or two to replace these these, it will save a world of hurt later. The new pump should come with a new o-ring that mounts around the the housing on the pump where the drive for the pump engages with the engine. This one too should not be overlooked. To install, make sure mounting surfaces on pump and engine are clean and dry including o-rings(no oil grease, water etc). install the pump and gasket to the engine. Torque specs: short bolts 14 ft lbs, long bolts, 21 ft lbs. thermostat housing bolts, 15 ft lbs. By the way, as long as you are messing with the pump, this is a good time to change the thermostat. Another one of those "ounce of prevention". You may email me direct about Previa's. If I know, you will, if I don't.... please be patiient rockman@rockrounds.com
What should you do if you put in a new hot water tank but now you have no water pressure?
Call a plumber. Check that you re-opened all the valves you closed.
If your car still runs hot with a new water pump and thermostat what do you check next?
Check all your hoses and connections. Leaky Radiator? Possible clog in line.
AnswerI just had this problem with a 95 mustang. It was a blocked up radiator. Unfortunately we found that out after getting the heads decked, new intake gaskets, new head gaskets, new water pump, flushing the block, and a new thermostat.
check the fins on the radiator if they are loose you need a new rad
Maybe you need a freon boost.
No the particles are probably sand or metal. This could indicate a failed backflow preventer or failed pickup screen A failing bladder would be loosing pressure and cause the pump to run constantly.
Is it possible for a hydrostatic valve to leak pool water only when the pump is not running?
YES THERE IS A LOT OF TRASH THAT CAN GET IN THE VALVE TO MAKE IT LEAK. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO CLEAN IT
FURTHER
I found that with the pump running, the pool water was rising as apparently the pump was pulling water out of the ground. This was with the pool water low and the skimmer plugged off in order to try to filter after a bad storm. When I shut off the pump, the pool water went down as the valve did not seat properly.

How do you replace the water pump on a 2004 olds Alero 3.4L?
Pay about $600.00 or get the book. You have to remove crank shaft pulley, timing chain cover, very hard job.
You do not need to remove the crankshaft pulley to replace the water pump on a 3.4L v6.
If one wanted to remove the water pump housing/timing chain cover on this engine, then yes removal of the crankshaft pulley would be needed.
Maybe you are confusing this 3.4L with the 2.4L where as the water pump is driven by the timing chain.
This kind of repair at the mechanic wouldn't cost more than $100. It is a very easy job and the water pumps for these engines range from $10 - $30. It took me only 30 minutes to replace my water pump, and I'm only a hobbyist. I only paid $13.99 for my water pump.
I drive a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero 3.4L 3400 v6
Where is the water pump on a 96 Pontiac Grand Am?
Remove the power steering pump hose. Remove the wiring harness from the power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new power steering pump.
How do you change the water pump on a Jeep Cherokee 1997?
Replaced my own on same vehicle. Drain all coolant. Remove lower hose from water pump and be careful not to damage sensor. There is a short upper hose on top of the water pump under the accessory bracket. If you can remove this you are home free but if not it can be a daunting task. I couldn't remove mine and it involved removing the alternator and A/C compressor. I think I might have also had to remove the power steering pump as well to get the accessory bracket off to gain access to the hose.
There is also a metal tube on the right side of the water pump. Disconnect the rubber hose from it and the hold down nut on the valve cover.
Remove all bolts from water pump. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EACH BOLT LOCATION AS THEY ARE OF DIFFERENT LENGHTS. What I did was set the new pump nearby and as I removed each bolt from the old pump I put it into the proper location on the new pump so as to not get them mixed up.
The main thing is to take your time and study everything as you dissasemble it. This will make it easier to remember during installation. Write down notes if you have to.
